Problem of IE11 - keyboard. Press a button gives me other characters-not that I pressed.

When you use Internet explore my keyboard does not work properly. I can push any key and it will give me something else I press. It is the only program on my computer that is performed in this way. Ive tried closing all add ons - I have reset it - Ive searched my computer for malware & virus. I had to start using Google Chrome as my default browser. Someone at - it a new suggestion?

[Original title: Internet Explorer 11]

I ran MSCONFIG. Constant guard was not in the list. He did not work in the mode without modules. When I ran the computer in Safe Mode IT worked

The result of Safe Mode tells you that a startup program, probably a third-party program, is the source of the problem.

Clean clean boot, where you use MSCONFIG to disable the programs should help you to identify the troublesome program.

  • Problem of annoying keyboard typing wrong characters

Sometimes when typing my email address instead of the ' @' sign contained a double ' sign appears and it is impossible to get my keyboard to give me the correct sign. I tried to turn the caps on and then turn off; using the SHIFT key. and many other hit but have to close on the web, in total, which is frustrating to say the least. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Thanks for your help

This is the region for the keyboard setting and has nothing to do with the shift keys.

The "key and the @ key are in different positions in different international keyboards."  Similarly, the result of the use of shift with the 3 button gives different results in different regions.

The solution is simple and is also easy.  Just follow the steps precisely.

Control Panel, tab language, region, keyboard & languages, change keyboards, services installed, select the keyboard so that the word "keyboard" is highlighted, click on Add..., find the country the keyboard was bought for, expand the list, so you can see check boxes of the options available, tick one of these boxes.  Press OK. Now select the unwanted country setting that was in the list before hand and remove [you could not do this before or you would have nothing to say the keyboard how to behave while you were doing the rest of the procedure].  Press OK twice.

    Comprehensive work.

  • S205 - problem with the keyboard (right shift key)

    Hello.

Google couldn't really help me, so I try my luck here

Two days ago, I met a rather strange problem with the keyboard of my S205 (running Win7 64 bit). For some reason any the right shift key is no longer works as a shift key, but it has the same function as "Alt Gr" key on the right side. FYI: German keyboard. For example, the @ is on the same key as the Q here and normally I have press the AltGr key to type a @. Now the same thing with the right shift key.

I tried a couple of things already, none of them helped. I have accidentally changed the layout of the keyboard, checked once again in the Control Panel, everything is OK here. No Fn - keys are activated. I tried to plug in an external USB keyboard - on that one, the shift key works fine. The right shift key is the only key that does not work properly. I even tried the keyboard on the screen so I could see which key was pressed when I pressed the SHIFT key and she showed the "Alt Gr" - button is pressed.

I am open to any suggestion. Thank you

In case someone might have the same problem - unfortunately I don't have a solution. He solved somehow itself a few months later. Really strange thing, but the key is working again.

  • Problems with the keyboard does not

I am on windows 7 and for a week, my keyboard does not work. some of the keys do not work. p, return, tab key, and a few others do not work. My on-screen keyboard works fine - except for the question mark-. I tried the drivers, and the computer says that it has the best drivers so no need to update. I don't know where it came from, but then, after an update of windows, my keyboard is back to normal. It worked fine for three days and then, once again, he screw up. It's always the same keys that don't work, so I don't think that my keyboard is worn. my computer is only a year. It's a computer laptop sony vaio. whenever I press the p key, for example, the Start button - a physics - flashes. same thing for the other buttons. When I press the return key, the Start button flashes.

in the bios, the keys do not work either.

    can anyone help

Get a cheap USB keyboard and see if it works.  You can buy those cheap for $10 or less.  The fact that the keyboard does not work in the BIOS means is not a Windows problem.

    Good luck.

  • Problem with the keyboard?

    Hello world...

I have a problem that becomes serious with my 4 years old Satellite: 2 keys became non-responsive (most of the time). So, please, forgive what looks like typing!

Frst supposed that there is little to dust under the keys and I decided to clean... but which looks much more serious: the rubber tip that makes the key - top pop upward, but also seems to transmit pressure to any sensor is below cracked! I guess this is the reason why my keys have become desensitized. See photo:

    http://myWeb.tiscali.co.UK/bmdtran/keyboard.jpg

Now, I take good care of my beloved Satellite and is rather shockng that this problem can occur after a relatively short life. A that someone has experienced this problem? Someone at - it advice for me?

    Thanks in advance...

    Bruno

    Hello

In my view, four years is a very good time with no problems, and if one or two buttons doesn't work properly I don't see it as something essential. Nothing can work forever.

Back to your question: problem is that the repair of simple buttons is usually not possible and in those cases, the entire keyboard needs to be replaced. I can't imagine that the keyboard costs a lot of money. Believe me, the replacement of keyboard is not complicated and you can do it alone. You can also check ebay and buy a used one.

  • keyboard seems to be faulty in msn, messenger, hotmail, but works in other applications well, that someone else has had this problem?

Hello, I have problems with my keyboard, but only in some programs, such as windows live messenger, hotmail, when sending emails mainly. It seems to work ok in most other programs, so I guess it's not a keyboard error real but maybe a driver issue? any help or advice would be appreciated, it would probably be preferable to mention now that I'm not very computer and it would be better to keep it as simple as possible, so I do not overheat and possibly malfunction myself :) Thank you for reading this any help appreciated.

    swellgeeza,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

It would be useful to know exactly what type of dysfunction, you meet be better able to help you.
You are not able to use the keyboard at all, it's set up keys wrong, repeating keys, error messages, etc.. ?  Without this information we don't really know where to start to fix this problem.  Here are some general things to check.

If it is a USB keyboard, try to plug it into another USB port on the computer.
Try to remove the keyboard from the Device Manager, and then restart the computer to reinstall Vista.
Try to run the System File Checker:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

If it is a recent problem, try to do a system restore to a point in time before the problem appeared.
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Problem with a keyboard and a numeric keypad "Fn".

    Hello

I have been using my keyboard to laptop for a while and I have got used to the layout. The laptop keyboard has a numpad integrated (on the letters 'jkluio789') and it works when the locking digital led is on and I hold down the 'Fn' key When I touch "Fn" and keep NumLock enabled, it lets you type regular letters. This function is very useful for me.
I recently bought a new keyboard USB Genius LuxeMate i200 with a very similar layout, but the effect of the 'Fn' key is quite opposite. When locking digital led is on and 'Fn' key is pressed it type normal instead of numbers letters, if I release "Fn", he types numbers. If NUMLOCK is off, he wrote regular letters, but is not responding when I press the "Fn".
Surprisingly everything worked normally on Ubuntu 12.04 with Awesome WM (on the same machine, of course).
I consider it related problem with Windows drivers. I would be very happy if someone could help me. Furthermore, I use Win7 Professional 64-bit.
    Thank you!!!

Function keys on a laptop are available/used under this computer keyboard driver laptop manufacturers. Win7 itself does not provide for this

  • How to avoid the focus problem when browsing via browser back button

    Hello

I am facing a problem in setting focus on the buttons.
    Please see application: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=47869:2

    login details:
    Workspace: vsanthanam
    user: vijay
    PSWD: apex_demo

In this application, I have 2 pages.
    #2 has the "submit" button
Page no. 3 contains the Cancel button

The two buttons are basic HTML and can be accessed using access key ALT + s and ALT + c.

    The problem is:
When I go back to the previous page (pgid #2) of the application using back button of the browser pgid IE #3.
due to the onFocus event located in the button "submit", control returns to pgid #3.

Is there a possible way to set the focus to other elements. so that whenever IE brower back button, application would stay in
    page #2.

    I took approaches:
    -------------------------
If we use onclick, onfocus instead and then the problem remains because we have onfocus = "this.click (); in equipping the Accesskey.
Another way is onKeyup event. If we use onKeyup, we can avoid this browser back problem, but disappears from the access keys functions.

Pointers on this would be a great help.

    Thank you very much
    -Vijay

PLEASE NOTE: I have created intentionally two buttons on each page. It is necessary to have HTML buttons with the key features of access,
otherwise application gives a few flaws in HTML accesskey.

    Hi Vijay,

Crikey, aren't annoying browsers! It took a while to get out, but I've updated your SUBMIT1 button attributes:

    class="t20Button" AccessKey="s" tabindex="-1" onclick="javascript:this.blur();doSubmit('SUBMIT1');" onfocus="javascript:this.blur();doSubmit('SUBMIT1');"

Note that I removed the spare semicolons you after each attribute - these are only required in javascript code.

The important point to note are the statements of "this.blur" () - this tells the browser to move away from the current item to the next. On your page, only for this purpose, I have added a text element of Temp - I am assuming that your actual page will have at least one other element on the page that will accept the focus? Everything gets focus of the call "this.blur ()", should be the element with focus when the Back button is used.

  • Strange problem with the keyboard

    Hello.
I have problem with my keyboard. It works with delays. I don't know how to fix it.

    Hello

What do you mean by working with delays?
As far as I know, you can change the keyboard settings in the keyboard properties.
Also, if you think that it s not a fault or parameters of software problem but hardware malfunction, you can try to contact the service agent.
But before you contact the ASP you should recover the operating system.

Reclassification of Viata W7 HP HP; Viata in Spanish 7 in English, incompatibility in the transfer of WindowsEasy. Incredible also, in its regional, my country Venezuela is not so I now have problems in the keyboard language and the motto puntuation.

Thanks for your reply but I've solved the upgrade Viata HP to W7 HP Viata in Spanish. Took a lot of effort but is workig now. My major concern is on the regional setting: my country is Venezuela and this is probably the only country that is missing from the long long list so I now have problems in the keyboard language and the motto puntuation. This has nothing to do with the Home Premium edition or full, I think it's just an incredible mistake. How can this be repaired? MS will have remedies this problem and probably to publish an update to fix this problem. Thank you again and hope that this question goes to MS. looks.

    ·         Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

    ·         Dose the problem occur on any particular application or Assembly?

    ·         Have you tried to connect check and different keyboard if you are faced with a similar question?

    ·         Do you use the computer laptop or desktop?

    ·         You use wired or wireless keyboard?

Try to clean your keyboard and check if the problem persists. You might have a particle or a sticky substance that is causing the keys to stick and comes all the way to the top. You may wish to run a slightly damp cloth or a q-tip between keys.

    Method 1:

I would suggest trying to use the screen keyboard and check if you are facing a similar question.

    To open on-screen keyboard,

    (c) and then click on-screen keyboard.
