iPhone5 16 GB Bricked by update iOS10

1] iOS10 downloaded on-line at iPhone5 16 GB on September 13 at 18.15UK time; iPhone brick; showing all Apple symbol on the screen

[2] to force the iPhone to reboot, producing a screen with lines of code on it; do not even respond by trying to connect to the MAC / iTunes via a cable; force reboot multiple times, produces the same results

[3] to wait for the battery to be drained by himself before the rest of the procedure; Once the battery is completely drained, to connect the iPhone to iTunes via the cable and finally, the iPhone restarts again like 9.3

[4] update iTunes last version; to connect and to backup the iPhone via iTunes; to proceed with the update iPhone to iOS10 via iTunes; update fails because the iPhone crashes immediately after starting the update, showing the sign of the Apple and the frozen mill

[5] new several reboots of the iPhone; Finally get screen with the sign "connect to iTunes". iPhone recognized by iTunes in recovery mode and forced to restore to the factory settings; Restore without success, showing the sign of the Apple and the mill frozen on iPhone; iTunes pop up message with "unknown error" 4005 & 4013; tried different cables and computers with the same result

[6] appointment of genious Bar created and programmed next week... I guess we will have to deal with some issues by then as for our lack of a plan to Apple Care, or that they are unable to provide due support that we have changed the display of the original iPhone for another, or who knows...

Thus, it is: any suggestions on alternative methods to solve this incident?

Thanks in advance.

Try the following steps to solve the problem with iOS 10.

  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer via iTunes.
  2. Wait about 30 seconds to let iTunes your reading device.
  3. Click Update on your computer when you are prompted, who, "is there a problem with the [device] who forces him to update or restore."
  4. Again click the update on your computer when you are prompted, "If your [device] is unable to be updated, you need to restore it to its factory settings."
  5. Click on restore if you see «your iPad cannot be updated...» "(you won't necessarily have to restore).
  6. Click Restore and update to confirm that you want to restore your device to its factory settings.

iPhone 6s more stuck in the mode of the brick after downloading ios10. Cannot restore via iTunes. error 3014

After the update to ios10, my 5s iPhone seems to work very well. I reconnected it to iTunes and then it bricked, and I panicked.

iTunes synced a couple of times, it took about an hour and a half for me. After that it stopped its cycle of synchronization, I unplugged my iPhone - it still bricked. I then did a hard reset and it worked.

Maybe I got lucky, maybe my iPhone and iTunes need a kick in their buttocks.

Anyone who has had the same problem and have a fix?

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  • Airport Extreme in brick after update firmware 7.7.7

Error while trying to update the Airport Extreme (model A1521) firmware to version 7.7.7.  After clicking on "Refresh" for the EPA in the utility AirPort app on my MBP, it seemed like it was downloading and then restart, but then the "error during firmware update" message popped up.

Then he disappeared from the AirPort Utility app. check the physical EPA, he got a quick Orange flashing light on.

Perform a reset by mode on "soft" apple support  No change in status in the AirPort or LED utility.

Perform a "hard" reset No change.

Perform a reset "factory".  Solid green LED for 1 second, off for 1 second, then fixed Orange LED for 5 to 10 seconds, then orange flashing LED forever.

Removed all connections to the EPAS, repeated above steps with identical results.

Tried to plug the cable to all ports, a both MBP, then in a port to a different router.  No connection.

Base from the bottom of the EPA to inspect the connection with the ohmmeter removed rubber physical reset button. Button contacts are open when not depressed, short circuit when pressed.

EPA appears at all in the AirPort Utility (not in "Other WiFi devices" or the other).

Pushing the reset button on the EPA has no effect, no matter how much time or when it is pushed.

Once the power cord is removed and inserted, the indications are always the same, no matter what I do with the reset button. Green LED for 1 second, off for 1 second, Orange fixed for 5 to 10 seconds, then orange blinking forever.

Interaction ONLY with the device, which had until this point was working perfectly for years, has been through the AirPort Utility software.  Physical interaction occurred after that the update of the firmware he bricked.  Simply, I do not understand how a botched firmware update might brick the MONKEY.  The default firmware must always be able to be loaded with the reset sequence.

    Help, please.

You should not open it... Apple may have been told by replacing.

Firmware updates are always dangerous... the airport less then most of the routers.

However very rarely something can go wrong and the firmware written correctly to the ROM. This will leave the router in a State of broken forever. You need to replace unfortunately.

He got a quick Orange flashing light on.

Restore mode flashing quickly means that it is in...

Perform a reset "factory".  Solid green LED for 1 second, off for 1 second, then fixed Orange LED for 5 to 10 seconds, then orange flashing LED forever.

It flashes quickly or slowly forever?

The ethernet light when you plug the ethernet cable?

As far as I know, there is no firmware emergency repair method at airports... Apple has every confidence their sequence of upgrade to work, even when the firmware is delivered more wireless... always a big risk CF ethernet.

  • 9 brick iOS update my iPad Mini

I have an iPad Mini 1st generation 64 GB WiFi model, which is stuck in a boot loop. It worked very well with iOS 8.4.1 build 12: 321. I upgraded to iOS9.2 build 13 c 75, but many of my applications were not charged despite having used iTunes with a local backup/restore my MacBookPro (mid 2010 13 "El Capitan running). I then tried to restart the device and decided to do a complete restore of the system via iTunes. While I was doing my system recovery/restore when downloading the iOS that my connection from Time Warner Cable is out for me (as it has particular fact for a lot of people in my area at this time as ISP). My iPad is now stuck in a loop of starting up with the Apple logo showing and then it restarts. I get the iTunes error 4005 and have tried all the things listed on the support page for this error, but also to take it to my local Genius Bar. I am still convinced that this error is entirely software related and because of recent changes with how Apple sign their iOS IPSW to install the OS on their devices.

Apple support, if you read this answer please with a time table for when you create a way for which authorized users can re-sign borked iOS devices and get them running again so they are not left with a brick or a $ $ "repair" which is actually a replacement $100. Also, feel free to send me an email if you want to discuss this issue separately. I understand that privacy and security are involved in it so I want to respect that you can and it will solve as needed even if it is in a public forum).

Yet once again, I assure you that this error is by no fault of mine and am fairly certain that the problem lies in the iCloud of Apple and/or Apple authentication for devices processes. I can't be the only one dealing with this issue, and I would be interested to see if others on this community have similar problems. Please post here if you do, because I think that most messages will help Apple to understand how many people need a real resolution of this issue.

Apple, this can only arise under a problem while iOS updates roll faster and the update is practically necessary. (I have an iPhone 6 and 3 both Mini iPad and I leave them on iOS 9.2 instead of iOS 9.2.1 hoping to find a solution to this particular problem). Update alerts come to me at least every day. I continue to say no, and you're getting pretty annoying. I would like to know that there is a little more stability in environments before upgrading.

Apple support do not go to see this and to provide you with anything whatsoever. I have a Mini 16 GB iPad, who owns the iOS 9.2.1. The issue that caused your boot loop isn't the iOS, but internet disruption admitted that you had. What happened when you brought the device to your Genius Bar appointment? Apple has not any changes to the way they sign their updates to iOS, what would make you think that?

To be honest, I don't expect the iPad Mini (1st generation) for more updates, but this is my opinion. While mine is a few problems with multitasking, I hope it's because the processor and the most recent iOS. There comes a point difficult to manipulate this need for the processor. If you haven't tried, you should put the device into Recovery Mode and to update. If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • Dv4-1120us bricked by update of the HP Bios

Frédérique put I went to update the bios on my laptop as I previously without incident.  Well this time the update downloaded, installed and turned off Windows Vista 64-bit SP1.  After that nothing! The lights of power will light up, but that's all.  No HP, no MSFT screen no screen no nothing.  Honestly, I think that it is a bios update due to the update of the HP. It's the update, I installed: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-67379-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...   Long story short HP support chat session has been very helpful and I will send a box to air next day prepaid to ship at his own expense to solve this problem.  Comments are welcome, but I highly recommend anyone with this laptop not to install this update! I have taken out the battery, dethroned the ram and others without any result.  I hope they can fix.

    LordVader311
"The power of the dark side!

lordvader311, many of us brick already our dv4s with the last update of the bios HP but you can fix it yourself in a few minutes as follows

BTW, the credit for this goes to PONGSTER who told us all that...

    Change Note:

I edited the steps for the dv4-1140GO users. Moreover, the 1125nr, 1140go and the CQ45 seem to share the same room, as they use the exact same application BIOS flashing.  This bodes well for those of you who need to get theire fixed dv4, instead of send for repairs.  Don't forget, if you missed your BIOS, sending in for repairs is not the only solution, I discovered, after searching for all possible solutions.  Do the following before you send anything in repairs

I have a dv4-1125nr.  I'm not sure this will help, but you may as well try it before your sending for repair.  I have corrected my messed up BIOS update by following the exact steps, I'll describe here.  There is hope, and you don't need to have your motherboard replaced.  Just follow the instructions and you should be typing on your dv4 in no time.  It took me about 10 minutes, senior, to get all this fact.

    Here we go:

Good... Here are the exact steps I took to get my dv4 back in working order after a failed update BIOS using HPbuggy update (I just had to repeat what we already know... ) I simply cut and paste of 0,0 steps, so all credit goes to him and the engineering on this forum (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=340079&page=3) (Bigozone) Acer section

Here's the exact model number and general specifications: dv4-1125nr, Intel Integrated Graphics 4500, blah-blah-blah-blah (all I had to determine was update the BIOS was necessary for my dv4 with integrated... graphics card later)

    1. go to this site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2100&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3795301 and download the file: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41969.exe

    2. go where you downloaded the file and using 7 - Zip (or tool of your choice of course) unzip the contents to a folder of your choice. We'll get to that later, so keep this file open.

    3. I used a 128 MB USB Thumbdrive (the smallest I could find, because they said the smaller the better ) and reformatted as FAT (by default) in Vista by clicking with the right button on the drive and clicking on "format".

    4. now that my USB is ready, go back to the folder where you extracted the file to update the BIOS (always open to the right of the folder?)

    5. If you have the graphics card Intel integrated like me, copy the 30F7F24U. FD to the key USB and RENAME the file 30F7F24U. FD to 30F7. BIN

NOTE: the file 30F7F24U. FD is for those who have the Intel 4500 integrated video, while 30F7F24D. FD is for those who have the Nvida graphics.

Copy the appropriate file on the USB key, and then on the USB, rename it to 30F7. BIN

The next steps are to 0,0 exact steps, which I simply numbered him: (please follow the correct procedures here and 5 minutes from now, you'll be typing a response to this post on your currently borked dv4 )

6 unplug the adapter from the laptop.

7 remove the battery from the laptop.

8 insert the USB key into one of the USB ports on the laptop.
Does not seem to matter which.

    9. press the 'Windows' key and the 'B' key

    10. connected to the power adapter.

11 press the 'Power' button on the laptop.

    12. when the LED is entered, letting go of the power button / stop and the two keys down earlier.

    13. After about 10 seconds the notebook started to read the USB key. While searching for the file, the laptop beeps every seconds.
The number of beeps varied, depending on what size of the key USB has been and
the number of files on the USB key, a single beep for many.
If the file was not found, the laptop will restart and try again.

    14. If the file is found then it took about 12 seconds for the laptop to load. No beeps sound not heard during the loading time.

    15. when it is responsible for the laptop has started flashing, indicated by beeps every 2 seconds. It took about 32 seconds.

    16. about 5 seconds after the ringtone had stopped off the laptop computer.
    BIOS worked normally thereafter.

    My last step:

    17. dance of joy! Hehehe these instructions should be on the HP site, since they do not seem to bother to test the updates they push users (here I go again!)

Hope this helps all of us (it will help me when I mess up my BIOS Flash... hehehe)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Bricked torch - update OS interruptus.

While I was upgrading my OS today via my computer, the backup/wipe had just finished (I think) and Windows Update then decides to try to be useful and try to restart my machine. I said no, but it seems that the harm had been done.

Desktop Manager gave me an error that I do not remember, and my lamp is completely insensitive and has a red blinking light that blinks twice.

In Googling the question red blinky light, I see that he isn't a new for BlackBerry - fairly common among the bricks.

    (1) I followed a procedure to guide of Crackberry how to unbrick my device using apploader (device was 89xx) - the problem I came on there instead of find the device as 'unknown', he knew the PIN devices, so I think that the thing is not completely erased.

    (2) I downloaded JL CMDR, and it only would not open on my machine Win7, telling me that it "may be installed incorrectly" - I downloaded from two different places, the same result.

    (3) so I downloaded BBSAK - and plugged my unit in, it says that it does not recognize it.

-J' also downloaded the OS on my computer that I want to download, so it's just a matter of putting the OS on the Bay.

So... where can I go from here? All hope?

    Thanks in advance!

You have already downloaded to your PC operating system? Double-click the downloaded file and install it on your PC by following the instructions in step 1 here.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

This should do it for you IF the device is recognized in the application loader.

If the PIN code is not recognized, I would say which dates back to JLCmder.

Troubleshooting iOS 10 tips: Touch ID does not work

Some users have reported that a previously happy Touch ID installation stopped working when they made the update to iOS 10. It is a pain, but rescuable - you will probably need erase your fingerprints and re-enter.

First, however, try something simpler: go to settings > Touch ID & password, enter your password, then press the buttons next to pay Apple and iTunes and App Store so that they become white. Turn off your iPhone and turn it off again, then go back to settings and turn the two knobs back to green (you will need to enter your password Apple ID).

Who fixed the problem?  I haven my Aff!

If not, go through the fingerprint stored in settings > Touch ID & password - press each of them in turn - then erase fingerprints. Then go back and press Add A digital footprint and put back them in. It's a bit complicated, but it should fix the problem.

I did all that, but the problem could not be solved.

    Try the following steps:

    1. go in the settings, press button ID & password, enter your password. Then turn off iTunes and App Store. Restart your iPhone or iPad. Return to Touch ID and password in the settings and re - turn on iTunes and App Store. Press Add a fingerprint to add another print.

2 remove and re-add fingerprints: settings > Touch ID & password > enter your device code > scroll to find fingerprints fingerprints. Press the fingerprint, that you want to remove, and then press DELETE.

    3. restart your iPhone by pressing and hold the Sleep/Wake and home.

  • headphone 3.5 mm jack does not properly after update iOS10

Headphone Jack is not working properly since I have updated to iOS 10, now on 10.0.2, before you start, I would say that my headphones work perfectly, I tried on other equipment, including my old ipod.

So, here's what happened, whenever I plugged and you try to play a song on music or a video on youtube, I could not get any audio, restart the phone partially solve the problem, I managed to play ringtones in the settings menu without any problem, on both my headphones and loudspeaker at the same time , which I don't know if it is planned, I think it must have something to do with some bugs in iOS 10?

someone at - it a similar experience or a solution?

    Hi oramicle,

On the device that you have a problem? I also have this problem on the iphone 6 s. On two different helmets. It's certainly iOS 10.x, because I don't have this problem on the same device and helmet on iOS 9.x. I sent the bug report to Apple with this description:

After some headphone output (jack 3, 5mm) at the moment does not work on iphone 6s 128GB, iOS 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 - no sound from the headset. Volume controls and MIC still works. When I make a call with the headset plugged and tapping on the microphone, I hear sound for headphone listening, but the others its not. No noise in other applications. Restart the temporary fix of the device this problem.
