    Hello

My problem is exactly the same as the title. My iPhone 4S warms up quickly, turn it off and after I turn the iPhone, the battery drains quickly and the iPhone will turn off after 5 minutes. iPhone turns off again and again until I put the iPhone on the charger. It is bad because I like to play games like Pokémon GO. But after 10 minutes of play, the iPhone starts heating (and of course delay).

Things I've tried: (and didn't work)

The apps I use no fence. (I close applications once I stop playing)

Turn off location Services. (Enabled only when I'm with apps like GPS...)

    Reduce the brightness

I will be grateful for any kind of help.

Welcome to Apple Support communities, Krystof11cze.

It seems that you encounter problems with your iPhone 4S on iOS 9.2.1 with heating, battery draining and stopping. Good job on the steps you tried as I would have recommended those as well. I will do my best to help!

    1. backup of your iOS device - because I have erase you your iPhone completely, it is strongly recommended that you will lose your data if you do not.

    2. restore your device to factory settings - using the settings on your iPhone will only erase your personal data. You will need to let iTunes erase the iOS version installed a new clean copy can take place.

3 test the question - the first time through, set up your iPhone as a new iPhone when it asks. It's just temporary. You can connect to iTunes and App Store and iCloud and also download some of your applications. Test for problems you encounter. If your iPhone's battery life is improved, follow the next step.

    4. restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!

    Hello s60rp10n_o7,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand from your question, that your iPhone has become hotter than expected. This may be normal or expected behavior, according to what the iPhone does. The following article contains more information on this.

When the device or charging the battery, it is normal for it to warm up. The outside of the machine works like a surface of cooling that transfers heat from inside the unit to the outside fresh air.

  • iPhone 4S gray WiFi outside

Hey, if after a year of using my iPhone 4S my wifi on the device suddenly renounced me. Initially, it started randomly disconnecting from the current wifi network to which it was connected. That would happen rarely perhaps 1 to 3 times per month, but after a few months or so it would disconnect from the wireless network and lose their ability to find wifi networks. Which means that he could not find any wifi network until I rebooted the device. This continued for some time and was not really a problem because it happened from time to time. Then one day it has been disconnected from a wifi network and I rebooted the device. After the reboot it the wifi icon in the gray Control Panel. He had left the wifi symbol in thought and so I rebooted the unit again and it was fine. Now, it's happened quite regularly for a few days, until the icon completely turned grey. It has become a gray circle dark with nothing inside. No matter how many times I restart the wifi device does not light. I tried to force the reboot of the device, but that does not work, also I even reset all the network settings that do not work too. I erased all of the iTunes device and that he did not set too! This problem has also begun after that I updated the phone to IOS 9.0. I searched on the web for different types of solutions, but it is either the iPhone being heated by a hairdryer or being stored in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more. I don't think that these are very good methods so please can someone help me solve this problem!

PS: If a picture is needed I can provide that too

Thanks for reading this and for your help.

    Hi Azman3456,

You seem to have done most of the troubleshooting on your own. When you restore the device to factory settings, you set up as new, or did you restore your data from a backup?

If you have restored it from a backup, I advise you to try to restore it again and set it up as new.

When a device is restored to the factory settings and set up like new and the question comes up, it means that there is a hardware problem. You can go to your operator, an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized Service provider depending on the country that you find, or call Apple to set up a repair with a delivery service if it is possible in your country.

Everyone is facing the same issue. Help, please...

Hello, do you use WIFI or cellular network?

If you use WIFI, please follow these steps:

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

bad yesterday update ios to ios 10 and now from 08: 56 100% battery 9.1 doing nothing just text SMS at 09:53 I have 80%... and the device of heating in the morning I don't feel never this heating device, even though I play games but to only send SMS and email anything download or something like this on bottom...

I don't know what happens if that is what material damage of upgrade or something software error

Unit has less than 6 months so it's not old device

    Thanks for the replies

The heating after an upgrade is usually for two reasons:

    (1) an application that is not compatible in loop

    (2) the phone is busy reindexing content

The second will resolve itself after a while; the first will be asked to determine what app is responsible, perhaps by checking the battery usage statistics.

    Hello

It may be normal for your iPhone to become warm when charging. Outside acts as a surface for cooling, heat transfer inside the camera of the iPhone to the cooler air outside.

  • iPhone 7 doesn't work...

After restoring a backup, my iPhone 7 overheated and then would not power on. I was wondering if anyone else had problems eating or switching on of their 7?

After receiving my black Jet iPhone 7 mailed, I turned and followed the instructions on the screen to activate and restore from a backup on iTunes. 40 minutes later (my previous iPhone was a full 64 GB), the restore is complete, and that I unlocked the phone to find most of my 100 + apps have dimmed and not download. iTunes has shown my complete restoration. I tried to sync the phone and nothing has changed. I noticed that my pictures were disorganized as well. Thinking that something went wrong while I wasn't looking, I decided to do the restore once more. The same exact results and no change. All the time my iPhone 7 had been on the table, I used it. I picked up the phone and felt that it was VERY hot. It comes to my iPhone 4, and it's been hot. I thought I might have a situation of battery "samsung" on my hands, then I hit eject the iPhone on iTunes and unplugged 7. At that moment, I realized that the battery percentage has dropped 30% of then I first connected on my mac. I know that my power cord and mac worked, because I had just used to load and save my iPhone 6 successfully.

Soon, the iPhone 7 has given the "iPhone needs to cool until you can use it. I quickly placed under a fan and kept a safe distance from myself... After 10 minutes, I came back to the phone and it was usable, but still hot. Noticed applications were still gray, and the battery percentage fell even more.

I noticed that the 7 wasn't 10.0.0, while the backup was coming from an iPhone 6 with 10.0.1. Unfortunately, the wifi I used was too slow to immediately update the iPhone 7 to 10.0.1. Feeling frustrated and helpless at 11 pm, I decided to call it a night. I had clicked download only on iTunes earlier, but he had about 4 hours download the 10.0.1 update. Without the phone connected to anything, I turned my iPhone off 7.

The next morning I eagerly woke up to fix my phone, but to my horror, he refused to power on.

An even longer story short, I have tried different methods, talked to Apple Support online and then to the Apple Store. There are lines to buy the iPhone 7 and all the reserves have been reserved, but I was still able to take a walk in the genius bar appointment. In the end, they could not either power on my iPhone and the tests, they ran gave no immediate response. I'm now waiting for the store to call me when they have a replacement, Jet Black is not easy to get...

If all goes well they will soon have one for me! A when they do I'll do the restore with me!

Someone had problems like that? Found a few tweets "iPhone 7 lights" on twitter.

    Things, I am wary of:

    1. my iPhone 6 back came up to 10.0.1, while my iPhone iOS 7 functioned iOS 10.0.0. This could cause a restore without success?

    2. my iPhone 7 has a bad battery that caused heat, discharge and ultimate disappearance.

Your thought #1 seems very logical.  However, I went through the same process with success: I got an iPhone 6s running iOS 10.0.1 I restored a 7 10 iPhone running IOS.  Then, I was able to update the iPhone 7 iOS 10.0.1.

If I have not personally experienced this, I would have thought that your suspicions #1 was on the money.

If you still have the iPhone in your possession, I highly recommend a reset.  On the iPhone 7, because of the new taptic the home button, you reset the power and volume buttons together for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

  • iPhone 7 against overheating

My new iPhone 7 overheating once he starts to play the video, download files, or play music. It heats up even when I take pictures.

I found the following article, given a fix. I zero the phone and began as a facility clean, new phone and still warm.

Here is a quote from the article:

How to fix Apple 7 iPhone and iPhone 7 more overheating problem with these solutions:

    • There is a good chance that a third-party application is the cause of overheating Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone Plus 7. The best way to check this problem is by pressing the power and the Home button until the screen becomes black and then remove your finger from home while continuing to press power. Once you see the Apple logo - press and hold the volume up button until the springboard of the charges. If the appliance is in Mode safe tweaks will disappear under the settings menu. If the problem has disappeared, then you know that it is caused by a third-party application. You can try to uninstall one by one in order to track it down or go for a factory reset.
    • Before you Apple 7 factory reset and iPhone iPhone 7, it is recommended to wipe the partition cache of the smartphone (Learn how to clear Apple 7 iPhone and iPhone 7 more hiding). Finally press Edit > delete to delete the application data.

Did anyone else have this problem, and you have a fix or solution?

    Thank you

I'm having the same problem. I noticed that my iPhone 7 became REALLY hot when I recover all my data to iCloud. I tried a restore, then even traded my iPhone for a new and the heat problem is still there. I think it's iOS or app related.
