  • questions about iOS 10 SMS and iMessage notification

    Hi all

Having some problems with the SMS and iMessage notification since the upgrade to iOS 10. The problem is that sometimes there is no noise or vibration or anything like that when I get a message. I will just have to pick up the phone and there is a banner on the lock screen. And until someone asks, it isn't that I was away from the phone, or I didn't hear it go off... there was just no notification. It's as if the phone was in DND (which it was not).

The other thing is, I NEVER receive a notification when I am sent an iMessage from a sender that is the only email address (like an iPad wifi only). In this situation, my phone never plays a sound never vibrates... you open the lock screen, but there's a new banner of message sitting there... as I said before - just as the phone is in DND... which is not.

This problem happens on mine and my wife's phone. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an update. I think I can find a solution to the problem. I used to have my "send and receive" in the messages app implemented with my phone number and checked e-mail address. I have deselected the e-mail address and have now received a notifcation for every message I've received so far. The sample size is a bit small at the moment but before this change, it is 50-50 at best.

  • iMessage how to block people? iPad iOS Mini3 10.

Hey everybody! I have a small question, I received a message from a person I do not know and I would block them, I don't really know how well. Again, I am on iOS 10.0.2 and my device is an iPad Mini 3. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    -John

Normally these are the settings < iMessage > blocked. Then you choose a person in your contacts to block. The problem with this is how can you put an unknown person in your Contacts?

    The user guide.

"Blocking unwanted messages. To block messages and some FaceTime calls, go to settings > Messages > blocked. For more information, see the Apple Support article block and contacts phone numbers or filter the messages on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. »

  • iMessage/Facetime activation on iOS 10 bug

    Hello

The bug appeared after the first intentional reboot after iOS 10 updated, my iPhone 5 has been disconnected for a few hours. When it started I started to receive petitions of iM/FT on reboot or a random time after even if iM/FT completely!

I did not move my SIM card. If I refuse to activate iM I can't see my phone number in the Contacts section.

The same bug persists on the iPhone of my 5s wife while his phone has never been disconnected except 10.0.2 update.

    Hi Valsh,

Here is how to fix iMessage / FaceTime activation do not question.

Before you begin, you'll need sort these things:

    • Make sure that in the phone application, you got your registered number. On top of "Contacts", you should see your registered number (My Number :). If not, you will need to go to settings → → my phone number and enter your number.
    • Make sure that the Date and time (in general) are correct. Set to "Set automatically" to ensure that the time zone is correct and the iPhone is at the right time.
    • Also make sure you have a working network. Problems of Wi - fi can cause iMessage activation problems therefore have active cell.
For some users, the message for activation goes out as an international SMS. Make sure that your carrier allows these and you have a sufficient amount to send them.

    1. contact your operator

First of all, make sure that your carrier supports iMessage or not. Contact the support team of carrier and check any condition limiting on your iMessage, blocks or text filters.

    2. airplane mode

As strange as it sounds, maybe you should try this method if nothing else works. We found the airplane mode activation mode in one of the discussions. It sounds simple, and if it is correct, it would be nice, right?

    Here's how it works:

Step #1. Get off at scroll → settings touch Messages and turn offiMessage (also turn off FaceTime)

Step #2. Turn on airplane mode. WiFi will be disabled automatically.

    Step #3: Turn ON Wifi.

Step #4. Return to Messages and ignition iMessage.

Step #5. You will be prompted for your Apple ID if you have not yet added it. (otherwise, you get no notification)

Step #6. Now, go back to the settings and disable airplane mode.

Step #7. For the most part, you will see a notification that says "your carrier may charge for SMS" - press OK

Step #8. If this is not the case, go to Messages, disable iMessage and then turn on again.

Step #9. In a few moments, iMessage should be enabled.

Step #10. You will see a greyed number and e-mail ID. A little later, the number should be checked, and that's all.

    3 Apple ID disconnect, connect

Sometimes, you just need to logout of your identifier Apple and then sign in again.

Step #1. Under Settings → Message, scroll up to where it says 'Send and receive'and tap on it.

Step #2. Type on the Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

Step #3. Now turn off iMessage.

Step #4. Wait for a while (toggle Wifi) and then turn on the iMessage.

Step #5. Enter the details of your Apple ID now and try to reactivate iMessage

    4. set or restore

If things do not work, you must first reset the settings of your location, then the iPhone. Reset is just a force so restart your data stays secure. After the reset, you will just connect with your Apple and implementing iMessage like new.

If this fails, you may need to restore the iPhone as new or from a backup.

    Hope this helps,

    See you soon.

  • iMessage with iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra

Before upgrading to iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, iMessages sent from my iPhone seems also in the application iMessages on my MacBook Pro and my iPad 2 Air - and the same for all three devices.

It worked very well in my opinion.  When I'm at my laptop, it is very convenient type of responses on the keyboard.

However, after the upgrades, this connection has stopped.  Each unit is not to see the iMessages of others, although all three devices are signed on the same iCloud account.

What is a reduction in function?  Or am I missing something?  I tried settings and preferences.

    Hello

Sign of iMessages (the Apple ID used) on all devices

Drag the item in Messages app from green to white (close the application) on the iPhone.

Quit the application on other devices.

On the iPhone, open the application again.

Wait for the number to check.

While what happens opened the app on the Mac and the sign of return on account of iMessage.

Once the iPhone number checked send an iMessages specifically to your Apple ID (enter it manually).

If it works, add the Apple ID in Send and Receive on the iPhone version.

Accept the UPS op on the Mac.

(repeat for other signature devices in)

Set the item "send as SMS.

Check the iPhone joins the same LAN in the Mac WiFi settings is on

Reset the transmission of text on the iPhone which will cause the Code number must appear on the Mac to put on the iPhone.

    Repeat for other devices.

    Basically, try a reset.

  • Extras IMessage in IOS 10

Hi all. I just upgraded to IOS 10 and hate the new iMessage extras. Balloons, stickers... Is it possible to disable the part of the user interface? Just like the keyboard of predictive text?

Not at the moment, no. And others are free to send you stickers and these too.

  • IMessage IOS 10 Force to send SMS

The IOS 10, you can is more keep your iMessage on hold and get a screen that appears and says "Send as a text Message" now a bubble appears with an exclamation mark, thumbs up/down, etc.

When I'm in and out of service that may take several minutes for an iMessage figure out it cannot be sent. It's extremely annoying when I'm in poor service areas, which, once a trip can be often. I know that you can disable iMessage in settings, but I don't want to go back and forth constantly, I just want to be able to quickly get my message as a text message so that a single message... so annoying that this option has been removed.

When I'm on the bad service, the blue bar at the top will remain at 80% for 5-10 minutes or more. Please Apple stop remove features...

I urgently need this feature too. When you need to send an urgent message, in case of accident, I can't wait 10 minutes see iMessage has not sent the message. This often occurs if the receiver is in another country at the moment and has disabled the data roaming. If I change iMessage in preferences, then I can send a SMS but on all my iOS devices and all my Macs come alerts that say, that a new device has joined iMessage. I completely disabled Messages on the Mac, but this Message is delivered with a regular alert box. How can I pass this warnings completely.

  • iOS 10 - iMessage pictures not save on film

Hello world! Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I have an iPhone running iOS 10.0.1 6s and none of the pictures I take with the camera inside iMessage register on film.

This is normal behavior for the iMessage camera?

I take with the camera full of photos application record very well. I tried to restart, and tips on the web on sharing the pictures of the miniature inside camera without success.

    Thank you once again.

    Hi, k8jb76!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post I see that you have questions about how the camera in the works of app Messages feature, and how you can save the photos take you there. I like to send photos to my friends and my family, and have a copy for me is great. I'd be happy to help you!

When you use the camera function in the Messages, the pictures you take are not automatically saved to your Photos app. You do not have the ability to save, though - just tap on the photo after you send it, then press the share in the lower-left corner of the screen. In the share menu, click on Save Image. It will download the image in your film or pictures (if use you iCloud photo library).

  • IMessage on ios 10

    Hello world.

After upgrading ios 10, I use very correct imessage.

But I remove the sim card and put it in iphone afterthat.

Now, I can not active imassage and facetime when using the phone number.

    Please help me.

If your phone number is always the same, have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again? you lose no data by doing this.
