Yes, Microsoft has never created a Service Pack 4 which would have not only included IE8, but also all of the Windows updates released since the SP3. Be prepaired to install a long long list of updates and WGA validation.

  • Issue of BC in Internet Explorer on Windows 7, edit mode, any item click on the option?

    Hello

Hope someone can help with this question of the link edit mode. British Colombia with site downloaded from Muse, in edit mode, we can click on in the menus to reach pages to edit, but on a page with the text and linked images, there is only an option of editing, not an option to click when you move text or picture. When clicking on the image or the text itself, it only allows editing of this element, it crosses to the subpage. We have someone with a Mac which, with the same process, gets the click option and so can go to this subpage for editing. These specific subpages are not accessible from a menu, only those elements of the linked page. Is there another browser that would work (we tried Chrome as well)? Or y at - it a setting for users and administrators who must change (odd is works great on Mac so)? It is defined to allow editing in the browser. Is this a known issue? We tried it on several different machines of Windows because the client uses Windows PC.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

If all browsers on windows PC clients encounter the problem it seems that there is something external to block it (wrongly) as a malware scanner / anti virus, a strategy the company active directory or something in that sense. If you are allowed to connect to an external (to the client) PC to their network and test to see if you are able to do the editing, if you are able to do, it seems that there is some software or politics, that client computers have on them and you will need to talk to service companies. If you are not able to do, then there is a sort of proxy / firewall / malware on the level router that is blocking the edit, once again a conversation with the COMPUTER of the customer service is what you need to do.

    Hello

1 did you change on your computer before this sisue?

    2. are you using the cable or wireless Internet connection?

    3. are you using Internet Explorer? If Yes, what version of IE are you using? Find your version of Internet Explorer you are using http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Find-out-which-version-of-Internet-Explorer-youre-using

You can start Internet Explorer in no Add-ons mode and check.

    a. click on start.

    b. in the search type Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

If the problem stops, an add-on is causing the problem. To identify what is the cause, you can start internet Explorer normally, disable all modules and activate each module one by one and test to identify the problematic add-on.

    Hello

    1. you are using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?

Step 1: start Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode
    1. to start Internet Explorer in mode "no"add-on", click Start, point to programs, point to Accessories, point to system tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

  • WHY my internet explore Windows keep crash

I constantly get this problem of windows internet expolrer knows a failure and closure. I paid for this service, help me or I'll go somewhere else.

I have already provided this information:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-AU?p=1

Method 3: Run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode

Add-on Internet Explorer, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide a better browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer. To determine if the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and then type Internet Explorer in the box to start the search.
    2. Click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without Add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
    3. Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If problems still occur, try Method 4.

If no error occurs, the problem is caused by one of the Add-ons that typically load with Internet Explorer. In this case, use one of the following options.

    Option 1: Reset Internet Explorer

Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will disable also any add-ons, plug-ins or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is fast, it also means that, if you want to use one of these modules in the future, they must be reinstalled. To reset Internet Explorer settings, use method 4.

Option 2: Use the add-on management tool to determine which add-on is causing the problem

Use the tool of management of Add-ons in Internet Explorer to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors. To do this, follow these steps:

    Internet Explore 7

    1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
    2. Click Tools, point to manage add-ons and then click Enable or disable add-ons.
    3. In the box display, select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click on disable under settings.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer 7.
    7. If the problems do not occur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

    Internet explore 8

    1. Open Internet Explorer 8.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.
    3. In the drop-down view menu, select all add-ons to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click disable in the information window.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer.
    7. If the problems do not recur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

Try to use the System File Checker to scan your operating system for missing/corrupt files, perform the following steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. in the area of results, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be asked to type the password for an administrator account. If you are the administrator or type the administrator password, click on continue. Then click on continue.
    3. at the command prompt, type Sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.

The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista CD.

Method 1: Set Clear cached data in Internet Explorer method 2: reset the security settings for Internet Explorer method 3: run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode

  • Default behavior of Sync Center W7. In offline mode, by default Explorer view shows no change in readers network or Shares.__Complete synchronized synchronized data approach.

    Hi all.

A senior technician, I find myself to join my users in complete confoundment on Windows 7 next / number of Sync Center: I wonder if anyone can shed light on the way to return to the normal operation?

    Example of previous behavior:
Set up: Windows XP pro client is network drives mapped to shares on a Windows Server 2003 System.
Expectation of behavior: if I put one of these network drives to be available offline, the XP Client conscientiously synchronize computer.  When I'm offline in any other circumstances, network readers are missing(I think), but the 'sync 'd' drive is ready and waiting (in offline mode).  This behavior is transparent and users do not really notice & redirected folders still work = Perfection.

Windows 7 / end of Sync Center:
Exactly the same scenario as above but now replace the XP machine for a machine W7Pro, synchronize the network drive and disconnect.

We find the following points of the dreadful functionality in offline mode.

    Offline after hibernation
    (1) explore accidentally continues to show synchronization would lead to the letter and the content and allows you to continue to access and modify the content.  Perfect.

Offline after a shutdown of power supply (return trip) to the top:
    (1) explore displays you all network drives which are more connected but DO NOT show you the player you synchronized to always be available (!)
    (2) If you access the network box in Explorer, it shows you the machines on the network you are now attached to, but not the server that synchronization would be against. = The synchronization would be given so seems missing / in any case available.

What does that mean? -That the regular users have not at all, after a reboot, go to their synchronization would have given via standard methods they use in the office.

    Work around dismal short-term:

Leaving the previous instance of the Explorer (showing the 'network' and not the (server cached connection) you now need to) go to the Sync Center, click on files offline, make a right click of the share/server you previously synchronized and choose Browse the share name (\\servername))-Voila! -a new instance of the browser is displayed, just like the last one, but it has now added the missing cache server and sharing.

What on Earth is this?  He has confused a number of users and a full u-turn in fluid features demonstrated by XP and Synchronization Manager.

Anyone can shed light on how Sync Center can be modified to illustrate the offline feature, that we have enjoyed for the past 7 years with XP? - Or Sync Center is now the 'window' buried and not familiar through which all users should get their data synchronized (poor).

    I hope that your
