Hi Newby007,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers

You will not be able to synchronize iPod with Windows media player or copy songs from the ipod to the computer.

You can synchronize ipod using itunes only.

  • Windows media player syncs with USB

My windows with my USB drive automatically media Player syncs.

How to stop what is happening to the form?

I opened WMP and there is nothing in the sync menu drop down.

    homicide on Thursday

What type of USB key?  What is a flash drive?  What is the manufacturer, brand and model?  Some flash drives launch synchronization on their own without settings in Media player using only an Autorun feature - but I need to know what car I take care as there are hundreds of ads for many, many different readers.  It should be possible to disable the 'function' in the flash player (although I do not know how at the moment as it varies from one model to and depends of what software was loaded and which AutoPlay functions have been activated).

I do not have it this is a problem with WMP, but with the player - but we'll see.

Thank you and I look forward to your reply with answers so we can try to understand what is happening (and why) and how to stop it.

  • Windows Media Player 11 help

    Hi all

I was wondering if someone out there could help with a problem I'm having with my Windows Player 11. It was working fine until yesterday, but now my media player used to connect to internet radio streams that I used to connect to front. It came up with error code (C00D1199). I looked online and see this is a very common mistake, so tried what a lot of talk on the web, but there is that I can not play any streaming audio radio. I tried a system restore, modify the settings of WMP, (checked the Player connects to the internet parameter), the firewall settings, but still no luck. The last update on my laptop was the beginning of last month, so don't think that this he affected because there is no mention of an update of media player.

Stream news I listen to are:

Connect your phone to your computer via a usb cable
and turn it on. Or... Remove the memory card from the
phone, insert it into an adapter and insert the adapter
in the slot appropriate in external or internal media
    drive.

If AutoPlay does not start and give download options it...

Reach... Start / computer / removable devices
    Storage...

Look at the drive letters and see if one of them
represents the cell phone. He can say removable disk.
(a media player can be represented with several
drive letters, you will have to choose one
    represents the memory card)

If the mobile phone is recognized... right click on the drive letter
and from the menu choose... Open or explore.

The memory card in the phone directory should
poster and if you browse through the various
files, you need to find the media files.

Once found, you can copy media files to a folder
    on your hard drive.

  • iPod nano doesn't sync computer in windows 10, all updates to iTunes available were carried out.

Have done all updates for iTunes (latest version), reinstalled the drivers, etc.  Nano Gen 7 will not be synchronized in windows 10.  Must use windows 7 computer to synchronize with the Nano and then use iCloud for around windows 10.  When I try to update the Apple drivers, windows 10 says I have the latest drivers installed and will not do anything else.

Is the mark with 10 Windows or Apple?  Whatever it is, is there a cure for this problem?

The iPod appears in iTunes, but does not synchronize?  Or is the problem that you are unable to synchronize because the iPod does not appear in iTunes?

  • can I sync music from my windws media player for my ipod nano 4 GB. When I press sync. Player is not my camera still recording, it is compatible

I am trying to sync music on my ipod and it is compatible but my media player has not listed it as a timing device.  It is recognized in the computer and peripheral but not in media player. Help, please

    Hello

I suggest you follow the steps below to synchronize your Ipod Nano with Windows Media Player 11.

    1. start Windows Vista. You need to have administrator privileges in order to synchronize your iPod, only access to the shared folder on the computer (by default, every account has access to the shared folder).

    2. connect your iPod to your computer using the supplied USB cable. If your iPod has not already been recognized as a device in the system, recognition will be held at the moment (requiring the installation of the drivers and software components that are necessary in order to recognize your iPod).

    3. place the music files you want to synchronize with your iPod in the shared folder. You can also place your music in a folder within the shared folder (for example, a 'My music' folder).

    4. open Sync Center by clicking on the "Start" menu followed by "All programs", "Accessories", then "Sync Center".

5 set up a calendar for your iPod to be synchronized or simply choose "Sync" in the file menu to start a manual synchronization. This will automatically update your iPod with the latest music from the shared folder.

    6. sync your iPod by using a double sync method, which will avoid any loss of data on the iPod as well as download the music from your iPod to your Sync Center, you can listen on your computer as well.

If you want to synchronize the Ipod Nano with iTunes, you can follow the instructions as shown in the link below.

For most MP3 players that can and will be able to be synced to WMP.

Set the MP3 MTP Mode for WMP sync - mode MSC to treat the MP3 as a reader.

Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC which should allow the player to be used as an external drive

Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.

    Hi Rebeni,

This is what iTunes installed on your computer?

IPod is designed to be used with iTunes. Windows media player cannot sync with iPod shuffle, you must install the plugin for windows media player sync with iPod to third party.

NOTE: Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be resolved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Check if the iPod shuffle is getting recognized in Device Manager.

    i. click Startand then click run.

II. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Open the Device Manager window.

III. in the Device Manager search for the name of the device

    Go back with the results.
