    Hello

From Windows 8, Microsoft integrates Flash Player in Internet Explorer and all updates are distributed by Microsoft, no Adobe.

In addition to checking that Flash Player is enabled, please ensure that the ActiveX filtering is disabled, see difficulty ActiveX in Flash Player in Internet Explorer issues.

Today is patch Tuesday, which means that Microsoft will come out all sorts of updates, including an update to Flash Player for IE.  I don't know when they're going to live, because the update has not yet posted to Microsoft Security Advisory 2755801.  You can check this page later today, or run Windows Update later today or tomorrow to install updates.

  • Firewall Windows disable the Internet Explorer loads Up after slow start after the installation of Windows updates

Hello, (this the mystery of on and Off and back on Windows Firewall with slow loading of programs like Internet Explorer as this all is pass it on firewall, disable the firewall, the firewall, it occurs only during starts, after he fine / but very annoying on reboots whom he accuses of my computer down) / listed below is the cause of it , and when she first started, you have a solution?

I recently installed the last 16 (High Profile) updates to security, for most security updates and updates from net framework as well as the removal of malware for windows XP tool.

After installing these updates, now my Windows Firewall turns off during 'Boot Up' on all restarts. If I try to load Internet Explorer, it will also not load up to minutes serveral / while this happens... That's fine, then finally my firewall itself loads Up quickly turns to Internet Explorer and back on during this time around the same time.

After these updates these things are happening on my computer now, it's as if there is a process running, but nothing run any virus, Trojan or worm etc just these updates caused this problem. I don't know if it updates is corrupt or not, but have tried different things as system file checker /scan etc with no luck.

    (1) computer boots to the top and seems to Load Up Fine ' until the ' or 'Look at this' but isn't, something is running in the background or process "wing unstalled" is obviously "unhooked", etc..

    2) try to load Internet Explorer last minutes and is very slow to load up, even if I 'don't load Internet Explorer' must still a long while that as in the firewall turn off for awhile some several «minutes» (way too long), before "auto turn on automatically return.

    (3) turns firewall Windows itself on "finally" as Internet Explorer finally loads upwards as well the two Internet Explorer is able to load 'definitely' and the firewall is on "finally" as many minutes later as listed above, at the same time.

This could be the cause? Only, it has begun to 'After' I ran windows update and installed the 'most recently high security updates for windows XP' there were 16 listed mainly security updates and updates of net framework as well as the software removal tool windows malware.

That's all that is changed on my system, I tried many things, nothing seems to fix this problem with my computer. I know for a fact that these updates are the cause, but am not sure that you caused it? Or how do to solve this problem, any sugguestions would be appreciated.

Please answer questions following diagnosis by number in your very next answer (no need to quote this post):

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

2 a Norton or McAfee application already installed on the computer?

    3. do you have a Norton or McAfee free trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).

    4. you are using IE6, IE7 or IE8?

    5. have you ALREADY had the opportunity to do a Repair Installation of Windows XP for some reason any?

  • 1: 0x80042318__2 system restore error: Windows Media Player 11 will not work open__3: Internet Explorer 8 crashes when opening.

I have these three questions of program after reinstallation of Windows Vista and tried (mostly unsuccessful) using Windows Easy Transfer to move and reinstall my programs and files. My computer had some problems before start, (it would be almost always gives me the blue screen at startup and go into Startup Repair). The Startup Repair wouldn't fix anything and just lose about 20 minutes of my time. Finally, he wouldn't even load at all and the Startup Repair did not help so I decided to reinstall Windows Vista. It worked perfectly until what stupidly, I decided to try and use Windows easy transfer if everything goes well "to" my programs this new copy of Windows Vista.

So now my questions are: Windows Media Player 11 does not open. I don't see a thumbnails of videos that would open with Windows Vista either. Oddly, although I can use Windows Media Center very well. I also installed Quicktime player and it seems to work perfectly.
It was not catastrophic but especially a gene. I use VLC player to manage most of my videos very well, but love using WMP before.

Second: I can't create restore points at all. Once I try, I get this error message:
"The restore point could not be created for the following reason:
An error was detected in the copy Service VSS (Volume Shadow). The problem occurred while trying to connect with the VSS writers. Please check the event system service and the VSS service are running and look for errors related to event logs. (Ox80042318) Please try again. »

Finally, for some reason any after the transfer, eventually after Internet Explorer automatically updated it will completely freeze when I open it. This is for me the prompt to open the session previously was crushed, and if I try that or close the dialog to open just the home page, it will freeze completely, even the blue circle next to the name of the tab to load.
Fortunately, I have Firefox and Google Chrome installed, both work very well.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm not entirely fretting on IE8 and WMP 11 but I feel really that less stressed if I know that I have a System Restore Point in case my previous numbers start to happen again.

Other things you can try after trying the suggestions "Sreenkanth T" is to run the ChkDsk program.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found

Windows Easy Transfer moves not installed third-party programs on the whole, he does that move their settings, your files and settings Windows.

As you have just reinstalled Vista, where were your old programs and files (on which machine) when you used Windows Easy Transfer, you still have access to them?

You have to maybe do the reinstall once more but forget your settings and just manually copy all of your data?  This way you will give you restart with no old parameters of any other machine?

You can also consult the third-party program (costs a little money), but he can move everything, including the programs installed.

    Hello

You need to update your Internet Explorer operating system by following the advice of Microsoft's Windows Update, not the advice of Avast.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

Are you going to provide the other requested information (requested) on your system and if not, why not?

Did you run the scans listed in my previous post and if not, why not?  I am reluctant to work on weird problems with XP if MBAM and SAS have not been executed.

So far, I never saw a Microsoft Support Engineer in these forums effectively resolve an error DEP in the 'right' way.  Sometimes, they have some things to try (how that works for you?), but you don't need methods to try, you will need to do things that solve your problem.

I doubt that you have a memory problem or disk - which is not what causes the DEP errors.

If you have made any exceptions DEP in XP to try and get your working papers, you must cancel all DEP exceptions to go forward.

If I've ever seen Windows Explorer crashing and DEP errors, here's what I've done to understand what is happening:

When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you
    install new software.

Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).

If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.

First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for "Microsoft" sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) if all non-Microsoft extensions (all the 'Our') are on top and easy to see.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.
    You can Google something like:

Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on).

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to behave, you will know that an extension of this group of 3-5 is the culprit in order to start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.

You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave.  When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.

The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.

If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

If complains in Internet Explorer, run Internet Explorer with no Add-ons and see if you still have the problem.

If Internet Explorer then runs OK with no Add-ons, you can determine what add-on is the cause of the problem.

Fortunately, Windows has a built in option to run Internet Explorer with no Add - ons (imagine that).

To start Internet Explorer with no add-on, click on start, programs, System Tools, then choose:

    Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If you can't find that, click Start, run and enter in the box (or copy/beyond the next line):

    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe"-extoff

Click OK to start IE with no Add - ons.

IE will launch with a message reminding you that it runs with no Add - ons and ask you to click on the button Home (do) and then you can visit the web pages where you might think that you will get a DEP error.  Pages may be different, but you want to see if you still get the DEP error message or not.  You can then activate the Add-ons one at a time until find you the one that is causing problems.

  • Can not connect to internet with Internet Explorer, following a recent Windows Update

After installing the recent update of Windows, I was not able to connect to the internet without making a "diagnose and repair" Network Sharing Center. Someone had a problem with that in the last two weeks or more? I'm running a Windows Vista Home Edition with IE9.

    (5) is the update installed, or it is not?
    (6) what is the brand and model of the computer you're using?

    Method 1:

    Method 2:

  • Windos XP and Internet Explorer runs slow after turning to...

I really hope that someone can help me that the Forums have proved useful to me in the past.  This is my last issue.

One of my parents, for reasons that I won't, get updated his cable, phone and internet in one of these beams that offers local, rather than paying for phone company each separately.  She has an office of older model PC that runs Windows XP and worked it, Office 2003 (if the memories are good) and Internet Explorer (I mean IE8) very well and quickly.

After its upgrade of the high-speed line was complete one of the first things I did was to go to Microsoft to download a bunch of updates as it had been on dial until it was impossible to download everything that she needed (she had not kept with it but also rarely used the computer to get on the net so it was not that big a deal).  All XP downloaded approximately 77 updates and after a while successfully installed all of them.  He then restarted and soon after started incredibly slow operation.

Because it runs more slowly now that when she was on the dial upwards, she is ready to get rid of its highspeed which I said.  I think that one or more of 77 more updates, I installed may have done something.  Also his internet browser now looks like my laptop (Acer with Vista and IE 9) so I think that maybe his version of XP and IE do not play nice with them.  Finally something told me she had a Trojan horse, and some adware that I used Lavasoft to get rid of and their last free version is installed with moy.

Any help would be appreciated to untangle what is causing his PC suddenly run slow.  I'm tempted to use a restore point and go back, but I'm not sure how to go (and really, I've never used a prior restore point).  I'm half tempted to simply restore the entire hard drive but would have a copy of XP (I don't have a copy of Windows 98 that I some how came in possession of CD).

I am running Windows Vista and internet Explorer 8.  Until yesterday, we had no problem with this computer or Internet Explore.  Yesterday I went to log on and Internet Explorer crashes immediately, closes and does not have the ability to report this error.  I installed Firefox, but it does the same thing.  I uninstalled both programs and reinstalled without success.  I use Apple's SAFARI to do it now.  If I restart the computer in SafeMode work Firefox and Internet Explorer.  I ran my update Norton virus Scan without error.  I tried different malicious programs without error.  I tried to restore to a system restore point (5 stores points now) with an error saying whenever the system is unable to restore.  I found hundreds of "solutions" to this problem, but none of them have worked (including IE reset and disabling all add-ons).  We never received an error that something was wrong or a norton warning that there was an attack on the computer, just all this stopped working.  I have tried everything I know, but is there any chance, any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Why internet Explorer keep crash

I have two problems at the present time and assistance I received through this community forum have been invaluable in the past, I cannot praise the people who helped me high enough.

    1.

I was wondering if someone could tell me why internet explore crash. When I'm looking at a Web page, the little box comes up saying "internet explore has stopped working ' looking for a solution or something like that. It happens every time I open it, Google Chrome doesn't have this problem. I even bother open internet explore it is useless. When I send a mail through Outlook in Internet Explorer, it "is still running a problem" once I've finished typing a long e-mail involved and has for re - starting the program. When I attach an attachment, it crashes before I have even start typing, it can not upload an attachment. Is there a solution to this problem without end or should I just continue to use Google Chrome and uninstall Internet Explorer, I like than Bing.

With assistance through the community, forum, as I worked on the number 7 with a check mark next to it on my lock screen has notifications. I went into the screen where these notifications are and tried to remove them, but they seem to have no function of deletion when I right click (without touching the screen, using a mouse - laptop and I find Windows 8 fantastic). I was wondering if someone can tell me how to get rid of this 7 with a tick from my lock screen. I understand there is a limit to the number of programs that run on this lock screen, is that at the time. I turned off the notifications, but still the 7 and a tick, it never changes number. I know this isn't a big problem but it still bothers me.

Thanks for all your help I am technically challenged if you need all the help I can get.

Seems you might want to try resetting Internet Explorer from the Internet Options / Tools / Advanced tab... on the Advanced tab is a button Reset IE.    So if you want to save these press the ALT key, then the file menu appears in the upper left corner, it will remove things like favorites... Click on export and read a little.

Notifications on your lock screen that looked to be a white box with a check mark?   If that's what you want to say it's a picture of the side a postal mail envelope Rimming... means that your email has 7 unread messages.    I think that you that can disable by opening the bar charms / Pc settings / Notifications (left side of the page) / Mail (on the right scroll Mail and drag the slider to off)
