Ipod and Itunes synchronization

Hi - I ripped out all WMP by my CD drive external HARD, with the format of the ALAC. I then added as an iTunes library. Synchronization attempt 4330 songs on my iPod 64 GB Touch tells me that I have 50 GB larger memory. Is there a way to add my songs of the ALAC to iTunes so that I can get all 4330 songs on my iPod?

Not really because the ALAC is not compressed as much and so the file size of each file is much larger than the ACC, and you can change the compression used for VAC during synchronization

Hello I recently helped someone with his powerbook from 2006.

He has a small ipod and wants to get music on this subject. He's already got a lot, but when you plug in the ipod it looks like a USB key with nothing in it except 4 songs, it moves from itunes.

ITunes opens directly when pluggin the ipod, but there is no music library, one inside, that the ipod does not appear and look like empty

Someone has an idea of what goes wrong?

    Thank you

It looks like a USB key with nothing in it except 4 songs, it moves from itunes.

If you can see songs on iPod using Finderrecords, music files are just "random" files that have been manually added to the iPod in disk mode.  The iPod software does not treat them as songs.

Songs are loaded onto the iPod using iTunes.  What version of iTunes it works?  It says 'Mac OS X (10.7.5)' in your profile information, but maybe it's not HIS version, because a PowerBook can only run 10.5.8 (at the latest), unless it's a mistake, it's actually a MacBook (Intel processor).  In both cases, this could mean that the iTunes version is not the latest version 12.x, which is a little different from earlier versions.

I can provide more details, once you confirm the version of iTunes, but to summarize, the first step is to add songs to iTunes library.  Once the songs he wants on the iPod in the Mac iTunes library, it can load songs manually by dragging songs from the iTunes music library to the iPod (as it appears in iTunes).  OR, it can set up Auto Sync to iTunes keep the iPod "in phase" with the Mac iTunes music library (or a selected part of it).

  • IPod and itunes external drive

My itunes music is stored on an external drive, but when I open itunes I get a list of files to "MyMachine" which is a lot less the 'account' my external drive - I think that somewhere there must be an old file pointing to MyComputer?

I removed itunes and reinstalled but it has not solved the problem

This causes a problem when I try to sync my Ipod because for some reason I can't synchronize with the external hard drive

Anyone else had this problem, or even better a solution?

Upgrade to 12.3.2.35 on Windows 7. It worked for about 10 minutes before everything started continuous crashing and apparently broke my iPod classic 5th gen. Now, no version of iTunes will work on my computer and my iPod think there nothing about this (while the investigation of my computer still shows 30 GB in use), and will not even try to sync. Help please!

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

  • problems updating iPod Touch iTunes sync and lists 9.3.2,and playback on the iPod

I updated the iPod touch and iTunes and as a first step, I lost all my library because the update iTunes but that is fixed, I had back ups. But when I synced my iPod touch, I had to delete and synchronize the contents of my iPod which has ruined all my playlists in iTunes in sync because the iPod could synchronize only half of the songs because of the error 54. Who sets, restarted the laptop and iPod but because of this, the iTunes playlist had the sync iPod songs. Fixed by re sync several times, I'm always short 4 songs on my iPod to my main playlist but some songs that appear on the iPod do not play, I can choose them but they do not play then shows no played piece. When I get a song to the playlist which works module to the top next just shows that the song only, even if it has been selected by the Shuffle Playlist button. Also some songs on the iPod is not the correct album cover, I'm guessing because of error 54 *, and these songs are often unplayable. All right back on iTunes is just the iPod for now.

The following steps below should fix things, assuming that all the content you want in your library.

(If it is not see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device).

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

IPod Nano 7th gen... podcasts don't sync to itunes. synchronization for podcast is on... im confused. THX!

When you say "synchronization for podcast is on", have you done the following...?  Select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click Podcasts.  Right, Podcasts from iPod settings screen.  If the checkbox for synchronize Podcasts is not checked, check it.  Activates the automatic synchronization of podcasts.  Set up this form as you wish, to tell how to synchronize episodes of the podcast to iTunes and click apply.

If sync Podcasts has been already verified, describe how you have the rest of the screen of the iPod Podcasts settings put in place (or include a screenshot of it).

  • IPod Classic (and iTunes library) from Windows to Mac

Hey ppl, can someone help me with this one?
My iPod Classic was initially connected to a PC, because I didn't have a Mac at the time. But I an and for a long time, and now I'm about to get a second.
I was put in place with the PC mostly because my iTunes library has nearly 500 stored cd and I use my iMac only for work, I didn't want to fill his 500 GB drive with iTunes library. But now that I'm about to take my work to a new Mac, I thought that it was time to move my iTunes library to Mac, and I did it with the help of an external hard drive.

Now, everything is ok with iTunes on Mac all the CDs and the works of art and library moved nicely.

But when I connected the iPod it syncs ok, but does not receive a new cd that I just uploaded on the Mac.

I have noticed that an already existing CD which I modified the work on the Mac, sync ok for the iPod, but not the new CD. The CD is an original, not a copy.
I think it has to do with the iPod having been registered to another computer. I allow them the Mac, but still the CD is not transferred to the iPod.
I want to get rid of my PC, but I need the iPod to work with the Mac.
Can someone tell me what I'm missing, or doing wrong?
    Thank you

I had checked the discussions over and over again before posting the question and do not find an answer, and now after posting the question, I found what solved my problem - iPod sync fine with the Mac. (to goodbye PC)

"Kenichi Watanabe 26 February 2016 06:04 Re: Ipod connects to itunes, but does not synchronize "
    in reply to Umphreys21

OK, that's fine.  So, just what is currently on the iPod is already in your new library iTunes, correct?

When you start with a new iTunes library and add your existing content, the iPod sees it as a new iTunes library, not the old one that was previously used to synchronize the iPod.  The partners from iPod to your new iTunes library and the Tower WE Auto Sync, follow these steps...

Select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to display the parameters of the iPod in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Settings of music from the iPod screen is shown at right.

NOTE: All iPod songs that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Check the box to Sync music.  This turns ON Auto Sync (and associate the iPod to your new iTunes library).  If your library complete iTunes music can fit on iPod, choose the option to synchronize the entire music library.  Click apply.

On a separate note, since you started with a new iTunes library, you have added all your content to your backup, but you probably do not have the additional data (such as playlists, ratings, play head, date added, etc.).  Depending on how you have saved your iTunes data, it may be possible to restore your full (not only your media) iTunes library.  You need to be good with the help of your new iTunes library, but if you want more information, thanks for posting back. »

  • How to add and remove songs to a 2nd ipod in iTunes

I have a 2nd ipod connected to my iTunes account however I'm having trouble to add and remove songs on this 2nd ipod.

FAQ says simply drag a song from the list of music on the playlist to add and song highlight and press Delete to delete however by dragging the song more did not work and I can't find a tab delete when I select a song to remove.

Thanks for any help and advice.

Select the relevant tracks, and then press delete or Backspace should be used to remove the device.

If files slipped and dropped to this topic does not transfer so it may be best to restore the device, then recharge it. In practice, making lists of reading with the content you want to sync to each device and then synchronize each device with its corresponding list may be easier to manage manually.

  • How can I manually add songs on my Ipod via Itunes and keep my apple music songs too?

    Hello

I am a music producer and I had trouble manual addition of my songs on my Ipod. I looked everywhere online for an answer and I can't find one. When I try to drag and drop my songs on my IPod in Itunes it gives me the image on my mouse in saying he will add it, but it doesn't do anything when I drop.

Several online forums supposed to go into the settings of my Ipod and check "Icloud Music Library". but I have an account of appple music and don't want to lose my music, I downloaded there, which is what tells me my Ipod is going to happen.

I am looking for a way to have my Apple music and manually add music on my Ipod even.

    Thank you

    Caleb

If you enable the Apple music on any content already on device can be merged with your Apple's music library. To add more songs to the device, add them to your library, and then download them to the device. You may not transfer directly from iTunes, but you should still be able to add one of your songs.
