Unable to host Unreal Tournament 3 on Windows 7

I have a static IP address (that I know) and I have forwarded ports suitable for the period of INQUIRY, but my friends cannot connect to games that I'm hosting on Unreal Tournament 3. I have disabled the Windows Firewall and I can not host. Y at - it a secret security setting that I need to change to accommodate?

Hi Dethcrow,
Welcome to Microsoft Windows Forums!

Method 1

Try to put your computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. This article describes how to solve problems in Windows Vista or Windows 7 by performing a clean boot.

Steps to put your computer in a clean boot:

1. click on Start
2. type msconfig in the Search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

1. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
2. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.
3. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.
4. click on OK.
5. When you are prompted, click restart.
6. after starting the computer, try to organize the game.

NOTE: TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER TO A NORMAL STARTUP AFTER TRYING THE STEPS ABOVE.

Click Start, in the search box to start, type msconfig and press ENTER.
Select Normal startup, and then press apply and OK

Method 2

If you have any third-party antivirus, try disabling the firewall.
See if the game has released patches for windows 7.
Automatically search for updates from the manufacturers Web site.

  • EliteBook 8560p: unable to turn on Mobile Broadband - 10 Windows

    Hello

So I made the big jump yesterday of 8.1 Windows of Windows 10. Do this jump however gave me a headached major when it comes to using my built-in mobile broadband.  Properly installed device drivers however I am unable to turn on the device to Windows 10.  I had a similar problem on the Windows 8.1 but I then installed HP Connection Manager, and then I could turn on and off the unit.

With HP Connection Manager not supported on Windows 10, is there another way I can get get this device to turn on so that I can use.

    I solved my problem.

Before moving to Windows 10 I had installed HP Connection Manager on Windows 8.1.  During the upgrade, I thought that HP Connection Manager has been removed from the machine, as it is incompatible and not appearing is not in programs and features. The attempt to run the HPCM.msi file I had the option to modify, repair, or uninstall if I choose one of these options, I get a message indicating that the application was blocked.  It then struck me that HPCM was still installed and it had locked my device to the OFF state.

I downloaded Revo uninstall the application and was able to successfully remove HPCM. Once removed, I could use my device natively through Windows 10.

I hope this post helps the other.

  • The time machine shaped my result of ssd unable to check my key when installing windows?

    Brief summary:

My machine: Macbook pro mid 2012
What I have: Samsung Evo SSD, optical Bay caddy, 8.1 windows bootable dvd with serial
I wanted to do: install windows in my second internal SSD (optical Bay)
What went wrong: Enter key I get: "we could not verify the product key. Please check your installation media. »

I suspect that the problem is: I have formatted by mistake the SSD mac front.

Question: Has been put in shape my SSD the cause of the problem? and if yes how can I do to reset?

    Detailed long version

I have a macbook mid 2012 retina not pro that I wanted to have the option to be able to boot from a windows and a mac. As a result, I bought a samsung EVO solid state drive for this purpose. I decided to try the drive and put it in instead of the optical drive caddy the day I got it. I was invited with the message that the mac was unable to acknowledge it and follow a few steps online to format. I would find it later when we look at a forum that I should have left the unformatted SSD. However, I tried to install windows on the EVO by placing the optical drive in the computer, put the EVO in the main Bay. I put the windows cd in and followed the installation. Everything was good until I had to put in the windows key. I put in and received the message "we could not verify the product key. Please check your installation media. "I double checked to see if it was right by voluntarily entering a wrong key he gave me a message that the key was invalid. Snooping around, I tried to reset the drive by using the offer of advanced tools and I was told that windows did not have access to the partition or something of the sort.

A format the drive of the source of the error and if so is it possible to return to the factory settings?

All the advice/help is greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

The formatting SSD is not related to the issue with the product key. Windows Setup reformats the SSD in the main Bay NTFS still. If the SSD is less than 2 TB, you can format the MBR with attempts as well as FAT32 format.

Your model is compatible with the installation from DVD and USB, both. You can also download the ISO of Microsoft W8.1 to the https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO to ensure that your DVD is not a several bits (32-bit and 64-bit DVD).

I would appreciate help, google and youtube are rather important

Sorry for the delay, long day away.

With this many cross-browser issues, can you confirm that your system clock date, time, and time zone are all correct? SSL validity checks are time sensitive.

If you see a globe, I think that you are unable to use an HTTPS address. Usually Firefox displays a padlock or a "!" icon in the shape of triangle on a HTTPS address depending on whether the certificate withdraws or has a problem.

Is there a code in parentheses, separated by underscores in the error page? If so, could you copy and paste this code.

  • Unable to connect to WIFI after upgrade windows 8.1

    Hello

I fortunately was connection to my wifi at home last night before my HP Pavilion notebook updated to windows 8.1 g7. Now, I can only connect via ethernet cable.

I called Microsoft Support and I was told that my wifi driver was outdated and must be reinstalled. I had a look at downloads available for the network drivers, but I'm not sure how to establish that that I need... There are 4 options.

In the Device Manager > network adapters, it there was only one pilot who needed according to this update. The Realtek PCle FE Family controller. When I checked the updates here is said that it was updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

Microsoft say it is a problem of HP, not them. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Hello

My suggestion: using Device Manager to uninstall the Wireless driver and reboot the machine. Machine should say new hardware installed and find the good jerking for you OR you can download driver Realtek (wireless) from the above link and reinstall it.

    Hello

I'm doing a clean install of Windows 7 and during the installation, I get an error message "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing. If you have a drive floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.

Novel if the Windows installation media is in the Cd/DVD drive, you can remove safely for this step"

    c:\Drivers

    c:\Drivers\x86

    c:\Drivers\x64

    c:\temp\mount

    c:\temp\DVD_Files

-the first is for the x 86 and x 64 so I put them in a directory c:\drivers\glb

-l' other contains x 86 vs x 64-put-the separate directories in separate directories.

    c:\Drivers\x86

    c:\Drivers\x64

    (1) copy the ISO files from the DVD to install Windows 7 in a directory - c:\temp\dvd_files

    (2) mount the boot.wim file

    -dism/mount-WIM /wimfile:c:\temp\dvd_files\sources\boot.wim / index: 1 /mountdir:C:\temp\mount

    DISM / image: C:\temp\mount / Add-Driver driver:c:\drivers\glb

    DISM /mountdir:c:\temp\mount unmount unmount

    (3) mount the install.wim file

-you know what image to update because the install.wim file contains all the images (except Enterprise).  If installing 64-bit Home Premium - that would be index 2

    -dism/mount-WIM /wimfile:c:\temp\dvd_files\sources\install.wim / index: 2 /mountdir:C:\temp\mount

    DISM / image: C:\temp\mount / Add-Driver driver:c:\drivers\glb

    DISM image:C:\temp\mount / Add-Driver driver:c:\drivers\x64 (or x 86 if the picture is for a 32-bit install

    DISM /mountdir:c:\temp\mount unmount unmount

Copy your files to USB and everything should be good.

    Bryan

I forgot something.  The boot.wim file has two images.  So after step 2, you must do exactly the same thing again but on index 2 like this:

    mount the boot.wim file

    -dism/mount-WIM /wimfile:c:\temp\dvd_files\sources\boot.wim / index: 2 /mountdir:C:\temp\mount

    DISM / image: C:\temp\mount / Add-Driver driver:c:\drivers\glb

    DISM image:C:\temp\mount / Add-Driver driver:c:\drivers\x64 (or x 86 if the picture is for a 32-bit install

    DISM /mountdir:c:\temp\mount unmount unmount

Original title: Media player upgrade was worse than basic
I recently updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 and now it won't play movies from AVI file that I used to be able to play easily on the outdated version. Why is this?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when you try to play with Media Player AVI files?

When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, Windows Media Player attempts to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the
Codec is available, the Windows Media Player installed on your computer, and then bed file. However, if the codec is not available on the server (for example, because)
the codec not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec.

In some cases, the file you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with Windows Media Player. When this happens, you may be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.
