Hi remtt,

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft Community. It seems that the performance of Internet Explorer is slow.

In addition to answering these questions that would help us provide a better solution:

1. what version of Internet Explorer you are using?

2 have had any changes made to the computer before the question?

Try these methods and check:

Method 1:

Run the performance of Internet Explorer and check:

If your computer has problems with Windows Internet Explorer 8 web browsing, try to run the troubleshooting Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common issues, such as whether you have enough space on your hard drive to store temporary Internet files.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Internet-Explorer-performance-Troubleshooter

Method 2:

If you use Internet Explorer 9 visit this link and check.

You experience slow performance in Internet Explorer 9

Method 3:

Try the steps mentioned in this link if you are using Internet Explorer 8 or 9 and check:

I just started to have "Secure connection failed" on trying to connect to a financial site that has always worked before, so I decided to see if the same problem exists by using Internet Explorer. I finished Firefox, then started to IE, which came up OK with my blank home page. But when I entered the URL for the login page of the Web site, instead of coming in the window of IE, a Firefox window starts automatically, and the page you requested is here instead. So, basically, I'm unable to use IE for anything whatsoever.

In the Windows search bar, type internet, and then select Internet Options.

On the top row, select programs.

  • Internet Explorer 9 "About Internet Explorer" deleted, and pages Web only partially open.

I bought a new laptop of Lenovo G580 64 bit Window 7 early September.  I had injury problems with messages saying that Internet Explorer "stopped working".  I uninstalled McAfee security and Google Chrome, to make Internet Explorer my default.  So that I can install it with Norton 360, I've already subscribed to on my Lenovo Y530, covered with no cost extra.  Lenovo and Norton have run diagnostic and show my computer working properly.   I don't know whether or not these changes are related to my problem of IE 9.  I can access is no longer my email on Aol, it allows me to authentication but only displays a white screen when I try to sign it goes into a loop.  I wrote down the updated version # etc. before when it was still showing, if any.  I tried to obtain the support of Lennovo, but were not able to get any phone number and online support is automated without help.  I bought my computer directly from Lennovo so I can't call Microsoft support directly.  As for now, I'll have to keep checking my email on my old computer, for any suggestions you may have.  Don't you think that IE 9 uninstalling and reinstalling would be useful? I'm out of ideas.

    For more help, hope

This problem may be related to Norton Antivirus when one or more browsers are installed.

You have McAfee and Norton installed at the same time?

You can uninstall Norton, check the browser works, and then reinstall Norton. Otherwise, there is a solution here

  • Tracks of Internet Explore slow during the farmville game.

How can I improve my speed during the game farmville.

Play at 3 in the morning maybe... :)

There isn't really anything you can do to improve your speed.  The issue isn't with you or your PC, with Farmville.  They need improve the performance of their servers\connections with FB.  The lag on this game is the main reason that I stopped playing.  It's not just you.

You can try a clean boot if you want, but I doubt that this will help with Farmville.

Windows 7 was not my idea, but it still rocks! Soli Deo Gloria!

  • Firewall Windows disable the Internet Explorer loads Up after slow start after the installation of Windows updates

Hello, (this the mystery of on and Off and back on Windows Firewall with slow loading of programs like Internet Explorer as this all is pass it on firewall, disable the firewall, the firewall, it occurs only during starts, after he fine / but very annoying on reboots whom he accuses of my computer down) / listed below is the cause of it , and when she first started, you have a solution?

I recently installed the last 16 (High Profile) updates to security, for most security updates and updates from net framework as well as the removal of malware for windows XP tool.

After installing these updates, now my Windows Firewall turns off during 'Boot Up' on all restarts. If I try to load Internet Explorer, it will also not load up to minutes serveral / while this happens... That's fine, then finally my firewall itself loads Up quickly turns to Internet Explorer and back on during this time around the same time.

After these updates these things are happening on my computer now, it's as if there is a process running, but nothing run any virus, Trojan or worm etc just these updates caused this problem. I don't know if it updates is corrupt or not, but have tried different things as system file checker /scan etc with no luck.

    (1) computer boots to the top and seems to Load Up Fine ' until the ' or 'Look at this' but isn't, something is running in the background or process "wing unstalled" is obviously "unhooked", etc..

    2) try to load Internet Explorer last minutes and is very slow to load up, even if I 'don't load Internet Explorer' must still a long while that as in the firewall turn off for awhile some several «minutes» (way too long), before "auto turn on automatically return.

    (3) turns firewall Windows itself on "finally" as Internet Explorer finally loads upwards as well the two Internet Explorer is able to load 'definitely' and the firewall is on "finally" as many minutes later as listed above, at the same time.

This could be the cause? Only, it has begun to 'After' I ran windows update and installed the 'most recently high security updates for windows XP' there were 16 listed mainly security updates and updates of net framework as well as the software removal tool windows malware.

That's all that is changed on my system, I tried many things, nothing seems to fix this problem with my computer. I know for a fact that these updates are the cause, but am not sure that you caused it? Or how do to solve this problem, any sugguestions would be appreciated.

Please answer questions following diagnosis by number in your very next answer (no need to quote this post):

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

2 a Norton or McAfee application already installed on the computer?

    3. do you have a Norton or McAfee free trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).

    4. you are using IE6, IE7 or IE8?

    5. have you ALREADY had the opportunity to do a Repair Installation of Windows XP for some reason any?

  • Fast internet, slow Web pages, is that network settings or router apple

I have not changed the settings from anywhere in quite some time, but I suddenly loads of slow Web page. It was suggested to add some dns (8.8.8.8, 6.6.6.6) to my network settings, but that did not help - can made things slower.

But I'm having the same problem on my ipad WiFi, blu - ray via wifi - so can I assume that I need to change the settings in my extreme? Are there settings DNS from the router as opposed to simply a device? If so, what are the differences.

Once again, my wifi seems strong, my bandwidth speed look ok, but I just recently in the past few days affected by the slowdown on Web pages (in safari and firefox and chrome)

I stumble upon a page from apple for the "optimal settings for routers", but honestly, few things on their page seemed to jibe with extreme settings I have (and Yes, I have all the updates on the firmware of the router about a month ago)

'Internet Fast, slow Web pages' usually indicate DNS problems. You use the Google DNS servers, may or may not, help depending on where you are.

To get a better idea on what DNS servers are going to provide the best performance, I suggest that you try an app like namebench. This application will literally be hundreds of test servers and report their respective performance. You can then decide to use one of their suggestions to see if that will help.

  • When you click the back button in Internet Explorer, I went back to the same page, I am already on. Problem seen in Google search engine.

Problem seen in Google search engine.

I used Google for years without problems - I work from home as a freelance journalist.  But this last few days, if I search for something on Google from IE and click on a result, I can get the page I want upward.  But then, if I want to go back to the same Google search page to check the other results, I can't go back by clicking on the button 'back' at the top left, as I always did.  If I click it, it just keeps returning me to the page I'm already.  I find no mention anywhere using this problem or any means to remedy.  If I have the cursor hover over the arrow bak, the address of the current page appears rather than the original Google search page, so there is obviously something wrong.

    Thank you

I am constantly see (but not always) Internet Explorer can not display the webpage when I open Internet Explorer, and he tries to go to my home page which is Facebook. Then I click on any site in my favorites and it goes straight to him. In fact, after I go to other sites, I just click on the button of my Facebook in my bookmarks bar and it will then open it right to the top! So there is nothing wrong with my internet connection and I know that there is nothing wrong with Facebook.

  • 13 Firefox SLOW to load pages

just updated to 13.0 Firefox on my mac last night (without plugins in order to not blame them!) ... the man his SLOW SLOW SLOW. Slow loading pages, slow to load and slow to open java (even more then before!) I have an i5 CPU and 8 GB of ram 1333 Mhz in my macbook pro... What is happening... seems that each new version is slower and slower!

P.S. I switched to chrome because of it... lightning quick in comparison, it works!

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
