Internet Explorer 9 Question of compatibility

Internet Explorer 9 is compatible with XP? Already have IE 7.  What should I download IE 8 first?

Hello Sharon Simonds,

If you have Windows XP, you can have only IE 8. IE 9 is only available for Windows 7.

  • Flex & amp; Internet Explorer HTTPService question

We have a Flex application that connects to our service via HTTPService which, in a particular case, is supposed to return an IP address... In all other browsers (Firefox, Safari, etc.), the response raises the Flex event and everything is fine. However, in IE, the event never fires, and so our application never receives the response.

When I call the service directly via a URL, I see that the answer comes back.

    Any thoughts?

    see you soon,

    Jr

"... The problem however is that it raises the event at all when running in IE... "Yes, but the problem is something specific to your code or the environment.

This isn't a general problem with IE. He must first get ALL successful communication of HTTPService works with IE, then find the precise cause of your environment.

  • 12.1.3 JDeveloper and table for selection of rows in Internet Explorer 9

Configuration: Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9 12.1.3, JDeveloper (sorry, the company standard for now)

I have problems of selection of rows in a table when you use IE9 (disabled compatibility view) as my browser.  I created a simple application to test.  I did the following:

1 created a new web application from merger in JDev 12.1.3.

2 objects of business created for 1 table

    3. create a simple page (jspx) for testing

4 dropped the table on the side of Center of a PanelStretchLayout on the page as a table read-only with sorting and single-row selection enabled.

    5. changed the property table DisplayRow selected.  No other property has changed.

When I run the application, the table appears and is filled as expected.  However, after you select at random the rows in the table, the application will lose focus and become hidden behind other applications on my desktop.  If I bring the application in the foreground and try again the same thing will happen.  After the selections of line 1 X application will disappear from the screen.

I decided to reproduce the JDev 12.1.2 test.  In JDev 12.1.2 the application behaves as expected.  Never, the application loses focus after several attempts to select a field.

I wonder if something in the hotfix released to correct the 12 c/Internet Explorer 11 questions is the culprit.

Everyone knows about this problem?  I hope there is a change of ownership that I do in 12.1.3 to solve the problem.

    Thanks in advance!

A solution that seems to work...

Add a clientListener inside the table

    Add a javascript method

    function handleTableSelection() {
      window.focus();
    }

Just seems to bring the window to the front without changing anything, as far as I can tell.

  • My companies site only appears correctly in Internet Explorer compatibility view. Is there a way I can make it work properly in FireFox?

My small company uses JustHost to host our Web site.

Recently, I went to Firefox of Internet Explorer and found that the site is not displayed correctly. I looked back on Internet Explorer and found it was only display correctly on that because of the compatibility view.

I looked in the admin section of the site for a way to solve this problem, but I can't find anything. It is a problem, because it means that all potential customer consults our site without Internet Explorer won't be able to see properly.

Is it possible to update the site, so it can be displayed correctly in Firefox?

"Compatibility view" is a crutch for IE users, since the days when Microsoft thought they controlled the internet and had their own 'standards '.

You have some Fixin ' to do. All it may take is a tweak of the main CSS file, but it will take more than that.

  • Internet Explore has stopped working - question of the biometric authentication service

My Elitebook 8540p has developed a problem where I get the error message - Internet Explorer has stopped working... Turn it back on.     I am running Windows 7 32 bit.   And using IE9.

After some internet reading, I started my services of neutralization.    I finally got down to a service that is causing the problem.

Biometric Authentication Service Digital Persona Inc.

When I disable the service in the services of the MSconfig System Configuration and reboot, I use internet explore without any problem.    (I've identified some Web pages which would agrivate the question.)

The deactivation of the Service of Authenticaton of Biomitric causes the scanner to not work.     I tried to reload the driver for fingerprint reader, and the HP Protect tools Security Manager.

Any idea how I can activate the biometric authentication Service and not IE stopped working the issue?

    j1bissig

I had the same problem on my HP Pavilion dv7 and had the chance of getting a solution.

I, too, put the finger on biometric authentication as the problem Service.  By disabling the service, Internet Explorer worked well; except, now, I had no finger analysis feature.  I installed the latest version and it worked for a few sessions and then the problem comes back.

Looking at my updates, I realized that the Flash is set to update at the same time, the problem started.  I tested by activating the biometric authentication Service.  Instead, I disabled the Flash add-on in Internet Explorer and it did not work again; except, now, I had no Flash.

Searching online, I came across this post from Adobe:

Post on the Adobe Forum: IE9, Windows 7 64-bit Flash causes "Internet Explorer has stopped working".

I followed the instructions in this post, including the "clean install" and reverted to version 10.3 of Flash.

Post on the Adobe Forum: how to return to a previous version of Flash Player?

Now, all the features work correctly.

    I hope this helps!

Don't add a guest account, add another standard user if you want another user to access programs as well.

  • Muse from view of compatibility of Internet Explorer 11 - on intranet pages

    Hello

We recently started using Adobe Muse to create intranet sites for our company. What happens is that Internet Explorer 11 is by default set to 'intranet Sites to view in compatibility view '. This setting can be changed in tools > compatibility view settings and uncheck "display intranet sites in compatibility view. However, we do not want to ask end users to do this just to display an intranet site.

The compatibility view is causing pages to appear broken, hover over the items that don't appear not correctly, pages have text where text should not be, layouts are off, etc.

I tried a meta tag to override this setting in IE11 and it works. The tag will in your html < head > to disable compatibility view and display the page normally. It's this meta tag: < meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 11" / >

When I entered the following meta tag in Muse > Page Properties > metadata, Internet Explorer will not picking up the meta tag to turn off compatibility view. I read about this and it's because the entered meta tag is placed near the end of the < head > tag - close to the < / head > tag. When I go into Dreamweaver to edit the html code, I place the < meta http-equiv = "X-UA-Compatible" content = "IE = 11" / > tag just below the head of <>tag, save and try to open the page in IE11 on my intranet. It works! Compatibility view gets turned OFF

I don't want to keep tweaking the html metadata whenever I publish. Is it possible to precisely place this line of code in a project Muse so they could publish at the top of the list in the < head > area? It's about saving lives.

We understand the demand to be able to settle this in the .html files generated by Muse, but it is very unlikely to be part of a release of the Muse before the summer. Thus the only timely at this address way is to configure the server to include a response header specific when serving files .html in the structure of the folders in your site. "Server configuration" seems the whole, but in general, this means putting a few lines in a configuration file in the folder root of your site, but exactly what needs to be done is very specific to the server used.

  • Questions workspace and Internet Explorer 8?

    Hello

I'm using Hyperion EPM System 11. When I try to open a planning application the workspace on a client computer, it freezes on the status bar of open planning process, and the bottom of the browser then reads "error on page". The client computer has recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8. I tried the same process on another machine with IE7 and everything was properly executed. Workspace also worked before the upgrade to the new version of IE, so I think that this is the origin of the problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a setting or workaround to get the workspace in order to access the applications of planning with IE8? Thank you very much for the help.

    Hello

IE8 only is not supported yet so probably the reason why you have questions, I know people who have tried to use IE8 in saying that it certainly completely does not work with EPM yet. Which could mean that you need to go back to IE7 to be sure.

  • How to pass in compatibility mode I have with Internet Explorer?

I am not able to open programs for my job because the message reads "Sorry, your browser or program is not supported by Web Dynpro!". When I use Internet Explorer & saw this message, I was able to "create Mode' that corrects the problem. I don't know how to correct with Firefox...

It is not the first time that problems with Web Dynpro are reported on this forum and you may not be able to solve this problem.

  • Vanuit kan Modzilla via hotmail geen mail question reply meer (het wel via Internet Explorer works)

When I use Modzilla as internet browser, I can't sent an email from my hotmail account. IK don't have this problem when I use Internet Explorer.
I have this problem with Modzilla since yesterday.

IK heb said clean are great. ER verschijnt geen foutmelding, er gebeurt op 'nieuw' to 'reply' klik als ik niets free.

You can try the basic steps like these in case of problems with web pages:

Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • Glitch in the Internet Explorer browser? Do not know what question is...

    Hello

There is a reason, that I was frustrated by the design of web sites over the years because of various browser issues.  So I hope someone can help me with this.

I use CC of Muse.  I am re-doing a Web site for the customer.  I do most of the design on my Alienware home computer, and until today, I had no problem with Chrome, IE or FF on this computer.

You can see the site live at:

    http://hissign.com/newdevelopment/index.html

When I go to the Office of the client to work, his computer is obviously different from mine.  It's a Dell XPS.  So, I saw the site above on his computer.  So far, in FF and Chrome, it just seems like it should.  Video playback and button works brilliant.  Here are 2 screenshots in each of these browsers from the computer:

    firefox.jpg

    chrome.jpg

But when I looked in Internet Explorer, the button on the side, it's weird looking - text is not where it should be.  In addition, the video does not load and I get the message "browser does not support.  I put the IE version on the screenshot below:

    ie.jpg

Keep in mind when I look at this site on my Alienware with IE I do not get this weird problem you see above.  It works exactly as it should.

So any help is appreciated.  Is that its Internet Explorer browser settings?  There is a glitch of Muse (I don't see how it can be if the site works on my Alienware IE)?  Could the cache of the browser IE need clean?

    Please notify.

    Thank you.

the first thing I tried: played fine.

  • Questions of background color in Internet Explore 7, 8 and 9

    Hello

Im having trouble working the reasons why the bottom under the body of the text on this Web page:

    http://www.thechapelstudios.co.UK/chNEWtestimonials.html

makes its appearance as white in internet explore, but as transparent in Safari and Chrome. I need to be transparent in internet explore, can anyone help?

    Thank you

    James

I don't know, but I'm guessing that IE does not like the combination of png transparent/Iframe. Have you tested to see what is happening without the Ifame. ?

If the page displays ok in Internet Explorer after removing the IFrame you will need to start looking for a solution or think of a different way to build the page.
