Hi Mark. You are welcome to help.
As I suspected the Alureon rootkit created a partition of your hard drive as shown below.
10:11:44.161 Disk 0 Partition 2 00 17 Hidd HPFS/NTFS NTFS 8 MB offset 78108030
Please click Start > right click my computer > choose Manage > as soon as the new opens the windows scroll down the left pane and double-click Disk Management. All installed drives will be develop in the right pane. Now, look for any marked partition hidden. If the partition is NOT listed as "Recovery" right-click on the hidden partition and choose Remove.
Note There are moments that disk management does not show hidden partitions. If this proves to be the case here, we use a third party software (free). Let us know the results please. Here is a picture of the management of the disks for reference only.

Why won't some of my running videos as they do in Internet Explorer?
Lots of videos from YouTube, Facebook and my Internet home page plays very jerky as I watch a movie of news in the 1920s. If I play the same video via Internet Explorer, all is well. What is the problem with Firefox? Only, this happened for a few weeks now. Thank you.
A quick check runs Firefox in Mode safe mode to see if an extension, theme, hardware acceleration, or one other assortment of settings are at fault. https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/troubleshoot-Firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Since you list Youtube, the videos in question should be on HTML5, but a plugin check never goes bad: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/plugincheck/. (Note: plug-ins are not affected by Safe Mode)
If the problem persists even in Safe Mode and your plug-ins are up-to-date, then the following things that come to mind that would target Firefox are antivirus and malware.
Update graphics drivers is generally not a bad idea, but might be an unlikely solution since IE can play the content fine.

"The page isn't redirecting properly" problem on Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 11
Hello
After installing a piece of hardware that increased the length/power of my wireless connection, and turned on my computer the next day, I loaded the 11 Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, but the two would not load Web pages with a "http://" in front of the 'www. '; they would only Web pages with an "https://" in front of the «www.» This problem occurred with persistence despite me both browsers the reset to the factory settings. I looked at prior to this problem solutions, but none of them does not work (I tried to reset my cookies and that has not worked as well as made sure that the cookies on both browsers have been activated and that didn't work either), for me at least.
I would really appreciate if you could give me a quick solution to this problem that this problem affects my most commonly used Web pages.
Thank you and best regards.
PS My internet works and I tried troubleshooting, but no problem arose with her.

For the past two weeks, whenever I connect to gmail or iGoogle home page I get a message from avast! Antivirus (free version) saying that it has detected a malicious site. This only happens when using Firefox. No message is displayed if I connect using Internet Explorer 8. I use Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, avast! Version 6.0.1367 (updated daily), Mozilla Firefox 10.0. I also use Malware Anti-Malware and SUPER Anti Spyware, bytes that are also updated regularly. The only recent downloads in my system were version 10.0 of Firefox and Microsoft Updates. I even tried to roll back to version 9, no change or improvement. What worries me, because it barely resembles the horizon, and I do not use IE, it is slower and does not include Ad Block, which I use a lot (apart from the fact that Microsoft is trying to push me to buy Windows 7 * IE9 does not work with XP *, which would require the upgrade my computer and for the moment there is no budget available.). I thank in advance for the help, you can send my way.
