iPhone memory

Hello!
I have 5 s with 16 GB iPhone. After upgrading to iOS 9 amount of storage has declined dramatically: I only ~ 100-200 MB free. I have only 33 apps, no games, no movies, etc. Total amount of storage used (due to the list of applications in the settings) is about 3 GB. At the same time line at the top of this list said I have 11, 5 GB used.
Most of the "heavy" apps are pictures (400 MB), Podcasts (260 MB) and music (150 MB). Other applications are 10-80 MB each. In total, as I have already said, about 3 GB.
iTunes says I have 141 MB used by Audio, 350 MB used by Photo, 1, 15 GB used by applications, 2, 9 used by Documents and 2 GB, 15 GB used by others. And I 5: 45 GB free. metrics of iTunes seems to be close to reality. But why the iPhone itself says I have 11, 5 GB used? Used by what? How do I delete it?
I tried to clear all caches, stories and swaps inside all applications. That did not help. Yes, I have free space, but it quickly becomes unused. I decided to solve the problem in a straight line: erased iPhone and iOS installed and applications fees (not restore from backup). It helped, I've got ~ 5 GB free, and that seems to be right, but after a few months, I once again only 170 MB of free space. With the same amount of apps.
Who face the same problem? Could please tell me if you have any ideas why this is happening?
Thank you.

  • water damaged iphone memory are accessible by others?

So I found a place that is ready to buy my water damaged iphone 5s, problem is that they want remove me device from my icloud account and I'm not sure and didn't quite stupidly asking why they need me to do, so I am wondering here if they are able to access my memory of the iphone. I tried to connect my phone to my PC, which says that the device is discoverable but not readable, but when I used 'Wondershare Dr.Fone' it allowed me to get my data through Itunes backup file recovery. Which brings me to my assumption that if this software can access memory from my broken iphone, it means that other people can also? If so, how can I completely wipe my phone memory?

Sea water is corrosive. It is doubtful that the phone still works.  If you are concerned about this topic, then do not sell.

  • Best practices for the iPhone memory models?

I'm getting an iPhone 6. I could only afford the lowest memory 16 GB option.

I know that I'll need more. But, in my mind, I say to myself, I know that I will not need all the applications that I have on my iPad on the phone.
    Just critical stuff.
I can also shunt images for Google Drive, I have unlimited with. So they are not stored on the phone.
    Music, I'm more worried.

How do they manage others having a low memory iPhone? Tips? etc.

Most people will create a playlist in iTunes and then just synchronize this individual playlist on the phone. Select the music you want, or you can create a playlist of your most played songs. Be creative and even once, just sync this playlist rather than your entire library.

  • synchronize music iTunes to fill automatic iPhone memory with little space left.

I have about 10 GB left in my iPhone, and I want to sync music from iTunes Mac (which occupies about 15 GB) with little space left in my camera for other applications (for example, 5 GB).

Find where I can tell iTunes to sync only 5 GB of data, something like leave "x" GB in iPhone device.

I have sync selected playlists and automatically fill free space.

    iTunes version: 12.3.2.35

    iPhone OS: 9.2

    Hello Friendtam1,

I understand that you are wanting to fill your iPhone with music, but always leave space. Back on what are your options for this.

All having an option to auto-fill for your iPhone is not available, you have the option to manually manage music. This means that you can drag and drop the music you want on your iPhone. With this option, you will see the use to change and can stop it when you feel you have enough storage to the left. Take a look at the article below for more details.

    Hello

My iPhone won't turn n load. I search on google and read the article of more than 200 and try all the way but did not turn on iPhone. I can connect to the iPhone in DFU mode and iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Popup message you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.

If I click this, it warns me that factory settings will be restored and that the data will be lost. I don't want to lose my data. I don't have a backup.

I'm apple showroom that the guy told me having hardware problem.

If I restore the iPhone in recovery mode don't know not can be restored successfully without any problem and iPhone turns on but the apple guy told me is hardware problem if hardware problem then how to restore the iPhone in recovery mode?

I take the iPhone to other stores after they checking all the iPhone, they say can't fix. Some say that the problem of CPU card or the card mother or logic.

    Let's start the discussion.

    Option

    1. I saw on the video, some expert people can get out of the iPhone very easy memory chip.

    Question:

    A. after getting out the memory of my iPhone chip can possible backup on my computer?

    B. can save on my car iCloud account?

    C. they can restore my data to the new iPhone?

    D. is possible without leaving the logic memory chip Board can backup to my computer or iCloud drive?

2 buy second hand iPhone then ask them take out my iPhone memory chip and put it in the second hand phone.

Question: After they change the chip memory then second phone show all applications and data? If the iPhone works this way and then also can backup on iCloud Drive?

    3. If have Logic Board problem, then I change the logic board so my chip memory data put on my logic board.

    Issues related to the:

    A. where can I buy Logic Board iPhone 6 more than 64 GB?

    B. iPhone show all apps and data?

    C. can save on my iCloud drive?

Someone said: he pointed out that it is a small chip on the logic board are common to move on and stop your iPhone from powering on or even charge he did repair today and walla it back I honestly thought that the phone had it but 100% is the question its caused by overcharging.

Questions: What chip on the logic board?

I have download where I save the data because many apps account that apps had no backup service. I have data retrospective get.

If another option available please share here to help others.

I already spend 15 days on research and to read the article and wasting my time. Hope may soon find a way to recover the data.

    Thank you very much

Apple does not sell to all parts of the iPhone. The only way you will get an iPhone logic board, is buying a recovered on another phone.

The iPhone is not serviceable by the user.

If you have not been back, the chance you will be able to recover your data is almost zero. You must back up before something goes wrong, not after.

iCloud photo library automatically keeps all of your photos and videos in the original version, in high resolution. Follow these steps to choose how you store your photos and videos on your device:

    • On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, tap Settings > iCloud > pictures or settings > Photos & camera, then select a storage parameter.
    • On your Mac, click on Photos > Preferences > iCloud, and select a storage parameter.

If you turn on [device] Optimize storage, iCloud photo library manages automatically the size of your library on your device, you can make the most of your device storage and access photos more than ever. You can download original photos and videos over Wi - Fi or cell phone when you need it.

  • According to iTunes more memory available?

According to my iTunes I 1.78 GB of free space left on my iPhone 5, but my iPhone tells me that my memory is full and I have about 388 MB of free space. How is that possible? If I delete things, I see my iTunes and iPhone memory get more space, but it is not the same thing (as I said above). How can I get the amount of space that iTunes always tells me that I have? Thanks in advance for reading this and help out me!

Have you recently downloaded the software update and not installed? If so that could occupy little disk space, I'm not sure why iTunes that wouldn't pick up, but it could be the problem.

  • How to handle Monster pictures 30 K in iCloud photo library? Segment or archive, suggestions?

    Hi there-

I managed to hang a new iPhone 7 now and want to put up, but I'm struggling under the weight of a photo 32 000 iCloud photo library. Yes, I know it's my fault - we had iPhones for years, I'm an accountant family and the taker of the photo, I take too many pictures, I save too many photos, I have teenage girls who take a LOT of pictures.

SO I think they are in the library of iCloud.  When I'm on my phone with iOS 10, I see "All Photos" and the total is slightly less than 32K - BUT I don't really need TO see all 32,000?  In fact, I don't really want to?  I would like to know that they are saved in their original resolution, but never need access to all those who, on minutes notice: they took 10 years to build up!

Can I 'archive' in iCloud library?  They segment somehow?

I have 7 more than 256 GB iPhone memory - isn't a storage thing, it's just something exaggerated.  I'm considering a facility clean b/c I'm also about 1000 apps more than 10 years old.

But once I sign in iCloud, I think that 30K pictures will come streaming back, right?

    Other info:

-My use of Photos on my 6 current iPhone is about 40 GB

-J' have 800 GB available on a 1 TB iCloud account

-In my iCloud account, it says that my photo library ICloud is 97 GB

-I don't have an unlimited Smugmug Pro with photo storage account (although I'm not really all 32K of these-there are many who are not guards).

-J' I download Google Photos to try to save it, but there still 30 000 pictures to back up.

-J' have a MacBook Air but (gulp) do not have upgraded the operating system to have Photos for Mac yet.

I would really appreciate it here a road map to get out of this situation - or not "stack" putting them all on my 256 GB iPhone 7 more and just accumulating more!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Why not only the photos in the photo library of iCloud?

  • Import stopped working

Import stopped working, seemingly at all times and for all devices and locations.  I can't import my iPhones, memory cards or even folders on my computer.  I have re-installed Lightroom 5.7.1 and even improved to 6 to see if it would solve the problem.  Creates a new library... not solved.  CPU chart uncontrolled use in performance... not solved.  Tried different destinations... not solved.  I tried to disable windows device in the Device Manager and reactivation... not resolved.  Tried to uninstall the driver for the iPhone in Windows and reinstall... not solved.  Windows 10 sees the iPhone (s) and import correctly the images. Photoshop elements Organizer connects to the iPhone and see pictures and products are imported correctly.  But not Lightroom.  Lightroom looks like it's to discover photos, and for a moment very (very) brief, it sometimes resembles a window is popping up with the photos, but then nothing.  Import button is disabled, nothing to select.  End of the game.

I see many people unable to import; many of these issues are related to specific types of specific files or cameras, but haven't seen all of the threads where import everything just stopped death for all.  Any help appreciated.  Lightroom is not very useful to me if I can't import the photos!

Please, expand all the panels on the right, including the Destination Panel as well.

    and then let me know.

  • Projects of reactive nature is not recognized correctly on mobile phones and tablets.

I have problems with a sensitive project being displayed correctly on mobile and tablet devices.  When I use Adobe Edge inspect the test on the mobile and tablets, it renders correctly in a vertical orientation, but not a horizontal orientation (direction of the unit).  When I publish the project for devices, and then download the project on a web server to test in a browser, I get the same results for the Tablet and mobile phone doesn't recognize any mobile version.  My problem is trying to get the device to recognize the mobile version in a sensitive project.

    What I found:

On a Tablet (iPad 2 - iOS 8) I get the tablet of the presentation version when the unit is vertical and get a desktop morphing version when the device is horizontal. (These results were the same in Safari and Chrome browsers).  When you test in Adobe Edge inspect the tablet version works as it is supposed to be the direction.

On the mobile device (iPhone iOS - 6 8) I get the version compressed when the device is in a vertical and horizontal orientation.  It does not recognize the Mobile version of my responsive project at all (these results were the same in Safari and Chrome browsers).  When you test in Adobe Edge inspect, the phone does not recognize the project in mobile version when it is vertical, but recognize the version of the tablet in a horizontal position.

I do not have access to other devices (i.e. Android) to see if the results are the same.

    How I found this:

I created a new responsive project with only 1 slide and 1 button (the button is pause the presentation).  In the view of the office, I created a "Desktop" title and hid in respect of other points of view.  I did the same thing for the Tablet and mobile, with the titles 'Tablet' and 'Mobile' which are hidden in other views.  I then published the draft for the devices and downloaded on a test server.  Here is the link to test.

So my question is if someone else gets the same results that I am and if someone knows a solution.  What I need the most is for mobile devices to recognize the correct version in a vertical orientation in a browser.  I hope this isn't a problem with browser/phone and it is an easy fix.

    Thank you!

Also with regard to your iPhone.

Your IPhone memory 6 is 375px width of display window, the default value of CP is 360. That's why your iPhone 6 enter the cause of the published file tablet mode detects your iPhone 6 width is greater than 360.

Open this site on your phone and confirm your width is 375: what is my Viewport size?

Then adjust (increase) your mobile breakpoints in captivate to the width of your phone. It should then enter the width of your phone.

with the help of iPad 2 Air. Use of the photos 14.3 GB app memory. Same number of photos on the iphone and the same parameters but the pictures use 28.4 GB

I checked the settings iCloud and photos on both devices and they are identical.

No idea why this is happening?

One reason might be that your iPhone has more space free storage to your iPad. (Assuming that the parameter storage to optimize is activated.) More storage, photos more will remain on your device at full resolution. In theoray at least.
