I got my uninstalled McAfee and I was wondering if I really need to buy antivirus protection? My firewall is enabled, automatic update is enabled, Windows defender is on, and other security settings are ok... do I have to buy an antivirus protection for my computer or is it possible to run without? If I need to buy protection, what is recommended?
Windows VistaHello
You certainly need an Antivirus program must be installed on your computer, but also Anti-spyware.
Free AV programs do a good job of protection.
Make a choice from these AV programs (installation more than it will cause system problems):
Avast: http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#tab4
AVG: http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage
MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5201
Avira: http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus
And the Antivirus program will disable the Defender, which is the normal thing for them to do.
Malwarebytes free version works with them. It's an Anti Spyware / Anti-Malware program.

Favorite and use this.
Mozilla search reset {web link}
This module is very simple: when installing, it backs up
and then resets your search and home page preferences
at their default values and then to uninstall. This
affects the search bar, search bar URL, and home
page.FIRST BUT cela;
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

Is it necessary to buy internet security for my new mac desktop iMac MK462B/A, 5K Retina Display computer if I've already activated security built in?
If so, that would be best?
You do not need anti-virus software and especially you don't need no product 'cleaning up' such MacKeeper - what do more harm than good.

Im having trouble surfing the net right now because this message from microsoft begin to appear recently and continues to reveal every 5 minutes while im doing something on my laptop. I tried to ask the help of microsoft, but received no response yet. I even reset my internet explore thinking that might help. I don't know if this has to do with my panda anti virus I just install a month ago. Please help me undestand so this problem and if I have to change. and what am I going to do to solve the problem. Thank you!
Hi Boy.
Uninstall the security software and check if the error occurs. If not then you may need to contact the manufacturer of the antivirus software.
Note: The computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; Be sure to activate security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after identifying the problem.

I'd like to buy software cleaning for my iMac.
I'd like to buy software cleaning for my iMac. I can't do it myself. Can someone please give me the names of good software for mac. Thank you kindly.
Roberta
< re-titled by host >
Your Mac does not 'clean up' and you must avoid software who claim that like the plague. Much of this software does more harm than good, and some of them are aggressive in pushing the upgrades and difficult to remove. Your Mac is quite able to keep clean, and if you have too many movies, audio files or photos you can remove them yourself.

Is it using Malwarebytes interfer with Firefox Malware Protection?
I was wondering if there is any problem with Malwarebytes and Webroot Security with Firefox Malware Protection?
Note that a registered version (?) of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware may include components that run in the background (possibly as a service) and monitor internet traffic and may interfere with Firefox.
I've seen a few reports that Malwarebytes is involved in certain issues of Firefox. -

Windows security shows off 12 nis firewall and malware protection off both seem to work
When I check the security of windows to see if my computer is protected, it is said Norton firewall is not on, but Norton says that it is running. He says also malware protection is turned off, but Norton internet security says that it works as well. In addition, any office shortcuts give me constantly warning each.
If you have your installation disc, I would try a repair installation

Hello
read this information on the Defender:
· If you use microsoft security essentials avg avira mcafee norton etc they disable the vista version of windows defender by default
the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender
and other anti-virus programs use their own particular type of application to scan for spyware and malware
It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do
If the above does not apply to your machine to read the information on the below link on how to disable the windows defender service in vista or make an autostart to enable
and here is the method to remove it from startup in vista

and if you need to change startup programs read this information on the other methods of doing it without using defender
using msconfig read this tutorial:
How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista
Here's how to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista to disable some unnecessary programs that load automatically at startup
http://netsquirrel.com/Msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
and also try this FREE program Autoruns:
This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services more

0x800106ba error and malware protection does not illuminate
I uninstalled mcafee and use essential for protection against viruses for three weeks. now I get error 0x800106ba and malware protection does not illuminate. What should I do?
It is normally a Windows Defender error code.
Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and it automatically disables the version of Vista in Windows Defender.
If it's not:
