  For your signature to Tunnel HTTP CONNECT, you have several choices;

  You can go to Site > Manage Sites > export to create files .ste with your settings to be imported into the new version of the site. This way your info ftp and other site specific parameters will meet instantly, rather than having to create new definitions of site by hand.

  Other that that, there really nothing that needs to be done for CC to understand your old files.

  When installing CC, make sure you click on the advanced settings in the Installer link and disable "Remove older Versions". You can easily have CS5 and installed CC at the same time to make the transition less sharp. There are some pretty big changes between CS5 and CC can take you awhile to get under your belt. Have the old version will allow you to continue to work with something that you know while you do the adjustment with the new software.

  CC has more Spry example, if whatever it is done using the framework Spry will no longer offer that you dialogue windows when you want to change. You will need to either open the old program or switch to the jQuery version (if it is available in the DW interface).   The model number you gave is not listed with HP.

  (1) upgrade memory is not a problem.

  (2) the Office DVD (and CD) readers are all 5.25 "drives.

  (3) think you that your hard disk is the disk SATA 3 GB/s?   New disks STAT / 3 GB/s are usually 32 MB of cache. A naked player is all you need for a replacement. The cache is a function of early reading and 32 is better than 16.

• Software v4.1 IDS will work on IPS-4200 appliances?

  I understand that the software Cisco IPS 5.0 will run on devices of series IDS-4200 (e.g. - IDS-4235).

  Is the reverse true? I can't Cisco IDS 4.1 to run on an IPS-4240 or an IPS-4255?

  Just curious, since I was maybe having to answer the question in house soon...

  Yes, the 4.1 software runs the 4240/4255.

• ASA-SSM-20/40 IPS Software upgrade quesiton

  I'm looking to upgrade the IPS modules (ASA-SSM-20 and ASA-SSM-40) on two different ASA to ver 7.1 (11) E4 under this field notice:

  My question is around if traffic through the firewall is affected during this update and subsequent restart of the IPS module.

  On the ASAs, a service policy is in place that will allow the traffic in the case where the IPS module becomes unavailable.  It comes, it will actually happen during the update?

  Suggestions and comments are welcome.

  If your IPS is inline and as a whole do not open then the traffic through the ASA (in assuming an ASA standalone and do not form part of a pair of HA) will not be affected when the service IPS module reload.

  If an SAA is in a pair of HA and a service (ips, cxsc, or sfr) module fails, it will be by default triggers a failover event. (ASA 9.5 introduces the possibility to change this behavior.) The result is the same - no service interruption (Although TCP connections may need to restore if you have not configured stateful failover).

• Cisco IPS 4200 Signature Update

  We are currently under evaluation and implementation of the Cisco IPS solution to our security needs.

  Our supplier has said that the signature 'online' updates to Cisco IPS is not possible - this is a manual process and we need to charge the device if you want to update the files.

  Somehow, it defies logic. Surely, I think, that any IP address should have the possibility of obtaining signatures updated "online".

  I apologize, because that question is too basic in nature. But could someone shed more light on this?

  You have auto update functionality of Cisco IPS version 6.0, take a look at the attached picture.

  Update of signatures is * recommended * that you reload the signatures (restart the sensor), although this is not mandatory.

  Upgrading a module version 7.0000 E4 to of 6,0000 E4 everything went well.

  However, the other returned the following error when you try to upgrade the image and recovery partition:

  -cisco ips update cancelled because another upgrade or downgrade is underway

  The firewall that I intend to do the upgrade is passive.

  Firmware ASA: v9.1.1.

  Search Internet and this forum.

• Moving hosts to new vCenter and retaining current licences for guests

  I need to upgrade an environment vSphere 4.1 to 5.1u1. I plan to install a clean vCenter 5.1 and need to migrate hosts without interruption to the virtual machines. The way to remove the old vCenter may not be because it requires the host mode maintenance and VMs to be evacuated. What plan do is disconnect from the host and have the new vCenter appropriated. I will then possibly incoming days guests through VUM to 5.1u1.

  My question is when the new vCenter appropriates the hosts what will happen to the licensing of 4.1 esx/esxi hosts? Will be the current 4.1 esx/esxi licenses follow the hosts or will I have to add the esx/esxi through the client license? The new vCenter will be installed in trial mode until licenses can be provided for me.

  A second question is when the esxi hosts are upgrading to 5.1 and I did not upgrade licenses will guests enter a grace period until a license can be applied? I don't know how long the hosts were in trial mode, before 4.1 licenses applied so I assume every 60 days were used.

  With adding hosts to the new vCenter Server, the license key from the host server will be added to the repository of the vCenter Server license; Even if this is not the case you could simply add the current license key to the new vCenter Server manually. Just make sure that you do not use more CPU that purchased licenses.

  Once you upgrade the host, make sure you have the new license keys already available. As much as I know there is no evaluation period additional to the hosts upgraded who were running older versions of 60 days. The grace period of 14 days you mentioned applied to versions in ESX 3.x used FlexLM licenses (i.e. license files).

  Once you install the new version, Lightroom automatically detects the default Lightroom Catalog and modernize it so that it can be used in the most recent version.
