Is it possible to add a table of contents with a URL Page "link to" which opens in a separate browser window or tab?
Using the Properties window for the Table of contents, the general tab Page, I can specify a web address for the link to the field. If I click on this page table of contents after the project is compiled, the URL is displayed in the topic of the current pane. Is there a way to open the URL in a separate browser window or tab instead of in the topic of the project pane? Thank you!

Sometimes a long article has bookmarks to help navigate, it but has no real TOC (table of contents) on the first page. In such a situation, I think that it would facilitate the reading of the paper version if you can somehow create a table of contents with page based on hierarchical bookmarks in the document numbers.
If this is not possible from Acrobat, is there a third party app?

Generate the table of contents with chapter markers?
It has been a while since I had to install and create a table of contents for a long document of single file, but I'm sure that I created TOCs in this way in the past. Then, why the text in the Section markers will appear in the table of contents? It is even possible to generate a table of contents that contains text of article marker?
I use InDesign CS5 in Windows. I have a file single document I'm trying to generate a table of contents for. I designed a 16-page manual in an inDesign file that includes a cover page, table of contents page and seven "chapters."
I created a separate section for each 'chapter' and used Chapter markers in the top of the page master for chapter names. It's something I did in the past of syntactically long documents containing several chapters.
I put the first page of each 'chapter' as a new Section on the Pages panel. In numbering and Section Options for each page, I checked the Section getting started, Automatic Page numbering, the Style of Page numbering: 1,2,3,4... and in Section marker: I put the name of 'chapter' in the text box.
I've set up paragraph and character Styles and has used throughout my document. When I put in place the table of contents I created everything correctly, including a heading style that I used for all the sub lines in my file and my style of Section marker for chapter names.
When I insert the table of contents, generate headers sub with their page numbers, but the titles of the chapters which are chapter markers do not generate. Am I missing something or is it still possible to enter the text of chapter markers in a table of contents? I'm sure that he's worked in the past. Can anyone offer a solution for this?

Looks like the markers section present only in the table of contents if they are on a document page. Try manually to the substitution of the frame.

Table of contents flowing to multiple pages
Is there a way to get the table of contents flowing to several pages on the fly?
I have a project where the Table of contents will be certainly several pages, but the content will be different per pound, so I don't know how many pages the TOC will be until the work is set up at the end. Since the merger is done programmatically, the best thing would be to set up the FAKE text object if flow dynamically as he had a variable in it, but since it doesn't have a normal variable, the possibility to sell the document does not appear. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I had my OCD set up as a master page with linked text boxes

In my view, that's not possible with only using Captivate and research to achieve anyway. (for example. Load the captivate through Flash and control the captivate Flash with AS3 file).

You have no control of this type on the default TOC THAT included with Captivate. You can have this control, if you create a custom table of contents and use advanced/variables actions. Advanced actions are converted on the duration of AS3 (for SWF) or JS (for HTML5). Since you talk about Flash, I assume you want SWF-output. I know a lot about system variables supplied, there may be some hidden variables that you can solve with AS3 or (better IMO) with JS, but only system variables for the table of contents is to lock or hide/show it (if in overlay).

Our product is composed of several modules, for example, the modules-1 thru 8 - module. We sold all 8 modules or some of them - in different combinations to different customers. I've developed help online in the same direction, that is, in the modules, help-1 to ' help-8. Each help module has its own table of contents. According to the requirement for a particular client, I integrate the required modules, build the main table of contents using the mini-table of existing materials for each assistance, generate the sequence to browse and compile. This has been my routine until now.
Now, the product development team would like to automate this process: for example, they want to give me the help of output for the 8 modules in integrated form, as well as tables of contents separate for a combination of different modules for different customers like, assistance, modules 1 to 8, 1-2-3, 1-5-6, etc.. They feel the moment this TOC fell in the output of aid, it should automatically start functioning - without compiling!
I explained the process used to develop Robohelp projects, how TOCs are built, etc., but they want to know if there is a work around, so that when a customer asks for modules 3, 7 and 8, immediately, they can go down the table of contents (for 3-7-8) at the end of the project, and it should work - without compiling , or anything of that kind. I tried Google and Adobe Forum, but couldn't find something suitable.

What you need is merged help.
You generate a parent and all the child projects. You always install the parent and then any child projects, you need. OCD, search and index adjusts automatically. See the pages on my site.

That would be my suggestion: using variables, shared (or advanced, but here, you can certainly shared use) efforts to create such a menu. You can put it on the first slide, scheduled for the rest of the project. Then use a button to toggle to show/hide this menu.
No integrated solution, although what I have explained any grouping of slides, with groups of expand/retract can be a more limited version if you use the table of contents available.

RoboHelp11 generates a table of contents where the places of the xxxx.htm #aaa of the form have a bc '-' and a final number added. In the same place that a link in the text does not.
No doubt there are some settings that causes this. How can I disable this addition?
What is the fault you are experiencing?
The #bc-# are added when a subject is used repeatedly in the table of contents. HR uses this fact to know what breadcrumbs that they must. To avoid this, use excerpts rather than add the topic to the table of contents, several times.

Table of contents: not positioned wrong page numbers
When I create my "list of Figures" (A Table of contents item type) I get ugly results such as (p83 and p84):

There is not always a dashed line and page numbers are not always end on the right. Is there a way I can influence it?
I found a solution, less elegant, but it seemed to work in my little test. Add a GREP style to your paragraph to add a character without pause style tab and the number. (This corrects the independent left-aligned numbers).
Then do a search and repalce to add a space before the tabs. The result is far from ideal, because it leaves a space between the text and the leader, but it seems to solve the problems of end of line too tight.

I need to get rid of these annoying two empty lines at the end of any table of contents.
Is it possible to prevent them from getting inserted? Or remove automatically after the update?
This is crucial for me, because the text box (for OCD) adjusts its height automatically to the content (line numbers)!

In my view, this is a bug. And I have pointed out. But it has not been fixed in versions a little.

I am using MS word 2010 to create the model (*.rtf file).
The report displays the details of all the products used by the customer. Report 1 product per page. All products have the same model.
What I want is to create an Index page, which displays the product name and the page number of the report in which it is generated.
For example. Client Papa Johns uses 10 products. The generated report will contain details below: 1st Page-> Front Page containing details of the customer base.
2nd Page-> Index page that contains product names and page numbers
3rd page: 1 product details
4th page: Details of the product 2.
.
.
and so on.

Managed to find the error. I used the option field to insert available in word. Copy the tag instead of the field option and then build the table of contents.

To include 1-1 in the table of contents, do I have to edit the referring Page, or is there another way.
