I have a few other books (which have already been printed), and their pictures were very good. In any case, I can restore the photos without having to recreate hours of work?  The pictures are still on my Mac. So frustrating!  Thank you for any advice and comments.

  I've updated my CC photoshop today, as I do normally and after the update, Lightroom was beautiful, but photoshop has been a gray icon. The version of photoshop that opens is a weird version without many features. I can't open my regular version of photoshop, as the computer find it anymore. I am very frustrated because I called customer service and they said that a technician would call in 2 hours. Its been 3 hours. I'm also worried that I have lost all my special presets, actions and brushes. Help, please!

  What's happened is that there is an advanced feature in your update where 'remove previous versions' is checked on by default.

  But in any case you are watered. Something custom is intact. Reinstall the previous versions.

• Beats Audio Volume indicator WENT after IDT HD Audio update!

  Just bought the HP Envy 17 t-3000 (Envy 17 model custom) and I updated all drivers through HP Support Manager.

  BEFORE the update, the Beats Audio worked fine...

  1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 3 seconds

  2 whirlwind indicator volume seems to display the volume level.

  AFTER the update, something changed the Beats Audio... had to re - install the latest driver from the HP Web site (even after the contact with HP Tech support chat and email several times)...

  1. press on the knob and the popup box appears about 10-12 seconds now!

  2 whirlwind indicator volume DISAPPEARED for volume level indicator is GONE

  Of course the sound works but NOW I do NOT know or remember the volume level whenever I listen to music.

  You can barely tell on the speaker icon to Windows on the toolbar since 2 sound waves indicate at least 50% of its level, but that's all!

  I have the software following and checked their settings and put everything to 50% and use the Beats Audio dial to control the volume when the programs are used:

  1 WinAmp

  2 VLC player

  3 MPC

  4 WMP

  No matter what I try, it appears that the Beats Audio Volume Control indicator Swirl is GONE! Worse still, there is NO Windows switch order volume at least don't let the open Volume mixer!

  Someone knows how to solve this problem and bring back the Audio Beats volume indicator?

  HP Tech support insists on doing a re clean - install of the operating system to its original state after suggesting to do reinstall partial of restore points. Already tried restore but points only some since there were MANY because of various updates and none brought the Volume indicator.

  Perform a total OS re - install would be the LAST attempt given I have to reinstall all the programs and updated ONCE again that would be laborious!

  Without knowing exactly which updates HP Support Assistant is installed, try the following first and let me know.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you are done, reboot the laptop and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Then, download and install HP display to the screen from following link.

  Once again, when the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  What is now working properly and what is not, or is there no change?

  I upgraded from Lion to El Capitan, slow but went well. Updated all of the Apps, IMovie etc., but IPhoto gave an error, even if this was bought as a package with the original Mac?

  Since this restart PC runs about 50% of the previous speed (checked before it went bananas and after with the same benchmarking tool). I changed operating systems and hard disks and system files and it is as slow as a turtle.

  So I decided to update the BIOS (I have done before with the 2.70 version and I have updated the EC/KBC by pressing the tab so) and the BIOS is ok, but the EC/KBC just beeps and won't be updated.

  So my friends I'm out of ideas. I spent a week online to search for a Transfer, but all they said is contact Toshiba support paartner or something. But I don't want to pay houndrets of books for the repair that the PC is not worth that much.

  Alternatevilly (my English is ekhem... Sorry) can I just replace the mobo with a different model and what model do I use as a machine of donors.

  Well, as far I know a beep and a message appears after successful update EC/KBC procedure. In addition, you will need to remove the power adapter and plug it back once more.

  Additionally, make sure that the DHCP and DNS services are running. Type of startup is set on "Automatic" and try to restart both services.

  Libraries to think big, but they share the storage for images and use less than the total size of the disk storage, see this support document:

  If you delete the old iPhoto library, you won't win a lot of rear storage. It is save to remove the iPhoto library, but I wanted to wait burn bridges.  Wait, are you sure that the migration went well and no pictures are missing.

  I can't start in safe mode - same thing happens, I can F8 and access a screen for repair.  I tried to go back to the last known good config and got the same results.  I ran the check disk and check options of memory and no problems (my first thought was that I had hardware problems).  From here, I can go out BACK and Explorer autour, I can run REGEDIT and some utilities.  I don't know about Vista savy - where search.

  I note that you are unable to boot to the desktop after installing updates on your computer. It's on a loop to reinstall and restart the computer. I notice that you are unable to boot into safe mode and last known good configuration.

  Please, try the following steps and check if you are able to boot to the desktop.

  Restart the computer and keep tapping F8, repair access screen. On the option repair the System Restore option. Restore the computer to the date when it was working very well (preferably a day earlier on the day that this problem occurred). Once the system restore is complete, boot to the desktop in Normal mode.
