These errors can usually be fixed by removing the offending dll, then fix the component it is programs and features Control Panel. CoreMedia.dll belongs to Apple Application Support and are normally in

    C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Apple\Apple Application Support or

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

    RECUVA recovers files...
Do you have any suggestions for assistance?
It of frustrating and prevents me from doing my work
PLEASE ADVISE/HELP ME or tell me WHERE I CAN GET HELP!

If you mean that you see a message like this trying to launch iTunes:

iTunes.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because RICHED20.dll not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

    Followed by:

ITunes has not been installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.
    Error 7 (Windows error 136)

I can tell you that none of these ideas of Support Engineer will replace a missing riched32.dll file.  It's just another technical support engineer wild-goose chase.

You need to replace the missing file.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called riched20 when the name of the file should really be called riched20.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

  • Windows error 126 / ODBC32.dll (not found)

my problems started with itunes doesn't work is not on my computer. This error message came up:

iTunes.exe - Unable To Locate component

This application has failed to start because ODBC32.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

so I uninstalled and reinstalled the application several times but nothing has changed. I called the apple people to see if they could help me with my problem. I followed their instructions and downloaded programs to help install itunes differently. then this window came up:

    iTunes

iTunes has not been installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes.

    Error 7 (Windows error 126)

ultimately they could not help me to solve my problem and said I was more likely to have a problem with windows itself. shortly after other programs on my computer stopped working as well because the same problem of files being absent

I tried to do the 'sfc/scannow 9Rating ' thing too, but it did not work...

If nothing seems to work, including the SFC, try a repair upgrade installation:

    Help, please

    Rin :(

First, you use Windows 8 or 8.1 of Windows.

To find to do the following:

    1. Hold the keyboard Windows key and press R.  That should open the box run.  Type winver, and then click OK.
    2. When this window opens to see if it says: Windows 8 Microsoft Windows Version 6.3 (Build 9600).   If that's the case then you have Windows 8.1, if she doesn't then proceed as follows:
    1. Open Control Panel and click on programs and features
    2. Uninstall iTunes.  If it says to restart after that then restart.

DO THE FOLLOWING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS INSTALLED 8.1

    1. Make sure that you save your work and close any programs you have open
    2. Open Control Panel and click on programs and features
    3. On the left, click on view installed updates
    4. Make sure that KB2871389 and KB2917499.  otherwise go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and find files, download them and install them.  If the display shows anything on restart Windows, do.
    5. Then, go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and in the area of research on update 8.1 for Windows (KB2919355).  Then go to page x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64-bit), download the file when the download is complete, close the browser.
    6. Navigate to the location where the file was downloaded to and double click above and follow the instructions on the screen.
    7. IMPORTANT: even if the file is installed, DO NOT USE THE SYSTEM
    8. Once completed the installation if it is told to reboot the system, then click the restart option.
    9. After you return the desktop hold down the Windows key and press R.
    10. In the run box type winver, and then click OK.  If it says that Windows 8 Microsoft Windows Version 6.3 (Build 9600) then you have upgraded to Windows 8.1

    HOW TO FIX iTUNES

    1. Go to the Apple site
    2. Download iTunes
    3. Once iTunes is done downloading, close the web browser and anything else that is open.
    4. Go to the folder where you downloaded iTunes and install it.
    5. If it says to restart after that, and then restart your system
    6. After return you to the office by train via iTunes after this.  There might be a chance, you need to add your MP3s in your library iTunes again

  • 'Error 2 (Windows error 5)' - while reinstalling iTunes

I have Windows Vista Home Basic on an eMachines t5082. I just bought an iPhone 4 two days ago, so I downloaded and installed itunes. (As a backdrop, I had iTunes on my computer 3 years ago and has never been able to sync my old iPod friend on this one and had problems buying pieces, so I've never had luck with iTunes.)

I had two problems with iTunes since Thursday when I bought my phone. iTunes has worked until I tried to update my library and sync to my iPhone 4: either the iTunes caused two to close. I had Apple Support call me and followed their instructions to uninstall all Apple software via Control Panel. When I reinstalled as administrator, iTunes opens and I get the code "error 2 (Windows error 5) Apple Application Support is required to install iTunes". When I check Control Panel, Apple Application Support is installed on my computer so I don't know why I get this code. I tried to repair and uninstall again and reinstalled iTunes again.

I called Apple back twice and they advised me to uninstall all Apple software again, and my Windows Vista must be updated to Service Pack 2, then I used windows update and spent the entire evening, update all important updates and restarted my computer.

After reboot, I've downloaded iTunes again because they advised me that maybe I didn't have the current version. Installed as administrator again, and I still get the code 'error 2 (Windows error 5) '.

I uninstalled and reinstalled all software Apple about 7 times since Thursday. Nobody at Apple knows what to do. One of the latest Tech told me that it is a Windows problem. It has been very frustrating! I just want to put songs on my phone, and I don't want to rebuy songs all over again once I already bought on CD.

I know it's long, but it has been a long process and I needed to list as much as possible in the order it happened. Can someone help me?

You get the error message is specific to the program, it is not an error generated by Windows. As a result, Apple is your best place for assistance.

You can try to create a new administrator account and test if everything works fine, but if it doesn't, the only other option we suggest is to back up your files on an external and reinstall Windows.

    (b) double-click on the service named "Windows Installer".

    (c) check the value the ""Startup type: "field." If it is currently set to "Disabled", it is the

problem. Change it by selecting 'Manual' in the drop-down list box.

    Method 2

Unregister Windows Installer and then reregister Windows Installer. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) click on the ""Start " menu and later type run and press ENTER."
