  Hi all, I'm having a problem using the Simulator.

  Today, I was testing my app on the Simulator and everything was fine, until the sudenly the internet connection no longer works

  I'm using Eclipse and run the 8520 with 5.0.0 sdk, my mds is 7.0 JDE

  I can connect to MDS thrugh a normal browser to localhost: 8080 and seems to works, but when I use the Simulator he has no connection at all, even when I start to say that there are no connectivity bb browser.

  Maybe your Mobile network is disabled, go to connection to manage in your Simulator and check it out.

  10 BlackBerry Simulator does not support connections via a proxy server.  This looks like what you see.

  PS: I don't know the State/quality virtual GPRS network, but effective the Simulator internet speed.

  You can simulate a low network coverage by clicking the simulation menu and selecting network properties.

  There is no support for limiting the connection (speed).

  I'm trying to get the Playbook Simulator running to repackage an app, but I'm unable to get the Simulator to connect to the internet.  The browser refuses to connect and just displays a message indicating:

  Error
  A network error has occurred.
  Please try again later.

  I tried some things, like change network card settings in VMware default (NAT) to Bridged and then restarting the virtual machine, but that did nothing. I tried to remove the virtual computer's network card, and then by adding a new.  I disabled the Norton Internet Security firewall and intrusion prevention.  I have disabled the Windows Firewall.  None of this solves the problem.

  I use a Windows 7 laptop connected to a wireless network.  No VPN or proxy is in use.  Windows 7 network adapters screen shows two cards VMware, vmnet1 and vmnet8, both connected to an 'unidentified network'.  I tried to fill these my PC wireless cards, but the VMware adapter did not allow that and threw an error.

  Any suggestions?

  Some basics: Verify there is an IP address on vmnet8. Verify that you can ping your host operating system.

  If it still does not work, cut the developer mode (on-> them security), then try again the browser. Yes, I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it worked for me.

  You can re - switch to developer mode, once you have turned it off and it seems fine. You don't quite know why this is happening, but it might be useful to take a VM snapshot once you've cracked.

  I try to connect the simulator of the internet inside the proxy server or firewall. I installed MDS and it running when I run my code on the Simulator.   It can be downloaded separately. And also it is included in JDE 4.0.2

• BB Tower Simulator does not connect to internet through MDS Simulator

  Hello

  I looked at some similar threads for a similar problem, but the solution doesn't seem to work for BB tour Simulator that I am using.

  I downloaded and installed the following

  BlackBerry_Simulators_4.7.1.40_9630_Verizon.exe

  and

  BlackBerry_Email_MDS_4.1.2.17.exe

  I start the MDS Server and then the Simulator.

  The SDM startup shows all errors in the console.

  The Simulator also starts well and shows that I'm on a simulated Fledge "network with GPRS.

  When I try to go to an external site like "Google.com", through the browser, an error message appears that says "Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service"

  What Miss me? Should I change some parameters of the it strategy?

  The pointers will be greatly appreciated.

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything properly and things worked well... My apologies for the noise.
