iPod Touch 6 apparently ignorant button / stop

I have an iPod Touch 6th generation who, tonight, didn't gave me no problems at all. I got it since the day of release. Then I used it for a bit, went out as usual, and it does not respond to the power button at all.

A soft reboot was of course not possible, because it requires to respond to the power button.

I tried a reset of the parameters, which did not fix the problem.

iOS is updated (9.2), and I haven't installed any apps, not changed no settings, or in fact has nothing except play Neko Atsume for a few minutes, between when it worked (earlier this evening) and now.

I'm getting a bad feeling that it is a hardware problem.

What should be my next step?

-Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

-Restore factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at an Apple store Genius Bar because it appears that you have a hardware problem. If defective and not abused Apple will exchange it free of charge

My power button doesn't work.  I know how to turn my iPod touch 4G (ios 6.1.6) using the help key, but what I want to know is if I can turn on the iPod while plugging it.  I know when the battery dies him plugging it turns back on, but I have not tried after that I turned it off.   I would just try this, but today, I'm not able to repair or replace.  So I want to make sure that it will work before as I did try.

(I know that I can turn by resetting the network it works, but then I have to retype my password.)  I hope I can just stop, and then plug it in.  But just want to be sure.)

    Thank you.

  • iPod Touch 6th Gen Home button

    Hi all

So I bought a new iPod Touch 6th generation. The Home button has been simply insensitive requiring a heavy click to do anything. Too strong and I would like to invoke Siri. I had to press in the exact Center.

Apple replaced just that far unfortunately this replacement too is faced with the same problems. Be disabled I do not press hard and light clicks are / have never had a problem with my iPod Touch 5th generation or 3 iPad.

So I'll call Apple again, I check with other owners in case of sensitivity of the button Home has been changed.

    See you soon.

I had a 6th gen for a year or so and not noticed who need additional pressure on the home button.

  • Is there a good glad that will work with an ipod touch 5?

My device is an iPod Touch 5 G with 32 gigabytes of storage. I have looked in the app store and all the good ad blockers will not work with an iPod Touch 5! And safari stopped correctly all of a sudden loading of pages. Any ideas?

Weblock should work. I'be used on mine

It manages your connection through a proxy, so if you are on a connection that does not allow that (my work blocks the proxies) then you can have problems, but the app even blocks in the app announcements

  • The special design of stylesheets for iPod Touch/phone

Some of my website designs include Flash banners at the top of each page - these headers have been built using the 'Active Slideshow Pro' extension with overlays of swf.

For these sites, I created alternative stylesheets for handheld devices, which do not include Flash headers and works well. However, when you visit these websites on my iPod Touch, these pocket style sheets do not apply - instead, iPhone and iPod Touch devices apparently get the screen media type.

As you know all (at the moment anyway) Flash does not work on the iPod Touch or iPhone (unless you use a bookmark ipod.videohamster.com, a complicated system that I don't want to have to ask the visitors of the site to understand!). So on these sites, the Flash header appears simply as an empty object on the screen indicating a small icon "cube".

I would like to create a new style sheet, or include in perhaps the current screen stylesheet a header replacement for the iPod Touch (which would be a simple static image). I have looked on the internet but can't seem to find a description on how to do it. I'm sure there must be one - can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance!

    Heya,

Try the following script. The credit goes to Chris Bailey I made a few changes if it would validate. Replace your page for users of the iphone - URL.com.

  • When you use Itunes on my Ipod Touch 5 generation, the Ipod is no longer automatically past from one song to another. This seems to be a novelty. There is a button on the RIGHT side of the upper third of the screen where you can choose options but go n0.

When you use ITunes on my Ipod Touch 5 Gen, running IOS 9.2, he has recently stopped automatically switch a song on one album to another while listening to ITunes. I discovered a button with 3 points to the RIGHT side of each title of the song which, when typed gives a different options for example then played, add up to the next etc.. If you use these all this seems to get worse with more choices that appear. I know that sounds incredible, but I have owned several Ipods that I use just for listening to music. Mine is a 32 GB version that can store a large number of albums, most of which I bought and loaded into my Ipod. A few albums that I downloaded from ITunes. How can I get it from my Ipod to listen to music in the ITunes application without having to select one of the 55 options?

  • Can I get on my iPod Touch home button 6 gnraton set

Hi I can the home button on my iPod Touch 6th generation fixed

Since this is a new device and you still have a free year of AppleCare, you can bring your 6th generation iPod Touch in an Apple Store and they can give you a new, replacement of 6th gen iPod, as Apple does not solve iDevices in stores.

If you have had this iPod for less than 90 days, consider applying to AppleCare extended, which will give you an extra year of warranty.

With iDevices, Apple only gives you 90 days after purchase to do this.

    Good luck!

  • Just updated to ios 9 and my ipod touch is stuck at 'update of the iCloud parameters.  I can not restore from iTunes as I have to disable 'find my iPod toch' and cannot do the iPod is blocked with the message to update.  Will not work force a stop down.

Just updated to ios 9.2 (from 8 something) and my ipod touch is stuck at 'update of the iCloud parameters.  I can not restore from iTunes because I have to disable "Find my iPod touch" first of all, and I can't do as the iPod is blocked with the message to update.  Forcing a stop down does not work that for some reason, I am unable to turn off my iPod touch manually.  I tried to turn off my wifi to see if that stops the iPod touch, but he always keeps on the message to iCloud.  Do I just wait until the battery sinks so that it forces a reboot?

Place your iOS device into Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

iOS: I forgot the password or disabled device

If the recovery mode does not work, try the DFU mode.

How to put iPod touch / iPhone in DFU "Karthik doodles."

    To learn how to restore:

    iTunes: restore iOS software

    To restore backup see:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

If you restore from a backup of iCloud apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from backup iTunes, applications and music must be in iTunes since synchronized as music media library and apps are not included in the backup of the iOS device what iTunes does.

You can re-download most of iTunes purchases by:

Download after purchase from the App Store and iTunes Store iBookstore

If no problem what happens or doesn't happen, and when in the instructions? When you get the iPod into recovery successfully mode and connect to iTunes on the computer should say that it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • How to stop itunes from Auto-filling of music on my ipod touch

How can I prevent itunes AutoFill music on my ipod touch unwanted 5 without having to delete songs or hide the songs (the ones I bought from the iTunes Store) my library on itunes (Windows)? I think that the songs that continue to if autofilled on my ipod are the ones I bought in the store. I didn't hide them in my library, I want to hear them more later to see if I want to add later, but I got fed up and did exactly that.  I will not hide from my library is because I want to be able to see without having to connect to my apple account in the itunes store, to see what songs I bought but have 'hidden' from my library or deleted the download of the.

I have no music sync checked, however, whenever I plug my ipod into my computer, music always synchronizes on my ipod.  I don't have the option to automatically download the songs I purchased on iTunes store checked.  I usually manually delete each of the songs, but I'm tired of having to do so.

I just tried to erase my ipod first of music, including those I wanted to keep, but I came across the problem where they would not disappear, even after reset everything on my ipod touch. I had to manually delete all (before doing so, I did what I do always when running in auto-fill issue - delete music in data storage settings manage, which works normally, but this time he did not).

I'm really starting to hate Itunes because of this auto-fill problem.

I'm on Windows and iTunes 11, for what it's worth, but I think it should work even if you have a slightly different version.

Before you plug in your iPod, go to the menu small case in the upper left corner of iTunes (or if you have the menu bar visible, click on change). Select Preferences, go to devices in the pop-up window, and check the box that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads of automatic synchronization. Click on low OK.at of the pop-up window.

This should solve the problem. Worked for me anyway (I am like you and prefer to manually manage all my stuff).
