  Good morning guys,

  I upgraded my iPad my ipad air pro this week. I have restored my back upwards on iTunes (which took all night, number one problem).

  Second, my split screen/slide will NOT work. On the few occasions that I got to work, he was an absolute fluke. I use the compatible apps etc (safari/iMessage/email/calendar).

  I have a glass screen protector, but I know that's not the problem because it worked very well before going on and the screen is very sensitive even with the screen protector on.

  Split screen and drag must be programmed in apps.

  These features are not automatically built into iOS 9.

  Most currently updated apps use the function drag on screen, but there are not too many applications that use the full split screen function.

  full screen, reposition and resize the windows of two app so that they

• iPad iOS9 Air split screen does not work

  I have an iPad Air (model A1474) & I can't get the split screen function to work in iOS9.3.1. I turned off the iPad, reset all settings, update all applications and I don't always get the bar of the double line to split the screen. Tried with mail & message/safari.

  There is no split screen or slide on anything whatsoever on the iPad models 2, 3, or 4.

  Drag functions is only on iPad Air and later versions.

  Split screen is only on iPad Pro, 2 Air iPad & iPad Mini 4.

  The contacts app ON my iPad 2 Air, opens for a fraction of a second, then closes.

  Had the same problem.  As seen in another forum solution. It has something to do with the split screen. From the Email, drag right to open the shared contacts. Then drag completely to the left to have only Contacts. It remained open for me. Since then, I can open, use and close Contacts without him closing erratically. Now everything is back to normal.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It's my understanding since update to iOS 10 you were unable to use the keyboard in mode split on your iPad 2 Air. I know that the inability to use the keyboard can surely influence daily use. I'm happy to help you.

  I recommend first reboot your iPad. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Please follow the steps below if necessary.

  1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
  3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

  Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  If the problem persists, another option would be to reset all settings. It takes all the defaults, including passwords and Wi - Fi networks, alerts, notifications, brightness, wallpaper, sounds, etc. Even if no content is lost with this step, it is always a good idea to back up first. If you do not have a backup, you can use the following link to help back up.

  Once you have correctly saved, reset all settings in settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

  An application must support screen spilled in order to make it appear on the right. Pages should be in this area. I have Pages and it appears in screen shared on my iPad 2 Air choices. I can't talk bout the Bible Study 6 app, since I don't have it. You have an iPad 2 Air, correct?

  If you really want to use stylus to take notes or draw you should go for iPad Pro with Apple pencil. Nothing else offers good experience especially for hand writing. If you ok with drawing then only pencil FiftyThree is a good choice on iPad 2 Air (but again, it is much worse in my opinion, then iPad Pro + Apple pencil). FiftyThree is also one of the best (paper) apps for note taking (and it works well with their pencil).

  The keyboards are wide work system and not a dependent application. You can go for any model of the 3rd party like you which is compatible with iPad air 2. Advice covers the Apple Smart keyboard are specific to the Pro (they need specific for Pro iPad connector).

  WhatsApp has not been developed for the iPad. Ask the developers.

  The iPad can't make a phone call because it is not a phone.  But there is a choice of applications such as Skype to make calls over the internet.  The SIM card in an iPad has data only.
