iPhone battery use issues - new

Since the upgrade to 9.2.1 (I skipped a few versions to go straight to this version) the consumption of the battery exploded in the sky?

My battery is only about 6 months only, but barely lasts the day now, even after be left on the charger all night.

When I get home it is about to die, so that I have charge for 1 to 1.5 hours (100%), then I need to put it on the charger again before going to bed, otherwise he'll be dead in the morning when I wake up.

I noticed the new 'Battery' feature, when the message stating to "Low Power" mode when you get to 20% or less.

When I look at the statistics of battery, I see that Siri uses the most powe and just below Siri is a line that indicates: weak Signal.

I disabled Siri (but), but Siri always uses the most power and the low message Signal always shows?

Hello whyisitsotom,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that the battery on your iPhone life is not as long as you expect, and when we look under settings > battery to see what applications or services use the battery of your iPhone, you see a notification that says weak Signal below Siri.

To ensure that your iPhone is to give you the longest possible battery life, I suggest you read on the article which contains information about optimizing your settings.

The specifications indicate that they have the same size. If there is a small difference in the placement of ports and controls that interfere with some cases probably will definitely be confirmed until the launch.

is it because of power problems?

Take it back to the Apple Store and ask them to check it out. It should be under warranty. Bring the MBP along too. It sounds like there might be a problem with it.

  • Subject of the battery in the new update

    Hello everyone

I want to ask about the battery in the new update

I now have the update on my phone 6s but I noticed that the battery run off more quickly than in the previous update

I used the phone every day and the battery last about 5 h 30 but now last 4 hours

I hope you can me hel

    Thank you

Yes there is a problem with ios 10 and 6 s iphone, apparently the 6s more users do not have this problem on the contrary the last update was better for them, battery last more I read.

What can I tell you? I'm pretty bored too, in fact I intend now perform a downgrade of ios 9.3.5. I don't know if he is going to end well if...

But definitely ios 10.0.1 does not apply to me with all these battery problems, whenever I have action now feels as if it was a 1% less than the battery well enough.

I also read that 10.1 unveiled today that a new beta has been for developers, problems, this is the test As just started, we can expect minimum 2 more weeks for those who think to emerge officially much too long.

  • erratic 5s iPhone battery percentage

My daughter 5 s 64 GB ios of the 9.3 iPhone battery percentage is in every sense, suddenly dropsfrom 30-1% then dies (it does on the other % of beginning and end too)

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening and what can be done to remedy this?

    Thank you

    Hello

I have the same problem. I keep that suffer over the months, but with the new update is even worse.

This happens especially after I turn off my phone for the night. When I turn on the battery down over 20% or more.

today when I switched on the battery he was 43% and then it off later. I could not turn it back to the. I tried after a few minutes, then he works with 43% unexpected. then he fell 23%, and since he has never changed.

When I put the phone in charge the battery seems to be gaining a return of 20% extra.

    is also a 5s.

any chance someone has a solution to this issue? I was reading the forums and there seem to be many posts osimilar, but apple seem not to care about it.

    Thank you.

  • iPhone battery has decreased with the Apple Watch

I recently got a Apple Watch for Christmas, I've been very happy together and have (almost) no complaints with the watch in general. Although I noticed that my iPhone's battery life has decreased considerably since I've matched with Apple Watch. Instead of returned from a day's work with 50-60% on my iPhone. my phone is almost dead at the end of the day. I have an iPhone 6 and 38 mm Apple Watch Sport. Does anyone have a solution, or even a final reason for this issue?

  • iPhone battery 5 vs 7

My iPhone 5 is almost unusable with 4 years of regular use. I heard the iPhone battery 7 isn't great, but how it rates compared to the iPhone 5?

Of the iPhone 5 - technical specifications:

    • Talk time: up to 8 hours on 3G
    • Standby time: up to 225 hours
    • Internet use: up to 8 hours on 3G, up to 8 hours the LTE, up to 10 hours on Wi - Fi
    • Video playback: up to 10 hours
    • Audio playback: up to 40 hours

    From http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/specs/:

    • (Wireless) of talk time: up to 14 hours on 3G
    • Standby time: up to 10 days
    • Internet use: up to 12 hours on 3G, up to 12 hours, LTE, up to 14 hours on Wi - Fi
    • Wireless video playback: up to 13 hours
    • Wireless audio playback: up to 40 hours

7 has much improved the battery life on the 5. Also your current phone battery has degraded over time, because it's natural for the batteries, so you will definitely see a significant improvement.

  • iPhone battery draining fast

My iPhone of 6 battery go down 1% all ~ 15 seconds. After 67% it as abandoned and goes up to 20%. At first, I thought it was the beta, so I restored it to the last public update (10.0.2) I restored my iPhone 2 times now and my battery still drains like crazy. I don't think it's a battery problem because it turns off whenever it wants. I noticed something weird however. Whenever I try to reset soft, a deformed glitchy screen opens before he died. Whenever I do this it changes color (red, gray, green). Please help because it is impossible to use my iPhone for more than 3 hours.

    Hello mannycavs123,

Thank you to raise your iPhone battery here questions in Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have the power and portability. I'll be more than happy to offer some things for you to check.

The first thing we want to make sure that all of your data on your device is safe. You can have a backup, but please do a recent experience before you start troubleshooting. You can perform a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: the backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once you know that your data is safe, I recommend that you check two things that can help extend your battery life. Is first called Wi - Fi help. When you encounter low signal strength time when you are connected to a wireless network, this feature allows your device jumping to the cellular signal so that your data will not be interrupted. With the switching signal, you will use more data, and depending on your cellular signal, it can also use more autonomy. This Help article talks about WiFi help: Help on Wi - Fi. I am personally in a great wireless signal box almost everyday, so I have this setting disabled. It can help to increase the autonomy of the battery you want to do.

The second recommendation, I can offer is to disable any applications using cell phone that you should absolutely not. This Help article discusses this: on the cellular data settings and usage on your iPhone / iPad. For example, I do not personally that I've never used the compass. Disable this access to cell data. Because he needs to send and receive data to keep the data when you open it, this will use the cellular data more. A signal, or whatever it is using cellular data more cost more autonomy. The best part of this is, if I'm in an area without wireless and suddenly need my compass, I can go back to these settings and turn it back on. This is why I personally most of these applications disabled except things like phone, mail, Messages, cards, and everything I need to use on a daily basis, even if I go to a wireless network. This can also increase your battery life.

In addition, you can take a look at what applications use the most out of your battery and adjust its use accordingly.  Take a look at this link for more information:

On the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Thanks again for checking out Apple Support communities and have a great rest of your day.
