  Yesterday, I upgraded my iPhone and iPad to ios10 successfully.   I understand that after updating to iOS 10, your MacBook is more recognized in iTunes. I know it's important to be able to sync your iPhone with iTunes, so I'm happy to help you.

  Note that the likely cause here is an older version of iTunes. Since iOS 10 is still new, it is important to have the latest version of iTunes installed. Currently, it is 12.5.1, that requires OS X 10.9.5 or later version must be installed:

  Since you currently have OS X installed 10.7.5, you'll want to update to OS X as well. You can see more info on how to upgrade to the latest version of Mac OS X here:

  What version of Windows do you have?

  The iPhone IS requires at least iTunes 12.3.X which, in turn, requires Windows 7 or later.

  If you are still using Windows XP, the latest version of iTunes that you can run is iTunes 12.1.3.6.  If this is the case, I'm afraid you're stuck.

  EDIT: Just read your message, and I think it's probably better where it is (because you need help syncing your songs via iTunes on your Mac). He should be fine here, but if the moderators believe that he should be somewhere else, they will move for you.

  Can you guys confirm that? I use Apple music on iTunes Version 12.4 and I check fade, and the playlist doesn't always fades chained between songs, either, even if I set the crossfade to sound the most high (12 seconds). You can fix this?

  This seems to be a bug in 12.4.0 - I've not seen reported bugs or workarounds, so you have to wait the next update access to this new feature.

  Don't get an iPhone. I think the Android device is a better solution for you.

  If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:

  1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
  2. Plug in your device
  3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
     It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
  4. Right-click and select software update of the driver...
  5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
  6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
     C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
  7. Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
  8. Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
  9. Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

  You need to update the version of iTunes on your computer, not the iPhone.

  If you are using a Mac, use the App Store app to install iTunes updates available.

  If you are using Windows, download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website.
