iPhone restore iTunes Apps?

Ive tried to restore my iPhone via iTunes and everything on it except the apps that I bought.

Applications appear but they say waiting and will not open when I press them.

Is this normal? Must install now on iCloud?

Thank you

Yes it is normal, let iTunes complete synchronization of the applications to your phone.

  • Can not backup iPhone to iTunes apps

I'm I searched this problem and none of the answers make sense to me.

Problem... I bought a new iPhone 6 for my wife. I plugged the sound 5 s to iTunes to make a back up. When I connected the new phone and choose to use the backup to configure the phone, everything came, but all its applications. I looked into the iTunes app library and no apps are listed in there.

I read online to select in iTunes to automatically download applications. If I download a new application on the phone again and go back to iTunes, Yes 1 new app is here. However, none of the old applications on the old phone have been downloaded in iTunes with the exception of this new application.

Not to mention that it works not properly, I can't wrap the head around is why can't I just do a full backup as before, when he captured everything on the phone, including apps and when I restore from this backup, everything is right here on the new phone as nothing has changed. Another thing I don't understand is, sure iTunes can download new applications in the library but on all the info in the application? How to get this info transferred because the backup if it isn't the phone?

The apps will be saved in iCloud if I would like to back up on there? I worry also about the users at my work who get new iPhones and never use an iTunes backup... They are not understanding people and this will become a nightmare.

Why is - this has changed? Maybe I'm missing something?

I didn't have a great day, I'm tired and I apologize in advanced for my ignorance.

    Thank you.

Due to the thinning app, apps are transferred is no longer the iPhone to the computer when you transfer data. The version of the app that you download on your phone is not the entire application, because it contains only what is required to operate on a particular model. This allows the application to take less space on a device.

You can manually download the applications previously downloaded to iTunes on your computer, as the automatic downloads will do that for you.

iTunes is always a full backup. A backup contains only data stored on each application, not the application itself. If you want to transfer to a new phone properly, you must have these apps already on the phone or in iTunes.

backups iCloud will avoid these problems.

This changed so that applications can take less space on your phone.

  • Need to transfer from iPhone to iTunes apps

I had to perform a new installation of OS 10.11 El Capitan. Doing so removed my apps (I think my music library is OK...) - so I have all the apps on my iPhone.

The issue is - as I can't synchronize without wiping the iPhone with nothing library on my MBP - how to get apps from the iPhone to MBP? Note, I have file > transfer from iPhone (as coming from another page from Apple's Support) and has no effect.

I have 5 apps according to iTunes on MBP - but iTunes accurately 'sees' the 191 apps on iPhone

Any wise advice would be greatly appreciated.

First say you that the library is correct but then tell you it's a library, hence it is not correct.  The way to avoid having to wipe a phone is to transfer the library properly.

Move a library: quick response if you use preferences by default iTunes settings: copy the folder iTunes integer (and to ensure that all of its subfolders and files) intact to the other disk. Hold down the option/ALT key to start iTunes and on request to select a library iTunes Library.itl file in the copied folder.

When it's to a new computer put the iTunes folder copied to the default location of Macintosh HD > users > * user name * > music (or home > music) so you don't even have to start with the down option, iTunes will automatically look for what it y.  (Make sure that it is no anything already in the iTunes folder it that you want to keep because you will replace it with the one you are moving).  Don't forget to authorize computer in iTunes to your Apple ID if you use it to synchronize with Apple devices or play multimedia DRM protected (e.g., movies).

Some elements used in iTunes related activities are not stored in the iTunes library folder, but in special folders.  If you move a library to another computer, you can copy these too:

    -Music Apple file cache: http://dougscripts.com/itunes/2015/09/new-flush-apple-music-cache-files/

-device iOS, various preferences files backups: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3285925

In regards to the transfer of the app, you can't not with the new "App thinning" with iOS9.  To make smaller applications they are being customized for specific materials downloading Apple directly on a device with iOS9. Applications downloaded directly to an Apple device may no longer work on any other type of device. Apple has decided there is no point of synchronization to a computer, because each device should ideally get a customized version directly from Apple. If you want a backup copy on your computer you can transfer a version non-diluted directly from the computer store that has you need may be transferred to any device-i (but will take more space).

  • iTunes App updates are no longer sync with iPhone

I'm in iOS 9.2 on my iPhone and iTunes 12.3.2.35 64-bit on Windows 10 Pro.  It was that when I updated my apps on the iPhone and then sync the phone with iTunes, applications would be update automatically in iTunes and then appears in the Recycle Bin, ready to remove older versions of applications.  In this case is no longer, so now I have to update the applications on the iPhone and iTunes separately if I want to update Apps in both.  What is the purpose of this?  Why double our efforts?  I tried to update Apps in iTunes first and then running synchronization.  Applications updates appear then to be transferred to the iPhone while sync ("transfer Apps... 1 of 4... [Application name] "), but then when I finished the sync and see the updated section of the applications in the App Store on the iPhone, they always appear not updated, with a red circle on the App Store icon indicating the number of applications that need to be updated, and the word"Update"still alongside the Apps in question in the updated App Store section.  What gives?

In addition, in iTunes, in the [my iPhone] / Summary / Apps section, I used to see all of my Apps in the left column, but see only 20 of them.  All 100 + Apps are still displayed on the right-hand side of the screen, which reflects the layout of my iPhone windows, but I discovered that, in order to restore all applications in the left column, I had to go to my account name in iTunes at the top of iTunes then click on purchase and then re-download applications.  Why on Earth?  They who don't take up much room on my SSD and they are already on the iPhone, so there is no saving space on the iPhone by showing only not all applications in the left column, so what gives?  What's the point?

Please return to the process where when I sync my iPhone my Apps are updated automatically in iTunes.  Why do you do the doubly difficult process?  And, what's now the sync at all, if I don't have photos or new playlists or something like that on my machine I want to synchronize with the iPhone?  There is no synchronization, then, and so unless I have no particular reason to synchronize then I don't be backup versions of the database of the iPhone on my machine on a regular basis!  Apple, you get an Apple rotten to me!  I thought you were all make tech easier to use, more confused!

A feature introduced with iOS 9 called thinning or slicing app app allows each device to download just the code and resources required by this device, resulting in smaller downloads and a better use of the storage on the device. Therefore the device is no longer the universal version of the application that can be installed on any device to transfer applications is no longer supported. I hope that Apple will bring some changes to how it works, but in the meantime, you can download past purchases from iTunes or activate the automatic shopping app downloads to ensure that iTunes has always the apps you want on your device. As long as you make sure that all of the apps are present and updates in iTunes before you attempt a restore there should be no loss of data. I cannot confirm, but it seems a way to recent update all data are restored and apps that are not in the library are waiting to download from the iTunes Store over Wi - Fi, in a similar way to the restoration of the iCloud way works.

  • Apps should now be updated on both iPhone and iTunes

Before the latest iTunes update, if an application has been updated on the phone or on iTunes, it would update each other through sync.

Now, an application must be updated in BOTH iPhone and iTunes. I used to always update the app on the iPhone and then sync, cancelling the need to update in iTunes.

Why do we know must update the application twice instead of once made previously? He could do a little faster sync without having to download on iTunes, but that savings is probably lost when need to also download in iTunes.

I synchronize at least once a day.

You see the thinning introduced with iOS App 9. When you download an app from the App Store directly on the device, it downloads a specific application for that device and download only the features that work on this device. This is done to save space on the device. Apps for transfer is no longer the device to iTunes, so they must always be updated in iTunes as well as on the device.

You can find more about this with your own research, but here are a few articles, you can watch.

Now, I always have in my iphone app.  Is it possible to transfer this app from my iphone to itunes library?  Or maybe a way to transfer this app from iphone to my new ipad pro directly using a third party mac app.  Moreover, the two devices are running in ios 9.2.

Would appreciate any help and suggestion. Thank you and happy new year!

This behavior started recently.  Every day I open the iTunes on my iPad app 4th gen (running iOS 9.3.2) and tap the icon of movies down to check what movie is on sale (for the promotion of July).  Usually, it does not load.  It sits right there spinning and say "Loading"... ».  I waited 5 minutes and it does not load.

The "iTunes Store" is not sensible here, because it is not a separately loaded element.  Perhaps you mean that you have loaded the iTunes app on your computer.  In fact what you should have done.

I hope you went to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download and got the latest version of iTunes on your computer.  In order to get the latest version (required to interact with your iPhone), you must at least 7 Windows or OS X 10.8.5 on your "new" PC  If you have an older operating system, then you will continue to have a problem.

If you have a recent version of iTunes and find that it only opens when the iPhone is connected to the USB port of the computer, then simply open iTunes yourself before you plug in the iPhone.
