is anyway to run office 2010 starter on windpws 8, if I don't have windows 7 on my computer

I don't have it on my windows 7 because I had major problems with the program and windows 8 would not install properly.

They only way I am aware of is to upgrade the Office Starter while still under Win 7.  This patch allows Starter work to win 8.  You perform the upgrade of Win8.

Too late for you I guess.

    Hi, Joe:

Office 2010 starter is only on your C:\ drive. It is not available on the recovery disk, partition recovery, or by download.

Trying to fix by reading the instructions on the link below.

  • The pre installed MS Office 2010 Starter Pack

I can't get my MS Office Pro Plus 2010 to install properly and recognize my files because of the pre installed MS Office 2010 starter pack. What do I need to uninstall the starter pack, and then reinstall my legitimate copy before that it will work and recognize all my historical Office files?

Please review the information in this page Web Microsoft ANSWERS. It seems that you can uninstall Starter now and fix installation Pro but your mileage may vary.

I desperately need my Office 2010 programs by Monday

    Thank you!

You will need to reinstall Microsoft Office using the disc that you used to install originally. You can use the same product key that you did before, but you will need to activate the software by telephone.

If you do not either, and you downloaded the file from Microsoft, check your email or the online store that you buy to see if the product key is in your purchase documents and see if they will allow you to the re-download.
Or you can download the Open Source LibreOffice software, allowing you to open and edit Microsoft Word 2010 documents.

  • Windows 8 removed Office 2010 starter when executed Refresh

Really frustrating! When I run Refresh of Windows 8, it deleted all the programs, including office starter 2010 and bunch of other programs which I had had preinstalled in my Sony Vaio laptop. Is it possible to recover all these programs?

    Any help is really appreciated.

    Thank you.

Yes... Do NOT use Windows 8 r...

You must make a return on factory reset. Note that if you save all the important things, it will be lost after the reset.

Your computer is equipped with a recovery instead of disk partition...

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

Save anything important with external media first of all that the process will destroy everything...

Sony VAIO, restart and until that screen "Advanced Boot Options" appears, press "F8".

You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...

After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

  • Satellite C660-1N1 - MS OFFICE 2010 starter GONE

    Hello

Just before I return this piece of sss... to the shop, I ask you for help. I recently bought the TOSHIBA Satellite C660-1N1. I got a MS OFFICE STARTER... (Oh, it's nice, I think).

After you install the software from the hard drive, I tried hard to use the thing for a few days. Due to some problems, I decided to uninstall it with an idea to install or reinstall once more.
BUT I HAVE NO IDEA where the configuration file. Maybe the particion of recovery?

Question 1: Is it possible that the installation of MS Office starter files are stored there?
Question 2: How the hell can I enter / start / open this particion recovery?

    Please help, I'm really desperate...

    Thanks in advance.

    > Question 1: is it possible that the installation of MS Office starter files are stored there?

Lol you can't install them separately because the MS Office starter pack is part of the image of Toshiba. The image is a package that contains the Windows operating system, a tool of Toshiba, drivers and 3rd party software as WinDVD, office, etc.
So if you want to get that back, you need to install the image of Toshiba once again or you define the BONES to the point prior to the MS Office has been uninstalled.

    > Question 2: how the hell can I enter / start / open this particion recovery?
    Check this box:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

I also recommend the manual pre-installed.
You will find some info about Toshiba Recovery and how to create a recovery disk which is very important in the event that something goes wrong with the HARD drive

The rest works well, or is it more than just an office that broke? If the office you can either buy a license and actiavte it (the Tablet came not with the license, just the trial) or use an alternative as LibreOffice.

BTW, this should really be asked in the forum Windows tablets, not in Android...

  • Cannot run most of the programs in Control Panel because it says that I don't have \WINDOWS\system32\rundll.exe'. on my hard drive

I recently installed sp3 on my computor he had sp2 now when I access panel, I can't run any programs like display or add or remove programs or internet con. I tried the system restore but it will not go forward or backward I always got the error this file \WIndows\system32\rundll32.exe'. is not on the hard drive that I can reistall sp 2 with sp3 hope somone can help thanks lindell wood

If you have installed SP3 and now the file is missing, the opinion of the Support Engineer Microsoft won't help you unless you have a genuine XP installation CD also is Service Pack 3.

That's extremely unlikely, unless you did it yourself and some people have never seen a real installation of XP bootable CD in their life then, how is this will help...  But, this is a link to a Microsoft KB article.

When you try to open a control panel applet, you see a message like this:

    Control Panel
Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe '.  Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.  To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.

If the file is actually missing, it was probably quarantined (actually deleted) programmatically your antivirus or anti-malware not specified that you use.

You might want to reconsider anything not stated antivirus or antimalware you programs use and whether or not they are effective to protect your system.

You can look in the c:\windows\system32 folder and see if the file is actually missing or not, but you should replace it somehow.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:
    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called rundll32 when the name of the file should really be called rundll32.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.
