iPhone 7: itunes sync works not

Error message: iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an invalid response was received from the device.

Hello

I try to install the backup from my old phone to my new iphone, but continue to have the same error message. Tried to restart and different cables, but it does not work. I have itunes on IOS 10.6.8 11.4. I also tried with Maverik and same result...

Thanks in advance for your help.

You need iTunes 12.5, which requires OS X 10.9.5 or more.

  • iTunes sync is not finished

    Hey guys,.

I have been facing this problem for quite a while now and can't seem to get rid of it. When I connect my iPhone via the usb cable on my Mac, iTunes will start the synchronization procedure, but he will always pick up to step 8 of 8 (pending items to copy) no matter how long I leave my phone connected. The synchronization ends simply cannot.

Also when I unplug the iPhone, the sync on the iPhone wheel symbol will continue ' to turn' forever and will not disappear. This will only disappear when I restart the iPhone.

It becomes quite annoying and I want help to fix this somehow. Both iPhone and iTunes are up-to-date. In fact, from what I remember, this problem appeared when I did the last IOS major update. Prior to this he has worked flawlessly.

Mac is 10.11.6 and iPhone 6 is iOS 9.3.4.

    Thank you

    Hello calin.vama!

It is quite nice when I am able to use iTunes to get things on my iPhone.  We can certainly check things and see what happens.

You can update the software of the iPhone to iOS 9.3.5 because it's later now and just recently released.  Since it's happened for a while, however, there is something else to do, too.

Let's start with the safe mode and see if the synchronization ends there: try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

Then restart normally and try the sync again.

If things are the same, we're going to reinstall iTunes.  Download from this page and it will install on top of your existing iTunes: iTunes - download iTunes - Apple

  • Songs are not playable on the Iphone after itunes syncing

    Hello

I have a big problem, I synced my iPhone 6 with iTunes on my PC Windows 8.1 (both have the most recent version of the software installed), but now, nearly half of my songs are included on the Iphone but gray and cannot be played with itunes there is no problem playing them.

Not all the songs are bought on itunes, that some are other portals of the time download before I used iTunes and some are CD. Until I synced the majority of my songs worked perfectly fine now with about 50 songs playlist can play around half of the songs is not available... If I click on it I get two different messages:

seriously what is that, I do not use Apple, iCloud or game music and that you don't want to listen, I want to just my music files on my computer to be synced my Iphone so I can listen to.

These are my settings on the iPhone:

What I did yesterday was to remove all music from my iPhone via iPhone options, after I made a link to my PC and sync the iphone without music, then I restarted the iPhone by holding down the home button and lock until she has been reset, after it restarts I have once again it connected to PC and sync all my music (so I thought) back to the iPhone , but after this process even more music was missing, before I had only a few songs don't sync, but now half of the songs is not playable.

Can someone tell me what is the reason for this and how do I solve it, I want to listen to my music and I don't understand why it does not work, where some dreams perfectly worked well yesterday.

The following steps should resolve things:

    1. Backup of your device.
    2. Restoration as a new device/factory.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

    Hi guys

My itunes can't detect my iphone and ipad, when I wanted to use itunes wifi sync for some time before and curiously he also could not go to the itunes store. After searching online for answers, it worked when I tried to reset the Winsock Catalog, but I had to do every time when I try to synchronize or go to the store which is very irritating. Does anyone have the same problem?

Windows 7 home Prem itunes 11.

iPhone and ipad running ios 7 and ios 8 respectively.

    Hello

    Welcome to Apple Support communities.

As I understand it, there is a problem that prevents your computer from synchronization of your iOS wireless devices and connect to the iTunes Store, but you're able to work around the problem temporarily by a Winsock reset. The article below provides a lot of information that can help you solve this problem by identifying and eliminating anything contradictory Layered Service Provider software that might be installed on your PC.

  • Synchronization of music from iphone to itunes which are not bought or on the computer

    I know... crazy sounds...

Okay, so I got a Dell with all the music stored on the hard drive. This includes songs that were not purchased via Itunes. Of course, he ends up dropping and the hard drive crashes. I decide to buy a Mac. When I connect my phone to Itunes, I can't do anything with the music on my phone that has not purchased. I don't have access to all of the music more. Is there anyway to transfer the music from my phone to itunes on mac if is not on the computer?

There are a few programs listed to halfway to the bottom of this page that might be able to copy their return: recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device

As a first step, it showed:
"Sync met and the synchronization error: unknown error".

    Today it shows:

Even on all the computers I have synced. Tried to clean, by the way, same problem.

Yes, I've updated sync again. And Yes, I've updated firefox. Versions 32.0.3

I think that the problem started after the update of firefox.

Hey maybe not yet, when you type Subject: sync-log in the address bar and open the error logs within one or two, can you copy their content and put in http://pastebin.mozilla.org/ or a similar service and paste a link here on the forum? It would be very useful to assess the problem. Thank you!

  • After updating to the latest version of Itunes, it works really slow, takes more than a minute to recognize my Iphone and will not correctly backup my Iphone

IPhone 6 64 IOS 9.3.1 runs the latest version of ITunes 12.3.3.17

After I updated to the latest version of ITunes, when I run the synchronization, it goes through the six steps, and then returns the message that the backup has failed

Running on a 64-bit Windows 8.1 Dell computer.

ITunes now works much more slowly. Takes a long time to load. It takes more than a minute after I plug in my Iphone for the IPhone to be recognized by Itunes.

I rebooted the machine. Remove the locked file. All have failed to solve the problem

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

Your library must be affected by these measures, but it is also related to backup and recovery advice if necessary.

If you have tried the suggestions above without success, then another option is to go back to the previous version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the roll back tips to installers of iTunes. Roll back of 12.3.3 will be to restore the pre-upgrade library in the previous iTunes libraries folder.

Only if both libraries are attached to the same active iTunes game counts and even then that reflect everything between the two libraries perfectly. Apple music has similar features, but the downloaded media through it can become crowded DRM and disappears if you end your subscription.

    Sync iPod/iPhone/iPad with two computers

It is not possible to synchronize an Apple device with two different libraries, however it is possible to synchronize with the same library of logic from multiple computers. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPhone/iPad compared to the local ID with the unit synchronizes normally with. Are they the same, you can go ahead and sync, otherwise iTunes will want to erase and reload, even when two libraries contain the same files from media. Manual management is not an option with an iPhone because he still wants you to use a single library.

I have my library cloned on a small USB 1 TB that I can take between home & work. In each position, I use SyncToy 2.1 for updating the local copy with the hard disk external. Mac users should be able to find other similar tools. I can open the local libraries or the external hard disk and refresh the content of my devices media. The slight exception is Photos that normally connects to a specific folder on a specific computer, but which can easily be remapped to the library current if you create a folder "Photos" in the iTunes Media folder so that files iTunes sync that keeps up to date, as well. I regularly scan my library for new files & orphans with iTunes folder watch just in case I have make changes somewhere but then replace the library with one more recent copy of the other. Once again Mac users should be able to find other similar tools.

As long as your support is organized in a folder ofMedia of Tunes I, to his tour which is held in the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes media folder organized) each library can access elements on the same relative path to the library folder so the library may be in different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same version of iTunes. If your library is perhaps not in the correct layout see make a library of portable split.

When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there is an entry for it, making it virtually redundant manual management on the iPhone. This behavior has been changed slightly, but it will again that a manual with a library that has the ID management right. If you do not want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the file iTunes Library.itl from 'House' to any other current machine, you want to use, and then clean up the entrances to the library and import of local content that you have on this box. However, you lose other benefits of synchronization.

  • Sync my iPhone on Itunes with NAS library

    Hello

I used to sync to my iphone via itunes with iTunes library that I have stored on my NAS.

I have a new computer and want to do it again.

I had iTunes able to access my library iTunes stored on the NAS, I can play the music on my computer but when I want to sync my iphone, the obly on which I am authorized to do so by Itunes is the local library, not the one on the NAS.

How can I make the NAS library one to use for syncing my Iphone?

The phone searches for the exact same library file used the last time that synchronize you the phone with iTunes.

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes. When you are prompted to select a library to select the file iTunes Library.itl the SIN. If it is not there then you have not kept the entire library on the NAS and the left critical parts of your library back on the old computer.  The only recourse is to get these files to this computer or a backup.  It is usually best to use a portable library but with a SIN, you can run into all kinds of trouble with any iTunes library. In this case, I suspect I know what the problem is, but there are several NAS posts here where we have no idea why a library all of a sudden I have messed up. iTunes and NAS do not play well together.

  • Do not click on IPhone in Itunes bar

After trying over and over again with Itunes simply to detect my Iphone. It will allow me to see the button to switch to the Iphone. But is greyed out and won't allow makes me click on the button of the IPhone.

    Hi xXDaBigBananaXx,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. From your post, I understand that you are unable to select your iPhone in iTunes. I know it's important to be able to sync your iPhone, so I'm happy to provide advice to help with this.

To start, make sure that you said your iPhone to "trust this computer." You can see more info on this feature here:

  • Firefox sync works with my iPhone?

Firefox sync works with my iPhone 5 c?

I am baffled by this response. I use Bookmarks To Go and with success, it let me see my iPad and iPhone tabs open in Safari on one of them and also the tabs open in Firefox on my MacBook Air. I do it using my Firefox Sync account. However, when I'm on my Air I don't see a way to see the tabs open on my iPhone or iPad. Is not as simple as "Apple won't let us", surely? Because of my iPad or iPhone, I see Firefox tabs that are open, I can't see anything that is open on other devices, when I'm in Firefox on my laptop.

  • Can not backup iPhone to iTunes apps

I'm I searched this problem and none of the answers make sense to me.

Problem... I bought a new iPhone 6 for my wife. I plugged the sound 5 s to iTunes to make a back up. When I connected the new phone and choose to use the backup to configure the phone, everything came, but all its applications. I looked into the iTunes app library and no apps are listed in there.

I read online to select in iTunes to automatically download applications. If I download a new application on the phone again and go back to iTunes, Yes 1 new app is here. However, none of the old applications on the old phone have been downloaded in iTunes with the exception of this new application.

Not to mention that it works not properly, I can't wrap the head around is why can't I just do a full backup as before, when he captured everything on the phone, including apps and when I restore from this backup, everything is right here on the new phone as nothing has changed. Another thing I don't understand is, sure iTunes can download new applications in the library but on all the info in the application? How to get this info transferred because the backup if it isn't the phone?

The apps will be saved in iCloud if I would like to back up on there? I worry also about the users at my work who get new iPhones and never use an iTunes backup... They are not understanding people and this will become a nightmare.

Why is - this has changed? Maybe I'm missing something?

I didn't have a great day, I'm tired and I apologize in advanced for my ignorance.

    Thank you.

Due to the thinning app, apps are transferred is no longer the iPhone to the computer when you transfer data. The version of the app that you download on your phone is not the entire application, because it contains only what is required to operate on a particular model. This allows the application to take less space on a device.

You can manually download the applications previously downloaded to iTunes on your computer, as the automatic downloads will do that for you.

iTunes is always a full backup. A backup contains only data stored on each application, not the application itself. If you want to transfer to a new phone properly, you must have these apps already on the phone or in iTunes.

backups iCloud will avoid these problems.

This changed so that applications can take less space on your phone.
