iPhone disconnect WiFi in case of sleep

My iPhone warning disconnect the wifi when sleep but will automatically reconnect after a few seconds, when I turn it back on. I don't know what happened, but it just started a few days ago.

If it's important, I'm in iOS beta and race 10.1

Hey pontais,

Thanks for you using Apple support communities. I can see from your post that you are having problems with a Wi - Fi disconnection when your iPhone 6 is not in use while running iOS 10 beta. The public version of iOS 10 was released with the latest version being 10.0.2. To isolate and help solve this problem, we want to go forward and you updated to the release version with the procedure described in this link below:

Any software beta iOS

Download the final version of iOS

If you have a beta version of iOS and you want to download the final version, follow these steps:

  1. Connect your device to iTunes.
  2. When your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep now until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
  3. When asked, choose updates to download and install the latest version of iOS nonbeta.
An update installation does not affect your settings or content.

Once you have downloaded the final version, monitor your Wi - Fi again and let us know if you experience the same problem.

See you soon.

Do you have connected? If the iPad goes to sleep and is not plugged, it switch off Wifi. But even if it does, it should resume as soon as you wake up.

The problem may be on the side of the router, too. You can check your router settings.

  • Update iOS 9.2.1 keeps disconnecting wifi

Since that I upgraded my iPhone iOS 9.2.1 as my wifi guard disconnection during the use of the Internet. I tried to restart my phone but without success, not even when disconnecting wifi and turning back on.

To THE point that I had to go back to the settings wifi and turn then in 2 or 3 times every minute at its maximum; normally all less than 20 seconds as he attempted to enter the suppor of apple. Thank God I also use the edge of s6 Samsung Galaxy on my other number and sync all items from my iPhone to it. I will use my Samsung until fix you this and I'll get back to the iPhone as I prefer to use it on any other phone.

Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings

(You may lose the saved WiFi passwords)

Then restart your phone - without loss of data - hold down the buttons off / on and at home until you see the  logo and allow the normal up to start

See if that makes a difference

If not, then reboot your router - cut its power supply for 30 seconds and then plug it back

  • iPhone 6 WiFi disconnection and incorrect GPS location

From a week ago, my iPhone 6 GPS would show incorrect places where I was not only in the Maps app, but also in other applications that use GPS services. I tried to fix it myself by force it reboot several times, which did not work, and restore twice to its factory settings. After execution of factory resets, my phone would connect to my home WiFi network, but leave this connection about 10 minutes after it connected. Whenever it was actually connected to my network, the WiFi was incredibly slow, often forcing me to turn my WiFi and use LTE, resulting in surpluses on my data plan. Reset my network settings does not solve these problems, so my question is: is it possible for me to fix my phone without sending it in to Apple for repair or buy a new phone?

Thank you very much for your answers.

  • iPhone lost wifi

At least once a day my iphone 6 keep losing wifi and do not reconnect unless I have reset or switch back again comes in airplane mode. I have ios updated has and did a restore to iCloud. Thank you

Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes (ask for more details if you wish).

  • No fix for the iPhone 6 WIFI "incorrect password" error?

Was started shortly after the iOS Update 9. We have several customers experiencing the same problem with iPhones and iPads.

Yes, we have been meticulously enter the password. We are aware that it is case-sensitive.

Apparently, there is some sort of strange intermittent problem. My child MX5X2LL/A 6 IPhone will connect to WIFI for a week or two, and then completely to 'forget' the passwords to each wireless network unique, that it is never connected to any notification and without any warning. Then, a week or two later, miraculously connect wireless once more. This weird bug is driving us bananas - especially with all the data overages. It all seemed begins at the time of upgrade to iOS 9. Here's what we've done since September:

    • upgrade to iOS 9.1 and later 9.1 updates

    • Re-set to update to iOS 9.3.1

    • clear and reset the network settings at least 12 times

    • clear and reset the entire phone three times

    • Reset all wireless routers, change the SSID, changed passwords

A few things that do not seem to give us at least some sort of progress, but still unacceptable:

    • people with disabilities find my iphone - connected to WIFI immediately, then he lost again a week later

    • connected to the public WIFI hotspot by Bright House, but not through WIFI interface type

    • connected to two 5G wireless networks, even if it would not connect to 2 same G network with same or different passwords

The signal strength is great in the world. I checked all the obvious and not so obvious stuff. Running a password access point is dangerous and not an option. It is not heat, because in this case from a cold start. The only thing I can find is a difference of firmware in the authentication in the WIFI chip used on the sellers of MX5X2LL / a. are swapped mid-year model in all mobile phones, computers and tablets and is usually transparent, so there may be a problem specific to the provider, Apple is not aware of.

Apple support has been useless and unfortunately pompous as usual, declining several times there is a problem and asking I have send my phone to paying off-warranty service or a replacement, which is NOT a solution, thank you. There are at least hundreds if not thousands of people posting here who have EXACTLY the SAME PROBLEM. My last post was removed because some Apple genius assumed somehow it's funny business going on, but I can assure you and to prove it has NOT NEVER been hacked, cracked, unlocked or jailbroken, whatever that means. Maybe they have a mandate to delete messages that indicate their equipment cannot 'some work '.

  • Satellite Pro A200 failing to connect with iphone via wifi hotspot

My apologies if I get some of the jargon wrong, but I'm pretty useless when you want IT emits.

I have a Satellite Pro A200 and had problems connecting to various wifi connections.
The computer could see the wifi connection and connect to it, but I wasn't able to connect to the internet.

The question of the Office was arranged by our IT support guy (security settings on the new router we too complex for my PC or something like that), but he has not been able to solve the problem of not being able to connect to my iphone to use the 'hotspot' via the wifi function.

Someone there knows a way to solve this, or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

Thanks for any help that anyone is able to give.

    > Someone know a way to fix this or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

This isn't a question of the age of the laptop
As far as I know not that support all mobile operators
You should first ask your mobile operator if you can use the tethering service.

If this would be supported in my mobile operator, then connect the iphone to the laptop first
So that you have two options: you can use the BT connection (in this case check if computer laptop also supports BT) or via a USB cable that came with the iPhone.

(PS: as far I know to attach is supported by iOS3.0 and higher)

After that the iphone was connected to the laptop, you must activate the tethering on iphone.
Under settings of-> network, you should see the option internet tethering it must be enabled.
Now you should be able to see that in the Network & Center sharing control panel.

  • WiFi requires reset after sleep

As soon as my macbook goes to sleep and I wake up, the icon indicates that it is connected to my wifi network, but there is no internet connection until I turn off wifi and then turn it on again - if I do that, it connects perfectly. I've updated to the version the most recent of El Capitan and restarted my computer several times.

Ditto.  I wish that someone would respond to our question/problem.  I got a MBP this past Christmas and love it, but find this very annoying problem.  My iPad Air, iPhone 5 and Windows 10 laptop Lenovo have no problem to stay connected to the internet on the same wifi network, which makes me want to point the blame on my MBP, not my WiFI router or your internet provider.

  • iPhone 6, wifi connection

I have an iPhone of 128 GB with iOS10 6. It has always been slow to the point of connection to routers or does not connect and a recent visit to the USA took out that frustration. I was trying in vain to search Hotel / b & routers b on my phone, so my Kindle and 6 s the iPhone to my wife by my phone would be in touch immediately with a strong signal. I tried to reset the network, as I did several times in the past year since I bought the phone, and which makes no difference whatsoever.

I have also read and followed the advice on these talk pages, with no improvement.

I put my phone next to my wife, my iPad device 2 and my Kindle, all connected to our relatively new Netgear router upstairs, and my phone usually has a weaker signal and is slower to connect.

He is sitting on my desk that I type, the router being under the desk, and the signal is strong at 3 bars with no dropouts.

I'm running out of ideas, and I think it's maybe a rogue phone.

You must first check your Wi - Fi router: check if other devices can be connected. This will let you know if there is a problem with your Wi - Fi router. You can restart your router and restart the connection to WiFi.

Make sure that Wi - Fi and you can see your network

Go to settings on your iPhone > Wi - Fi and check if it is enabled. And if there is a blue check mark next to a network name means that your iPhone or iPad was connected to this network.

Restart your iPhone/iPad, router, cable/DSL mode

If this does not help, reset your network

On your iPhone, iPad, got to settings > general > reset > reset network settings. This will reset Wi - Fi networks and passwords, cell parameters and VPN, and APN settings you used before.

    These measures should help.

  • option of locking iPhone 6s wifi on

Hello, I have parental controls turned on in the iPhone of my child however, he still has the ability to turn off the wifi. I am looking for a way to block 'ON '. He used a ton of cell data so that at home because he forgot that he turned off his wifi. I have talked about him leaving still but as a way to disable its ability to turn off all together.

I think it's impossible. You can disable cellular data and prevent your child to turn it back on, but then you have to put on every time when they come out.

However, if you turn it off during a week or two, maybe they will learn the lesson and pay more attention to it in the future.
