Cannot copy songs on ipod classic

I recently found errors when you synchronize from itunes for my ipod to 6gen classic to my hp Windows 10.  When I connect to the start via USB, I get the message "of problems with the drive, the analysis to solve." then in itunes after initially connected and recognizing the device, I get errors for most / all of the songs with messages of unknown error-50 and -53.  When I select the device via windows Explorer, I get the message "Please insert a disk in (name of my ipod).

I've performed the manual start and ran smartdata that gives these results:

Retracts 206

Reallocation 352

Sectors pending 2

Turn on/off hours 504

start/stop 238

current temp 32 c

Temp min 14 c

temp max 49 c

I want to avoid the scan to fix the solution unless its my only hope - I had problems with the other USB storage after that

This ipod is still salvagable?

See corrupted iPod Classic. Overall stats doesn't seem too bad. A restore DFU or reformatting may be necessary to release the waiting areas. Make sure that Windows 10 is fully updated as some recent versions have raised false alarms that require analysis and difficulty when she is not necessary.

Well I tried to download a few songs to iTunes for my iPod. I dragged the music on my iPod, but there is no available option to load my music to it. I tried to use my old iPod and it works very well, but a new does not allow me to add songs. I have not received the error messages regarding the iPod. My previous iPod is a late model iPod classic I think with 80 GB. My operating system is Windows Ultimate edition. Please help me, thank you.

  • iPod classic used to synchronize all the songs in the library

I have 414 albums and 3100 songs in my iTunes library on my Windows 7 desktop. Same problem on my laptop Win 8.1.

When I connect my 106 GB Classic iPOD, songs only 398 appear when I click on 'Musical library of full synchronization.'  Up to 85% of the songs that are on my hard drive in the iTunes folder Media/Music doesn't sync to iPOD Classic.

Help! It used to work very well for years until last year.

Choose a song that is currently not sync to the iPod.  In the iTunes window, find it in your iTunes library, make a right click and select information.  In the Info window, go to the file tab.  Next to location, what he says it?  If it shows a file path, you can copy and paste in your next post.  (If your full real name is in the path, please substitute for it).  Who can predict an idea why this song (and others) do not currently synchronizing with the iPod.

  • Cannot sync the music purchased on ipad for Ipod classic

I bought a number of songs and albums in the comfort of my iPad.  They will not copy on my Classic iPod via itunes.  Is this a bug or I do something wrong?

This isn't how the synchronization works. The synchronization is to copy the music in iTunes on your computer to your mobile devices.

Using iTunes on a Mac, go to the iTunes Store and re-download the songs you want. You will not be charged again. Then plug in your iPod Classic to your computer and sync.

  • Message: "some items in the iTunes library... no were not copied to iPod... because they cannot be played on iPod.

I get the message "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on iPod."  The listed songs have always copied, sync would and played on my iPod. My iPod is old, but I've never had this message before. Go listen to songs on my Mac.

This looks like what happened a few weeks ago.  I quit iTunes, then he revived.  The problem disappeared and has not returned.

  • iPod classic 80 GB won't charge songs

    Hello

I'm an Italian boy, and I have an old ipod classic 80 GB, but it is held with care.

I tried to download songs, about 1000 (I was shure first they were totally less then 60 gb) but it stops at the 800th and my computer (end of 2015) with itunes crashes.

Do you know if the problem is caused by my computer or the age of the ipod because of the abandoned model?

    Thank you

  • What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were delete

What is the order of the removal of the songs to an iPod Classic syncing > somehow my laptop has started the process of synchronization without my knowledge and removed approximately 2,000 songs of my iPod classic.  How can I identify which were deleted songs?  I always manually move files to prevent this.  I'm on Windows 10.

Has no way to know that...

If your library iTunes music fits on the storage space of 160 GB of your iPod classic, you just set to automatically sync your entire library of music.  Then, it won't matter which has been removed and which do not get deleted, because your iPod music library is the same as your library iTunes music.  And iTunes it keeps this way, every time your iPod connection (or click sync , if already connected).

If you don't want "everything" in your iTunes library on your iPod (understandable), you can create a playlist in your iTunes library with all the songs you want on the iPod.  Then, set to automatically synchronize the playlist to iPod.  Instead of manually managing iPod, you manually manage playlist in your iTunes library.  The iPod has no need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes will update the iPod with the same changes.  The big advantage is, if something happens like what you describe, or needs to restore iPod (erased) or even if break you your iPod (and get a new), need you a few mouse clicks to solve the problem.  Just set it up to sync the same playlist once again, which exists in your library iTunes (not only on the iPod).

You can post back for more information about how to use automatic synchronization to do what you want more easily, go ahead.

  • iPod classic skip songs

Hi, looking for tips for my ipod classic, which has about 3 years.

My ipod has recently developed a problem where it jumps randomly songs when I play through a playlist.  When this happens, it moves just from song to song without playing one of them.  To stop it, I turned off my ipod then turn it back on and can, to this day, resume playback.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with specific songs because I can come back and play the songs that he jumped without any problem.

In addition, seems not be connected to how old the song is - it happens for new and old songs like.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

You can try to do a restore on the iPod using iTunes.  There may be data on the iPod storage corruption. This erases the iPod, reinstall its software and sets it to the default settings.  The restore button is on the recapitulation of the iPod settings screen in iTunes.

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

After the restore, synchronize your songs back as you wish and see if the problem persists.

Another test, you can try (and you can do it before the restoration) is to play the iPod when connected to power.  You can do it with an adapter USB power supply or USB port of the computer (with the iPod is ejected).  If the iPod is connected to the power, and you play, this problem never happens?  This is to see if the iPod running off battery contributes to the problem.

  • Cannot reset iPod classic after a fall on the cement.

Cannot reset iPod classic after a fall on the cement. Said to contact apple with a face sad iPod.

    iPod classic 30 GB.

Tried resetting and it said to contact Apple. The 'do not disconnect' flashed continuously until it empty the battery. An error code came to my office saying I had expelled irregularly. I had not ejected it.

    Any ideas?

You may have damaged hard drive to the iPod (or other component).  You are able to put it in Disk Mode?

Put the iPod in disk - Apple Support Mode

If it passes in disc Mode, run iTunes on the computer and connect the iPod.  iTunes may ask you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  If you're OK with deletion of the iPod, tell iTunes to perform the restore.

If it does not go in Disk Mode, or the restore fails, you have a hardware problem with the iPod hard drive.

  • iPod classic you want to restore to the factory cannot remember the password

I have two iPod classic I want to recycle. I don't remember the password that is associated with one of them. When I connect to iTunes and click on restore option, it asks for a password that I don't remember.

    Any suggestions for me?

    Thanks in advance!

A classic iPod has an iTunes password not perform a restore.  I think he asks your password for the Mac admin user account.  Enter the password that you enter normally when you allow changes on your Mac, like installing new software.

  • Cannot synchronize with the ipod on my mac, get this message... was not copied because the file type is not supported by the ipod

never happened before, have 12.3.2.35, happens to newer version on my old ipod classic & the new ipod nano

  • iPod classic 160g do not sync with itunes 12.4

Since download itunes 12.4, it erased all my songs on my ipod classic. I tried to Resync it, and if I 905 songs on the classic, it is nowhere near the amount of my total (12 000 + songs). whenever I try to sync again, it always gets stuck on a song, showing a ' attempt to copy to the disk (insert the name ipod) and failed. " the disc is not available"and"A so and so cannot be copied because of an unknown error (-59)".

in the menu options on the Summary tab, I have only these things checked:

Open itunes when ipod is connected - verified

Sync only checked songs and videos-disabled

convert higher bit rate songs to... AAFC-disabled

    manually manage music and videos-disabled

    Enable disk use-verified

I'm not a technical person so have no idea what deal with these other options. What happens here? IM real frustrated because this is the first time that I've never experienced this. I have reset my ipod rebooted my laptop, restored my ipod and tried to fix the itunes, all to nothing does not

  • Apple and iPod Classic music please help

    Hello

I have an iPod classic which I use for a number of speakers, I am owner and you use in my car.

I am able to download music from Apple's music in my iTunes and then sync with my iPod Classic? This will allow me to use Apple music with my iPod Classic?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Songs downloaded from the Apple music streaming service subscription have DRM (copy protection) which prevents loading on iPod (except iPod touch).  The computer or device must have an Internet connection to check your subscription music from Apple.

  • Sync of the Ipod Classic from 2 computers using HomeShare

I have an iPod classic which is fully functional and in good condition with no problems.

I have a laptop and a desktop computer.  The laptop is a netbook and very slow. I recently installed iTunes on the desktop computer and cannot find my external hard drive to transfer music.  I did share House on two computers, since I have wifi at home.  There were a couple of albums that I put on the itunes of google drive, so I'm able to say that there is music, it takes the laptop and the music that was already on the desktop itunes. He cannot afford to make playlists using music from the desktop and shared music of homeshare; is it possible to actually use the wifi connection to get music on itunes on the computer so that it is the same thing, or do I have to manually transfer the music as well? If I sync ipod from the desk top music will there be to synchronize?

To load songs on an iPod (which is not an iPod touch), the files must be stored locally on the computer running iTunes to sync the iPod.  You can use the 'normal' file sharing via your WiFi connection (not related to iTunes) to transfer music files between computers and add the songs in the iTunes library, that you use to synchronize the iPod.
