• Connection of IOM database error

  Hi all

  I get the error in the log below the files all the time. Awhile back DB DEV_OIM password, DEV_MDS has expired and we had to change the password in DB and I've updated passwords in the data sources in weblogic...

  IOM is up and running but throws under error when I try to create a disconnected resource, it seems somwhere the old password is still there.

  I don't know how to find out what datasource or configuration update needed for this... Any ideas?

  I am faced with a particular problem. Whenever I try to connect to IOM by using the chrome browser, it gets always redirected to login page message authentication. I put in the correct credentials, but still this problem. Connection works fine with IE 9.

  I installed the Oracle 11 g server and I use forms 6i oracle as front end. while I tried to connect my application to 11g I get the message name to username/password invalid connection refused
  After I get my application open but while I am trying to open each form in an application, I get this message. Is any particular setting in oracle 11g.

  By default, Oracle 11g passwords are case-sensitive: make sure you use the correct case of password.

• Developer SQL 4.1.1 connect returns "invalid connection string format.

  You say you have no non-alphabetic characters, but see this previous discussion (a hyphen was the problem) and see if any of Jeff's suggestions work for you: connection error after upgrade to 4.1

  I also read another post (non - developer SQL) where a symbol (@) in the password was a problem, but that may not apply to your case.

  Let's not your syntax.

  When you say 'identified by values' you tell Oracle 'this is not the password, but it is a salted and hashed password.

  Do not use 'values '.

  Technically,-is not a password valid, so I'll use it valid to demonstrate:

  In 12.1.0.2, it will not allow you to use '-' because this isn't a valid hash value, so I can't prove that it works, but you get the idea

• Invalid connection with the CytoScape plugin

  I am trying to connect to my server Oracle 11.2 by CytoScape 2.6.3 instance but I get the error ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. I know that my credentials are correct and I have also tried SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON setting to FALSE, but this isn't the problem.
  
  By checking the dba_audit_session table, I see that every attempt is a recording that says:
  
  OS_USERNAME: ssundara

  that seems pretty strange to me... Of course, when I connect through SqlDeveloper using the same credentials, username and os_username fileds are filled in correctly.

  A revised version of the Cytoscape plugin (dated April 23, 2013) is now available for download on OTN.

  The only file that has been changed to solve the problem of invalid connection is oraclerdf.jar.

  To solve the problem of invalid connection, just download the zip file, extract files from it and find the new file oraclerdf.jar under JAR subfolder, then replace the old oraclerdf.jar with the new.

  I have to make a few improvements to an existing base of ADF project, so I got the source code of the project

  But when I am trying to set up a connection to database on my Application's resources > connections-> New Connection-> database
  I encounter error below.
  

  oracle.adf.rc.exception.CatalogException: Invalid connections.xml.

  I wanted to change the connections ADFBC also by right click on the project, and then selecting Properties.
  When I try to add a database connection, nothing happens. By clicking the button OK does nothing?

  I think you can try to create the new connection after removing 'connections.xml' corresponding to your environment, check the location as below:

  Try to connect to the database via SQLPlus target using the tnsnames.ora entry: sqlplus bob@remote.

  If the target db is 11g, then breaking the password may be the matter. Try placiing the password in quotes when you create the database link.

  I tried to install Oracle Workflow 2.6.4.0.0 to work with the Warehouse Builder, but when I enter the wizard of Configuration of Warehouse and type the data that it requires, it generates an error.
