Is 11g database with 11g SGD 12 c support agent?

Hello

My database of database version is 12.1.0.2. Is it possible to set up 12 c to database with the agent of 11g + 11 g SGD?

Is any matrix available for this?

Thank you

Arul

Yes, the certification on my oracle support tab lists the combinations.  12 c OEM is the only option for 12 c of database.

  • Adjust the data in the database with the variables

    Hello

    For my internship, I have an assignment to read and set a database with the variables. This SQL server 2005 database contains variables of a controller. These are read and write variables. The assignment is to display the read variables and the user can adjust the variables of Scripture. The first part was "easy" because the forum contained a lot of examples of this. The second part is more difficult because the forum contains absolutely no example of this. Can I use LabVIEW 2010 and 2011, and also I downloaded the 30 day trial of the database connection tool. If it's useful, I can recommend my company to buy this package. Playback vi makes use of a UDL (Microsoft data link) connection.

    So you guys my question is: is it possible to adjust the specific variables in a database using LabVIEW? And maybe you can give me a little advice on this topic...

    Thanks in advance!

    Roy

    In SQL, the specific data are always selected with the keyword WHERE. In VI to update there is a link for options, you can for example add a constant 'WHERE id = 1457 and measure > 0.54 ".

    You can ofc. also build this chain through controls, settings and other means.

    If you prefer, you can use the Execute Query (under Advanced tab I think) to which you can send the complete query example "TestTable Update set name ="Zeus"where id > 14 and id.<>

  • Different databases with the same name in 1 cluster?

    Hello classmates of dba,.

    I wish to discuss with you the following situation:

    We have a 4 RAC Cluster node.

    Databases node 1 and 2 contain the 11.2.0.3 (Enterprise Edition)

    Databases node 3 and 4 contain 11.2.0.4 (Standard edition)

    12.1 GI on all nodes and all are part of the 1 cluster.

    OS: Oracle Linux 6.5 (with + ASM)

    Our company wants to migrate databases EE 1 and 2 to 3 and 4 nodes node:

    -Downgrade of EA to itself

    -Upgrade 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4

    Normally I do this by creating databases with DBCA under a new name and migrate data using Data Pump.

    The problem is that the company wants to have the same name of database on all nodes.

    Is it possible to have the same name of database on all 4 nodes simultaneously (from 2 houses of Oracle RDBMS different with different versions while all 4 nodes share 1GI?

    It is a method of support?

    Let's see if I can describe it more in detail.

    You have a database named ORCL in your RAC environment. Create a new blank database named SLAVE_PORT_NUM. Perform a dump of export of ORCL and import in SLAVE_PORT_NUM. At this point, you have the data in the new database. The original database to stop now:

    srvctl stop database orcl immediate o d

    ORCL is no longer running on all nodes. We just need to allow users to connect to this database with a service name. But before I can do, I need to remove the Cluster registry ORCL:

    srvctl remove the d orcl database

    Now create a service named ORCL that connects to SLAVE_PORT_NUM

    srvctl add service d slave_port_num s orcl r - newdb1, newdb2, newdb3, newdb4

    Your application always tries to connect to "orcl" on this same group. They don't know the PB has changed its name.

    When you change only the name of the service for the new database. I guess that the path of the ASM will have different name right?

    It cares ASM. ASM paths come into play when you create the new db.

    Brian

    If I don't have permissions to create a database link. Is there another way to do this?

    Thank you.

    link to database IS the method by which an Oracle database accesses to a different database.

    If you are the ADMINISTRATOR, you should have permission.

    If you are not the ADMINISTRATOR, you should not have permission and need to talk to the ADMINISTRATOR that is allowed.

  • How to open database with a single user connections?

    I have an old forms application that opens a connection to the database with the user name and password typed by the user in the login screen. Therefore, each user of the application has its own user database.

    Traditionally, this application was performed with the client-server model but not it is deployed in server of BCI. We would like therefore to take advantage of the resources of the BCI to open the connection to database with a username/password unique name, which would be set up somewhere on the server and then eliminate some problems of security that we have.

    Is it possible to do this? How can I code the application to obtain/request a new connection and how do I set this up in the server? I wonder if the key 'userid', under the Web Configuration of my instance of forms, should have the password configured.

    Notes:

    • SSO: I am aware of the BCI has UNIQUE authentication features, but we are not interested in SSO now (unless some SSO-related features can help me).
    • authentication: my request would be to validate the name of user and password typed in the login against a specific user directory screen, owner of my company. I didn't need BCI to have capabilities to integrate with my own home directory of the user, because I can code this validation manually and easily in the login screen.

    Thank you

    You can set the connection in the formsweb.cfg as

    UserID=User/Password@sid

    in this way, that the connection is established automatically. Still, it would open a dedicated connection for each user, I don't know if you can use something like a connectionpool on Weblogic.

    Hi gurus,

    I'm stuck in a situation and need your help.

    We check if our backups are valid or not. So it gave me a new server and backups/archives to a 2 TB database I need to restore/recovery. I followed steps below.

    (1) copied the prod parameter file to test.

    (2) make the necessary changes in the init file.

    db_file_name_convert, etc..

    (3) start db in nomount mode.

    (4) restore the backup control file

    Restore controlfile to ' / oraback/ARCH/prod/backup_controlfiles/c-250795000-20141030-01';

    (5) mount the database.

    (6) created under the rman script and executed.

    (1) how to proceed from here.

    (2) all the changes I need to do to the RMAN script. As I need to automate the process of restoration.

    (3) I don't want to use under hidden settings

    _ALLOW_RESETLOGS_CORRUPTION = TRUE

    _CORRUPTED_ROLLBACK_SEGMENTS = (Automatic Undo segments comma-separated list)

    Thank you for the support.

    You can not ignore the archivelogs.

    If the archivelogs are not available, you need a database backup that was created after missing the last archivelog point.

  • Refresh the production database to test the database with RMAN

    Hi experts,

    I want to refresh the production database to test the database with RMAN. You can help me please how to do this.

    I saw a lot of blog on the internet but not got a satisfactory answer.

    Reg,

    Thomas verrma

    Thomas

    Follow these steps

    1. on the server target

    a. Add entry in oratab

    b. create init.ora for target db copy of source

    c. If you use catalog

    connect to the RMAN catalog, you can use the double option to clone run below

    one.

    RMAN > Connect target sys /@trgt

    RMAN > Connect Catalog rman /@catalog

    b. check that the backup connects to the source and to collect information on the elements of backup that contains the backup controlfile

    c. restore the controlfile

    RMAN > set DBID = xxxxxxxx (DBID of the source db)

    RMAN > run

    {

    allocate channels ch1 type parms 'SBT_TAPE' = 'ENV = (NB_ORA_CLIENT =, NB_ORA_SERV =)';

    Restore controlfile from "/ c-DBID-xxxxxxxx-00';

    }

    Once the controlfile is restored, you can mount the db

    change the editing of the database;

    run

    {

    until ' TO_DATE (2014-SEPT-10 10:00 ', MY - DD - YYYY HH24 ') ";

    allocate channels ch1 type parms 'SBT_TAPE' = 'ENV = (NB_ORA_CLIENT =, NB_ORA_SERV =)';

    restore the database;

    recover the database;

    }

    ALTER database open resetlogs;

    stop immediately;

    bootable media;

    nest target = / = dbname

    change the system db_name set = scope = spfile;

    stop immediately;

    Startup mount

    ALTER database open resetlogs;

  • register the database with the database Vault

    Version: 11.2.0.2.0

    Operating system: Solaris

    Can someone tell me please how to enter Oracle Database Vault with a database from command line without using DBCA.

    The doc oracle E23090-10 provides only through the DBCA Wizard. I'm having some trouble with my software x - manager, so I cannot use the DBCA Wizard and seeks to enter the vault of the database with the database by command line.

    Oracle database Vault is already enabled through 'chopt enable lbac' and 'chopt enable dv. Now all I do is register with the databases on the server.

    Thank you

    Hi DK2010, actually I found my answer in the metalink Doc ID 803948.1

    I have to run the dbca in silent mode and at the end of this doc, it's exactly what I need.

    "

    DBCA-silent - configureDatabase

    sourceDB-

    [- sysDBAUserName

    -sysDBAPassword ]

    -addDBOption DV, WHO

    -dvUserName

    -dvUserPassword

    -dvAccountManagerName

    -dvAccountManagerPassword

    "

    Now, the keystone of the database is registered with the database.

  • How can I integrate a database with pictures of Muse (to show a catalog)?

    As you can imagine, Yes, this question has a hidden background (e-commerce), of course. Muse is a window of gold to all those designers who see that it is possible to create a Web site without using code easily. But sites need rich content, which change from time to time. I would not treat right now with e-commerce, let's go step by step.

    I wonder about the integration of a database with muse, to show a catalog (for example, an inventory of products). Let's say I want to show that the products I have (but for now) I don't want to sell them.

    So I have a file access, with several fields: name of the product, quantity, Description, Maker and the last field is a field of image showing a photo of the product.

    I already have this database in access and I can open it in access, change it, watch it, browse my products, etc.

    Now, what I want is to see the Muse of this database in a page, so I would like this Muse read my database from access file and allow me to view the areas of access to the position I want (Muse) and which also include the image field.

    I want to add two buttons, left, right, to move backward or forward through the records of my database.

    Can I do this in the Muse?

    How?

    You can either use object > insert html code or an ifame to view the product page that exists on the end of your purchase (server).

    For example, if you are using Business Catalyst you can then create products on the end of BC and then use products module in Muse page. Once the module is used, it would make the products.

    The same with third party shops, you can use their output html for the page of the Muse.

    You can view the sample videos:

  • Creating a database with only the RMAN backup

    Hello

    I have a full backup of a database (10.2.0.1) of 10g RMAN in RHEL5 server. This backup has only the backup piece does not SP. and the control file. I want to create a new database with this backup in a new server. Is this possible? How to go further?

    Kind regards
    007

    Hello

    Refer to this that you can take a look at this http://shivanandarao.wordpress.com/2012/04/19/duplicating-primary-database-to-a-new-host-without-connecting-to-the-primary-database-in-oracle-10g11g/

    RMAN automatically backup spfile and controlfile in the backup of the data file 1 (SYSTEM datafile). So you can restore them from the backup piece which is to have the file system data.

  • Backup database with ASM stratagy

    Hi all

    I have a doubt regarding the backup. I'm testing the database (11.2.0.3.0) in Windows 2008 server R2 64 bit version.
    I want to take the rman backup... can someone tell me, is there any necessary additional files backup for the database with ASM file system?

    Thanks and greetings
    John of Vikash

    can someone tell me, is there any necessary additional files backup for the database with ASM file system?

    Just use RMAN to take the backup of the database, no addition of steps or backup files required.

    However if you need backup ASM metadata you can use md_backup
    metadata contain information of disk path, name of the disk, disk failure groups, the structure of the directory.

  • Create the database with a set of characters

    Hello

    I need to create a database with the character US8PC437 (platform Linux Redhat 5.4 64-bit, database version 11.2.0.3), but this character set do not appear when I create the database with the database assistant (DBCA).

    Any help will be apreciated.

    While AL32UTF8 is certainly recommended for the Oracle database character set, use only, if your application provider has confirmed that their application will work with a set of characters to multibyte database.

    To create a database US8PC437 (it is rarely a choice, in fact) with DBCA 11.2, select the "character sets" tab, once shown, then select the option 'Choose from the list of character sets' and uncheck 'Show recommended only character sets '. This will add US8PC437 to the "Database character set" drop-down list. Select "US8PC437" from the list and continue the process of creation.

    But first, contact your provider and ask a compatible Unicode version of your application.
