Internet Explorer attempts to access localhost:4664

My Internet Explorer open recently opened by itself when I start my computer...
He is looking for a place called "localhost:4664". Why does do that?
Does this mean that my computer is infected with a virus or Spyware?
I use the latest AVG Free antivirus and it seems don't detect any infection...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help...

Hello!

Thanks for the tips!  I solved a problem very aggavaiting in the first test.

The culprit was Google Desktop. Island problem stopped just after the first step offers: to delete all the startup items. I then reduced to Google Desktop.
I tried to remove some of the options of Google, because I thought that my computer was slowing down, between Google indexing and indexing of Microsoft functions...

I hope only I can repay by a helping hand to someone else in the future, then still thakns for your solid advice,.

  • How to uninstall an unwanted program from poping up when I go on Internet Explorer or Firefox?

Installed fast by mistake, now my computer turns off on its own, and when I log in Firefox or Internet Explorer I have access the site fast I want.  How do we uninstall the fast as I can't see it on the list of the programs on my computer?

    Hi, Noma,

    Have you withdrawn fast already?
You find its removal instructions in the official website of fast toolbar here: http://tuvaro.com/about/help. If you don't see it on the list of programs, it could be that you need to remove the browser extensions and then reset your homepage as default search engine. Please note that it can be named under another title.
Another thing to do is scan your computer with antimalware tool. Not all detect and remove toolbars as fast, but it is and you can also try the cleaner ADW.

    Hello

    I use V14.0.1

I had simliar problems both at home and at work while using Firefox. IE and chrome works very well in these two places.

While I am at home, and not using any proxy, it worked after disbaling spdy i.e. network.http.spdy.enabled set to false.

However, when I'm at work (by browsing through a proxy, Ironport in this case) and it does not work. I noticed that it is not only the keyword google search or google sites, but none of the https / ssl working site. He invites me repeatedly for authentication of the proxy, and even if I type my proxy username and password, it does not work.

I have been with older versions of firefox for a while and have not had this kind of problem before.

    Any idea?
