  • iPad, Safari froze and was told that I had to call apple for support assistance.

My iPad Safari froze and was told that I had to call apple for support assistance.  I called and gave the last four digits of my serial number of the iPad.  They wanted me to download app and pay money, but it felt weird, so I hung up. Am I or my systems compromised in any way by calling and giving the serial number or hang up in time that nothing should be affected?

    Do this...

Tap Settings > Safari and then slide down and tap clear history & data website, then reboot your iPad.

The number they gave you is not Apple.

Never give any personal data abroad on the net, including serial numbers.

  • circumvent the Javascript on Safari alert box

I visited a site that prompted a third announcer to activate an alert box Javascript asking me to perform a Flash plug-in download. I tried to close the tab without response to the alert, but the alert is persistent and allow me to select useful on Safari options until he is satisfied. It seems that the only way to avoid it is to close the browser session. But when I run Safari, once again, the alert is displayed again. Is there a way to remove this nuisance?

  • I have an iPad and you'd like to raise my list of bookmarks of Firefox for MAC to my iPad Safari.app; is it possible automatically?

I have a MacBook Pro under OS X 10.5.7 and an iPad running iOS 6.1.3 2.
On MAC, I have Firefox for MAC v 19.0.2 and Safari 6.0.3
The iPad, I have only Safari for iPad. I always use Firefox as my browser for the MacBook, but there is no Firefox app for the iPad.

My Safari bookmarks automatically updated the MacBook to the iPad, but not Firefox for iPad. Is it possible for the auto update from Firefox instead of Safari to the Safari.app iPad? If not, is there an easy way on the MacBook to hold Safari bookmarks up-to-date with bookmarks in Firefox, so that the iPad share my Firefox bookmarks?

If this is not possible now, you count that is possible for MAC users who also have an iPad?

  • I get messages on my IPAD, "Safari cannot download FOXFIRE.". Help!

Simple. How to download FIREFOX on my IPAD? I've already downloaded SAFARI. I get the message that I can't download FIREFOX for free using SAFARI browser. What should I do?

The mobile Firefox is only for Android 2.1 + and ARMv7 types of processors. The version of office for Mac OSX certainly will not work on the iPad, if that's what you were trying to do.

    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/mobile/platforms

    iPhone/iPad/iPod
We have no plans to release the full Firefox browser for iOS. The iOS SDK agreement requires apps to use Apple's own JavaScript engine (or none at all, like Opera Mini which downloads pre-rendered pages from Opera's servers and cannot run JavaScript code in the client). Because of this, we have no supported way to distribute Firefox's rendering and JavaScript engine to iPhone users.
However, you can download Firefox Home for iPhone, an iOS app that uses Firefox Sync to deliver Firefox bookmarks, browsing history, and tabs to your iPhone or iPod Touch.

  • How to unlock my IPad Safari windows so I can sail again?

Last week, at a certain point, I found that I can not click on most links within many pages of typical web search, especially Google, Yahoo, etc. search pages... even though some sites are still available (!) I just clicked on the news sites in the personal page of Yahoo who worked (USAToday, CNN), but the browser bar little shows a "lock", and usually when I try to click on something then crashes the entire page.

    • I tried several options online to unlock (including now the upper tab until becomes the Off slider, then holding the button down under the window for 10-15 seconds). At this point, I can now unlock a little to move around the page, and the iPad is not always gel altogether - but the browser also does not work properly.
    • Not every page crashes - most 'important': Amazon still work for example, and eBay especially unlocked with some of my efforts - but not Google or my email links. (This also happens when I try to click on a link in an e-mail message - blocking the entire page again).
    • I update my iPad this weekend with the latest system, IOS 9.3 - but that has not helped.

Either way, my iPhone the same problem - but later took.

It is a known problem with 9.3 and right now, Apple has not issued a fix. Workarounds include using another browser. People have reported that Opera and puffin both work but I have not experienced with them to know for sure. (and honestly what works for some doesn't work for others)

There are also some success reported by the people who are in settings, safari, advanced and disabling java script.

Ultimately the people just have to wait for a fix to come, and there is no timetable for when that will happen.

  • iPad safari crash, reboot back to the home page of safari. Has begun to do this with 8.1 update and never stopped. I hope that new updates should solve this problem, but they did not. I will not buy an Apple product once again.

MY iPad hangs on web pages to the home page of Safari. Started to do this with the 8.0 update way back. I kept hoping that each new update which would stop, but it's not. I is very annoying! According to me, I don't want another Apple product. I've seen other messages on this same thing and some answers say to hold the home button and button simultaneously until iPad goes out but this is not enough. Apple does not seem to care to fix it after all these months.

If you think that every iPad 2 does that and ignored, Apple?

You realize that it could be a website that you visit that could cause this? Or an application that you have. What did Apple say when contacts you to this topic? What else did you do besides a reset?

  • Is it possible to synchronize Safari Keychain passwords from my Mac or iPad Safari on my new iPhone 6s

When I transferred the data and settings from my old iPhone to my new iPhone 6s, none of the Safari passwords came through. The old phone is over now, but the passwords in the keychain of Safari still exist on my Macbook Pro running El Capitan and iPad2, and they seem to be synchronized.  Is it possible to sync my iPhone to sync Mac and iPad?

Try the settings/iCloud and turn on Safari and set of synchronization.

  • Restore sites removed frequently visited in iPad Safari

When I first got my iPad and did not have much idea what I was doing and thinking that my action would be temporary, I deleted some of my sites the most visited of the Panel frequently visited. Having realized my error, it has been an annoyance to access these sites, I have to use different methods.

Is there a way to restore (or changing the list of) frequently visited sites? It doesn't seem to be in any way in the Safari settings.

The answer to this is to go to settings > Safari and scroll down and select clear history and data from the Web site.

The reason that I only did this earlier, it's that a warning which said that the data would be cleared by other aircraft signed in iCloud and I didn't lose my Mac Safari history; However, having bitten the bullet, this seems not to apply to this history of the unit, just shared history.

  • A pop-up on IPad Safari on the renewal of the certificate

A renewal certificate ceases to appear on myiPad that the identity of the server can be verified by Safari.

I think that it was an advertisement of a forum page.

everything seems authentic, with all the correct details.

the certificate said he was about to expire, but could be renewed until next year.

However, it continues to request a username and password?

The Web site is for fiat professional.uk, who never visited, the Organization in the name of the topic is Akamai and

    the transmitter is Verizon

I know one of the solutions is to check the time, date, etc. in the settings but it is up to date.

    Any ideas please?

Which can happen if the iOS on your iPhone software is not up-to-date.

Tap Settings > general > software update
