• Lightroom import problems

  Hi guys!

  Been having bad last week, or so, with importing photos into Lightroom. I have a LOT of pictures, about 10.5 thousand, and try to import in Lightroom are problems of variables. The two big questions are this:

  1. I store all my photos into folders to organize them. When downloading, all records imported photos are not just duplicated, but the photos in the files are duplicated twice. Any ideas there?

  2. I name all my files that I save the photos in order to keep track of them. When a file starts uploading in Lightroom, it removes the name of the folder, which is a huge problem.

  Another minor point, sometimes import gets stuck, but I tell myself it's just because of the amount of pictures that I'm importing, restarting fixes everything.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. you probably import using the copy option while you should use the option Add

  2. you, the user, have complete control over the name of the records used

  I know you can find individual photos through finder but is there a quick way to import only the entire library

  As a complete Lightroom beginner how to import since the News Photos of Apple (not iPhoto) in Lightroom?  You said that there are no stupid questions.  I'm excited to get started with Lightroom.

  It is better to export Photos to OSX on the desktop versions or better still put them in standard Finder folders. Your versions will include any changes already made (not available in masters) and imported into LR duplicates will be completely separated, protect the library of Photos of corruption.

  You may be able to include IPTC metadata when exporting so that all of the keywords etc. imported.

  For the first time since buying the computer is mobile in 2012 iPhoto quit unexpectedly - an error report is generated which I send to Apple.

  In the popular experience, Apple is likely to respond to this error report that is will fixed the problem? Or should I try to study a solution myself?

  It is doubtful that Apple will answer in my humble OPINION, they do not meet the individual reports. Either way, iPhoto has been replaced by Photos for Mac app, which became available when Yosemite 10.10.3 was released. If you are interested in obtaining photos for Mac, then you will need to update to OS X, the latest version is not El Capitan 10.11.1

• Lightroom CC - problems with the adjustment brush and stain

  When you attempt to change a series of photos in the develop module I have problems with Lightroom gel. More precisely if I use the spot removal or adjustment brushes after two or three images, I find myself with a progress indicator of spinning at the bottom right of the image and the screen shows part of the image strong and part of the blurred image (as when loading an image is). It seems that no amount of waiting will lead to progress. All I can do is quit Lightroom and restart. But after a few images that the same thing is happening.

  If anyone else has experienced this?

  Try to disable the GPU acceleration

  Go to the preferences, click on the performance tab, uncheck the box

• Import Sony film Lightroom DC problem

  I am an experienced user of Lightroom CC on MacBook Pro running OS X El Capitan. I have no problem to import from my Canon DSLR and various models including G16 G.

  But I have problems with my new Sony RX10 III imports. The LR advanced import dialog box detects and any fixed images on the SDXC card. But he can't find or show one of the movies.

  As a solution, I can import files and search directories on the map. I found the movies under 'Private', as well as the JPG previews and still shots. But I lost my first days of shooting movies (I reformat the card in the device after successful import and backup.)

  Is there a way to tell LR to look in all the directories of the map when importing?

  I did some additional research and can confirm the problem on my end. To reproduce the bug, I set the video format Sony RX10 III to film "XAVC S". In this mode, the Sony camera will the MP4 in the/Private/M4ROOT/CLIP. Unfortunately, Apple Photos nor Lightroom app knows where to look XAVC S videos (in mode "Devices").

  The problem will be fixed in a future update of Lightroom. Thanks for your report.

  I shot an event and imported the photos to the newly installed Lightroom (I already use on another PC and Lightroom, it works fine).

  According to the "background color" (white, light grey, dark grey etc.) I have chosen, the image in the Center, where I apply all settings, change. And there is always this effect of weird color on it. You see, on the right, the image is displayed in the normal way.

  I use Lightroom CC (2015) on a PC. I use no presets.

  Someone of you has a solution to my problem or has had the same problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

  Disable the GPU in LR / Edit / Prefs / Performance - uncheck CPU graph use.

  I use mac os 10.10.5 and 6.5 of LR. When I opened after update, there are permission problem. And I can not change the permission because there is no adobe folder in my cache folder. I need help to solve this problem.

  You can either go for autonomous Lightroom 6 (one time purchase) or subscription of photography which includes Lightroom and Photoshop.

  Both would include the ability to import Aperture/iPhoto but not iPhoto.
