iPad 1/2 fix for slow performance (finally!)

After several years of desperately poor performance of my iPad 2 and original iPad, I finally understand how to behave reasonably well again.

Before making this "correction" (you don't like it!), even my iPad menus have been slow to react.  After the correction, it rolls again.

It turns out that native background apps, including Mail, can be incredibly hard on the performance of the iPad.  You wouldn't think that when the mail was not the app it would affect anything - but it makes.

If you have a lot of emails (read or unread, is not serious), or have a large calendar and your menus are often jerky and the iPad seems to freeze every now and again once, for a few seconds, welcome to your 'solution '.

Simply remove your accounts email and calendar of the iPad.  Simply access your e-mail via the web browser instead of using the Mail app can be all that it takes to find correct performance on your tablet.

For maximum performance, you can continue, stripping of the iPad to each native function, you can: turn off notifications, set the background picture to black, disable automatic updates, all and in circles who does something.

This explains why it's being a zero factory makes the iPad to work well again.  When we reset the iPad, there is no account e-mail attached to the Tablet, and it rolls.  We add our email account, and after a few moments, the Tablet starts download and return of the tablet to poverty once more.

I was ready to throw both my iPad 1 and 2 by the window, but they are now in full service.

Hope this helps someone out there.

Your method of mail is a bit extreme, you may want to try all of my own below the solutions in the futture.

All my old iPads and older iPads I started day/updated are ongoing enforcement just peachy keen on the last iOS without resorting to NOT use and delete content in the Mail application native iOS.

In addition, with the native mail app, if you use iMAP, mail actually remains on the mail server. It is not, in fact, get downloaded or stored on an iDevice, himself.

When you create new folders in iOS App Mail, you, in fact, create folders in your e-mail/s account on the servers of e-mail service. Not on your iDevice.

The only reason that the Mail app could be the cause of performance problems, it is that you have set mail to automatically extract the mail at a time interval that may be too short and the iDevice is constantly ping servers of e-mail for short mail a few minutes or less.

I have my Mail application set for manual removal, so my iDevices are not constantly check new email every few minutes or less.

Also Push mail off if mail out Internet ping the mail server permanently, either.

You really don't have to do what you did!

There are other e-mail settings, you need to change.

  • "Bootstrap" framework CS6 - fix for slow start editing

    Hello

    I looked around for a while now to try to locate the update for the extreme delay in Dreamweaver CS6 when editing any site that uses the bootstrap information.

    I have seen a lot of discussions, workarounds, etc. but were not able to locate the update for this problem which, like other users, quite rightly say, make unusable Dreamweaver using the bootstrap information which is of course the norm these days.

    Workarounds are not an acceptable solution.

    My version of CS6 (version 12.0 build 5861) tells me that there is no update is available, which clearly cannot be the case.

    Please for the benefit of myself and other long-time Dreamweaver users, can you please give a link to download the fix to solve this serious problem?

    I had to change most of my sites in Microsoft Expression Web, which is now free and obviously not too good, did a bit of mockery of the cost of Dreamweaver when this problem is taken into account.

    CS6 12.0 is old software.  He received no updates for a long time.  It is no longer sold or supported by Adobe.

    Try in parentheses.  It's a great code editor & Smokin ' quickly with Bootstrap files.  I keep the two open apps and go back & statements between them.

  • Very slow performance with Windows 7 on i7 Quad

    I bought my wife a Lenovo E530 i7 quad with screen 1600 x 900 and running Win 7 in September 2012. Previously, she had an Asus Core 2 Duo also with Win 7. The laptop is used to picture (scanning, editing, cataloging) work, family, the navigation and email history.

    The E530 was desperately slow at the beginning. Not better, not faster than the Asus. Performance seems to vary from slow to excruciatingly slow.

    Features include:

    -very slow to open programs

    -slow to react to the choice of menus and clicks

    -slow to react to the touchpad

    -scrolling is not smooth, vibrates, much worse than Asus

    -often distorts the sound and video, audio stutters

    -IE9 make often video has properly - green band across the bottom with the rest of the colors shifted upward - change the video quality will fix it sometimes

    -very slow internet response compared to the other machines on the same network of navigation.

    However, startup speed seems to be OK.

    I spent weeks (months?) through the forums, verification of updates, deletion and restoration of various programs and drivers looking for driver clashes. I tried the clean boot with only Windows drivers and various other combinations, and it made no difference.

    For a long time wifi would be max 54 Mbps but somewhere through the process he begins to operate at up to 300Mbps.

    Nothing seems to stand out in reports on health of the system and the event viewer. Windows experience scores seem to be everything I expected from my older i7.

    Resources and performance monitor reports a problem with the hard drive:

    The average disk queue length = Max 16 = 106

    %Idle = 0

    Disk read/s Ave = 0.093 Max = 3

    Disk sec/Transfer Ave = 0,067 Max = 1

    Disk s/write = 0.022 Ave

    Even when the computer runs slower the CPU usage, and memory usage is not mounted and ceiling ever.

    SFC report any breach of integrity.

    FixIt MS - slow performance does not detect any problems.

    The disk check is not a problem any.

    It's so frustrating that my wife threatens to throw it in the trash and buy a Mac (the horrors :-)).

    Any ideas on what I might have missed or what I should look at?

  • iPad Pro 9.7 "slow performance on wifi

    Hi all - looking for Apple's brain trust land on this one.

    I recently bought the new Pro peripheral 9.7 "iPad (wifi and cellular) and have noticed a lot of slow performance when you use it on a wifi network.

    I also have an iPhone 6s so decided to compare the two head to head, both on the same wifi network. Going to the same sites, YouTube, download my diary, it's okay - 6 bulbs just with speed so that the iPad Pro chugs and takes significantly longer to download exactly the same content. The old iPad Air that I used to use never had this problem. The problem doesn't seem to be the same thing with WiFi cell, just the one. It connects to the wifi network is fast blisteringply so I exclude the network being the issue. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

    I must say im very disappointed iPad pro account $ 1300 or so I paid for it. I am strongly considering to return.

    Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by pressing the sleep/wake and Home buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with the Apple logo and then release the buttons?

    As Introudce AGAL and Stage3D Adobe - Pixel Bender every time show poor performance. My friend asked me - why. There app Pixel Bender based for distortion of the image and the last Flash Player with slow PB book. Exactly - the road to hell. During the audit of this issue, I found that all my pixel bender app show also the poor performance. Buch was earlier. Half or year ago.

    Will be no longer supported this fixed or Pixel Bender?

    Unfortunately, it was necessary from a security point of view.  We have seen a number of documents on Just-In-Time compilers come out to the other products that we concluded last year were relevant to the JIT PixelBender.  Rather than wait until an emergency situation to do something, we have chosen to take measures to ensure that your customers and other end-users are protected.

    We conducted a thorough analysis and concluded that mitigation measures needed to defend themselves against this emerging class of attacks would affect performance nearly as evil as disable the JIT, while possible attack surface.  We have also determined that the chemistry and Stage3D are not vulnerable to these classes of attack, that is why we are recommending the migration of your content to take advantage of them.

    While we would have really liked before communicating changes, we inherently describe the attack vector potental publicly without a delivery solution.  We experimented with communication of security changes in the past and attacks on these features were quickly developed and deployed by bad actors.

    Backward compatibility is always a main technical objective, but the fact is that in the face of the Internet threat landscape has changed considerably over the last decade, and adapting to it frequently requires to choose among a number of terrible options.  While we understand that it is extremely annoying for developers using PixelBender JIT for the performance, we strongly believe that it was the best of the available options.

    Yes, update to the latest version, 9.3.1. Also here are a few general suggestions for problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest you start at the top and down, maybe they'll help...

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

  • High CPU use/Slow Performance after you install the updates of Windows

    I run Vista Business 32-bit.

    After you install many Windows updates in the last few days, I've known very slow performance after the system worked for a while. Resource monitor shows 70-100% CPU usage, even when you run all the apps (that I know of). This makes everyhting grind to a halt, same trip that the mouse jerky movements. I ran several complete system with McAfee anti virus scans and not found problems (using the latest software). The detail showed the so-called ", PID4 NT kernel and system" using 18% avialable CPU capacity, but this process is not always shown to use much more capacity when the slow performance occurs. Nothing else don't use much capacity CPU, I see.

    More recently, the capacity of the CPU became crazy, jumping from zero to 100% usage in a back a suite oscillation. When I shut down and restart, performance improves, but erodes little by little over time.

    Is this a sign of a virus, or is it a problem with the recent Windows updates or some kind of conflict with my software such as McAfee? How do I tell me what to do? Anyone else have this problem with the recent Windows updates?

    McAfee applications (and Norton) are known for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

    1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. now run this triple McAfee fix: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507

    NOTE: Step #2 McAfee fix run the removal tool, you have already downloaded in my step #1 above.

    4 IMPORTANT! => After the reinstallation of the McAfee application (step #3 of the McAfee fix), manually & repeatedly updated the McAfee application, until you get a prompt "no update more".

    5. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

    6. OPTIONAL: For good measure, pen also Internet Explore (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & race that secure it in DEFAULT and modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1]

    7 restart a last time & test.

    It's the dump reporting tool and it runs when some program/process causes an error in the system. Therefore, you should know what that the root of the error and fix it. Since you told us nothing about your computer and its recent history, here is general information on troubleshooting a slow computer:

    Some reasons for the slow pace of the computer:

    6. the user runs an inflated/invasive such as Norton and McAfee antivirus program. Replace it with a better program. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). Avira is also good, but the free version has an unpleasant reminder screen (Google for instructions on how to disable it). The user can also run several real-time antivirus/firewall/security programs.

    7. the user has installed new programs that are processor and/or memory-intensive (Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mathmatica or similar) and does not have the power of the equipment.

    If the hotfix registry PIO only 'glue' (or you have a SATA drive), the drive is probably faulty and needs to be tested.

    Hi, I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit a week ago and for some reason any when I installed this time, it made my PC slow for some reason any. I use a program called "Razer Cortex' for my PC back to what it was before all these problems began to occur. I think some thing in the process systems are realize these questions, but I'm not sure. I would really like to have a fix for this problem to my PC that she had a few weeks back.
