Is Edge inspect the desktop to the internet connection sharing (for example, VPN) or just the same WIFI network?

I'm asking because on my work VPN all our screening sites are behind the firewall and so curious if my android device running the Dashboard Viewer inspect also share this VPN connection or if the cutting-edge office essentially comes the camera to a normal URL? The unit doesn't have native VPN access.

I am unable to test this, because our company blocks all Chrome extensions, and before I go through a long process to unlock this particular extension I just want to see if it would work I described.

Thank you!

Inspect edge relies on your local network for communication. Many VPN services will seal your machine connected to your local network when the VPN tunnel is open. Inspect edge does not work in this situation. Ask your VPN administrator to determine if there are parameters that will allow you to access your local network when connected to the VPN. Yes, the desktop application pointing devices to the url and the url must be accessible by the network device is connected to.

In addition, Port 7682 is required by Edge inspect. If another application or service is using this port, you must reconfigure either to use a different port or close Edge to inspect work.

I have a router E4200 running a wireless network with a bridge of WES610n and an extension of Belkin dual-band range (which extends from the 5.4 ghz band), can I connect a second WES610n on the network without interference and loss of performance on devices on a network, on both the bridge of WES610n, the Extender of Belkin?

You can connect a second WES610 to the network and it will work without interference, but there is probably a speed reduction because more devices will then share the bandwidth network. In some cases where there is interference, the router's wireless channel setting and moving devices can help avoid the interfering signal.

  • 8500Aplus, works perfectly with the PC, but it still appears in offline mode with mac on the same wifi network

I downloaded the latest drivers, more than once. Installation, set up and configuration gain of "successful" messages When I then try to print I get always "printer offline" message on Mac Book Pro running OS X 10.6. Prints beautifully PC running Vista immediately after and network check lists all the devices. Help!

Looks like there may be a problem with the Mac printing system since it works from Windows System.  It is also not as if there is a network communication problem as it works from Windows system and a network issue would be present on both systems.

The Mac printing system could have a problem and may need a reset.

Follow the steps exactly as stated in Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system.

Once this is done, click on printer HP v.2.9 OS X drivers and install this driver suite that Apple has included for OS X 10.6.

This will reset the Mac printing system and install the latest drivers having Apple for the platform OS X 10.6.

  • When the cellular calls come to the iPad? Both on the same wifi or any wifi?

If anyone can confirm when the calls show on your iPad? Do when your iPhone / iPad use the same Apple ID and are on the same wifi network?

Reason why I ask is that I lost my phone and just until its battery died my husband phoned to her. The call came on my iPad and I thought I heard something vibrate (iPads vibrate or could it have been my phone?) while the battery is dead.

I read in some places that they must be on the same wifi network for the calls to come through is - it true or both do I just wifi?

They do not need to be on wifi even intranet as the continuity of the iOS feature does not work on the Internet, but only when connected devices are on the same local network. And no, the iPads have no vibrate function.

Copied from Richard to Yahoo answers. It worked for me.

"ICS in Windows assigns always 192.168.0.1 to the network adapter that is used to connect other devices to customer that you want to share the Internet connection. For example, if you have an Ethernet cable from your computer to the Internet (for the modem or router) and a WiFi adapter that will provide a wireless network for other devices to connect to, then the WiFi adapter will be given the address 192.168.0.1.

However, if any other adapter (or adapters if there are more than two network interfaces on the computer) using the 192.168.0.0 subnet, then sharing does not work correctly because you will have two adapters will try to use the same subnet.

The most likely cause is that you have a router between your computer and the Internet, and the router is configured to use the 192.168.0.0 subnet. If this is the case, log into the router and change its subnet. For example, if the router is set to 192.168.0.1 as its address, change it to 192.168.1.1. Restart the router and the computer.

If you had set up a static address on your computer for the Internet connection, you will need to make a change similar to the addresses of the computer (IP address, gateway address, and DNS address). If your computer uses DHCP to obtain its address, then it updates automatically when you restart the computer. »

    Good luck.

I just changed my routers ranging from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 subnet and sharing works fine now.

  • Problem to create the Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Original title: Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

    Hello

Recently, I plugged a laptop running Windows XP to a desktop computer running Windows Vista using a standard Ethernet cable with the intention of use sharing of Internet connection. The notebook contains a wireless connection that I've routed to the office via the cable said.  While the initial phase of installation went well (I was too lazy to do it manually, so I just used the Wizard "Set up a home or small business network" Windows XP,) I had to turn off the host computer to install a program. When I tried to set up ICS again, I couldn't connect to the Internet by using ICS. After this failure, I tried to configure the properties of TC/IPv4 (IP, gateway by default, etc.) manually, but I still couldn't run.  I am able to access the shared host PC and client files. It seems to me that some service essential to the proper functioning of the ICS may be disabled in some way, but it's just speculation, as I have no evidence of such a service. Help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    FG-man

I tried this before using a laptop to share internet with my 360.  problem is there was Nat on the router, and it is in contradiction with the ics.

Anyway long story short I did some research on the Internet and discovered that if you're behind a router ICS will be confllict with her, as ICS also does routing. a much better option is to "bridge the conections ' on the laptop.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/hnw_bridge_install.mspx?mfr=true

If you go this route, you need to set a static ip address for the office,

Either that or if you want to continue using ICS put the laptop in the DMZ in the router may help, but it will be less secure.

Hope that this helped good luck

my laptop running on Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (this one has access to the internet by using the dial-up modem and will to act as a sharer of internet connection or as a host) and the client computer runs on Windows 7 Starter

in a first step, I try internet connection sharing, I've set up an ad hoc network and I just changed my setting modem dial-up on the sharing tab, of course what I change, it of 'Allow an other network users to connect through this computer internet connection' and choose the on Home Networking connection wireless network connection , then my mobile client to connect to a special that I created and portable client connected to the internet via ICS
then the problem came when I restart my laptop. When I tried to use ICS once again, my customer laptop really takes a long time to connect, he continues saying 'identification' side host and client. and after that "identify" is complete, it says ad - hoc connection, I create has "no network".
so, I'm a person answer in this forum

    "DNS server: none.

I put this on my laptop of the host, and and I put the IP address on my laptop customer in 192.168.0.2 with the same default gateway as my portable computer host IP
and made some progress in this case, when I try to connect host and the client is no longer to 'identify' phase, immediately connected laptop both but my mobile client can not connect to the internet and displays "No Internet access" on the ad hoc network, I have create

I tried a lot of things but always completed my mobile client can not connect to the internet and displays the message "no Internet access.

What makes me confuse is first, I try to share the internet connection everything works like a charm, I set up an ad hoc network, and then change the setting on my modem dial-up so he can share the internet connection, and voila, computer laptop client connected to the internet. I change even not all IP settings

I have a LAN wired connection but no wifi capability. I managed to share the internet connection from my pc to my phone by using the "Internet sharing connection" using the usb cable and the first day, it works fine and I can use my phone for internet access. • Internet connection sharing: "Bluetooth network connection" does not appear in the list "Home Networking connection."

    Hello.

With Windows 7, I want to share the network connection Wi - Fi with Bluetooth through PAN (Personal Area Network).

When there are several connections in addition to Bluetooth after opening "Share" tab, I see these connections in the "Home Networking connection" list, but there is no Bluetooth. Then, when there is no connection in addition to Bluetooth which I can share with, there is no tab "share."

    Equipment: laptop Samsung NB30:

    • Broadcom BCM2070 Bluetooth 3.0 + HS USB Device with the driver PAN ('Bluetooth device (Personal Area Network)") provided by Samsung: Microsoft, version 6.1.7600.16385, 21.06.2006

As I assume there should be means to somehow add "Bluetooth Network Connection" to a list of connections that can be internet shared with.

Also, when I tried to fix this problem manually, other questions are raised:

    • There is really no Thoubleshooting guide for Internet connection sharing in Windows 7? I see this document on the site "Microsoft Support" for Windows 98SE, Windows XP - but not Vista and 7.
    • When I'm stuck to the administration of the system to the GUI, there is good decision to guarantee a target with the CLI. After searching a command line installation Internet connection sharing, I see no guides for this - only something likehttp://forums.devshed.com/windows-help-34/enabling-ics-under-command-line-89499.html . Is there really no way to set up ICS by command line and I'm forced to use complex GUIs?

So, please help me solve problem BT PAN ICS. But if you reply to other questions, it will also be interesting to read.

  • How can I connect my netbook to the printer on the same wireless network?

My home wireless network is well established and includes a wireless printer.  I'm usin my HP netbook now and for the purposes of the internet, it is connected to the same wireless network.  However, I can't the netbook to detect the wireless printer so that I can install it.  Help, please.  Thank you

It is often easier - especially with the HP printers - to launch the installation CD for the printer to the new computer and let the installation program find the printer for you.  (But I forgot... your netbook is not a CD player.)  You could try to copy the files from the printer installation CD - if you have a CD, a USB key and use it to install the printer.)

I support this.  HP drivers to connect to printers more easily when you allow the installation of the driver detect the printer.  I had several HP devices and their installation is smooth when I do that.
