  I think that I have no advantage in the .tdms_index files, because our applications create many small .tdms-files (repeated measures). With .tdms_index files, we have unnecessary memory consumption and it takes longer for Windows Open the containing folder. Also it s confused when you search for a certain file.

  Hi Acer,

  I'm afraid there is a direct way to disable the creation of file .tdms_index now of LabVIEW and tiara. You can use the API Advacend TDMS in LabVIEW, which does not create an index file, or you can just do a simple programming and remove the .tdms_index file after closing the PDM file.

  This is a request for a long time, we will consider adding this feature for TDMS in future versions.

  Sorry, I thought that the System Configuration OR > LabWindows/CVI function appeared when you install OR-DAQmx (after selecting "Custom"), but it doesn't.

  Here's what you need to do:

  • Configuration of system OR download: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2613/lang/en (or select from the Driver DVD NOR)
  • Select LabWindows/CVI:
    
  • nisyscfg.h must be installed in %ProgramFiles%\National Instruments\Shared\CVI\include.
  • nisyscfg.lib must be installed in %ProgramFiles%\National Instruments\Shared\CVI\ExtLib\msvc. Note that it need to link against user32.lib as well.

  If you have used EIS, you will notice in the console, when the dimensions of the building or loading data, you can run it immediately, distributes them or save them to a file of cbs. IF save you it as a file of cbs, you can then plan their use with a batch file to run them. The Administrator's guide has a very good explanation of what do the different commands and how to run them

  I would write a VI to the Max and settup automatically tasks the virtual channels instead of manually configure these in MAX.  So this VI can interact with MAX or write in its configuration file.   I asked the PMs Caron in the past and they said that it is currently not possible. I don't know it is probably an API, simply not documented. I would also like to automate reports that the user interface is quite slow. If all goes well a new version with an exposed API will be available

  This isn't something I do every day. Only done on a few jobs that should have the text to change in a few places with a static background. I do not see a need for this function a lot with my current workflow, looks like the configuration of the template file with variables takes longer than just create the files of 12 or 15 necessary. But if you must create 500 files from a single model and can determine what variables should change then this may be something you want to become good at.
