  This question is really more for users moving from El Capitan in Sierra running web servers. Surprises dealing with mysql and php? It's all works well under El Capitan and need to know if there is editing file I might need to do during the passage of the Sierra.   You are using mysql, but I was using postgres.  "The other problem I encountered is that new Apple PHP 5.6 seems to have left on a compilation switch «--with-config-file-scan-dir = / Library/Server/Web/php /.  This translates the file /Library/Server/Web/php/php.ini is not loaded, as it was before.  This file loaded the postgres drivers pdo_pgsql.so/pgsql.so, and thus, PHP could not access my postgres databases more.  I had to copy the setting directly in the main php.ini file to work around the problem.  There are a few other settings in the server php.ini as well, so you can look there to make sure that these additional parameters are not important.

  Interesting, but I didn't and isn't the problem with El Capitan or Sierra on more than a Mac. It takes some time to download a large Photo library according to your connection speed. I never knew 'loop' a Photo. Maybe some have. Could be a bad installation.

  I can't send or receive attachments when messages are encrypted with S/Mime since the upgrade to Sierra. Attachments sent and received on a MacOS-El-Capitan is available on El Capitan. But the same messages with attachments is more available on Sierra, as well as new messages with attachments sent from Sierra can be viewed on El Capitan or Sierra. Looks like the handling of encrypted attachments is completely screwed.

  If you have a Mac that is either running Snow Leopard or is not compatible with Sierra, you can use them to download El Capitan. Otherwise, there isn't a way.

  You should always download each OS if you intend to install it. If you do this, you will still be able to download again from the purchases tab.

  Still, Apple withdrew the free OS once it is released.

  So, here's the thing. I bought my MacBook Pro in 2013 and since then I've never done a factory reset, so I installed directly all new OS', same thing, I did the week last with Sierra. Downloaded, installed, and everything was fine.

  Things I've done: Spotlight has finished indexing and nothing has changed, not to use the Photo, reset SMC application does not resolve, go to Safe Mode and back did not help.
