Is it possible to JUST to play audio in windows live movie maker?
I want to edit some audio in the new movie maker, which is not nearly as good as when it comes to editing. My problem is that I can't get audio unless it is Visual, which really bothers me. Is it possible to just edit audio? I don't have any other live editing except for movie maker software. Unfortunately, I can't use the old movie maker because it's a straw - who is to import the types of files that he dislikes, such as VOB, MP4 and so on. Help, please!
There is a way to EXTRACT the audio from the video file. Not sure if it will work forthe publishing of music in a video.
I use Free Video Converter Mp3. Yes, it's free.
http://www.DVDVideoSoft.com/guides/free-video-to-MP3-Converter.htm
I use it myself. It is very simple to use.
Basically just add the video file in the converter.
Find and select the folder where will be stored in the MP3.
Click on convert. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

What happened to the audio from .mov files in Windows Live Movie Maker?
I'm running on Windows Vista Edition family 64-bit. Recently, I downloaded Windows Live Movie Maker and have been playing with it. Can I import my camera Kodak .mov files. However, when I saw or save the movie, there is no audio or the audio has been accelerated so fast, you won't hear scratching noises. Other videos work properly. It's just the .mov files. Can I do to solve this problem?

Is it possible that Windows Live Movie Maker can be used by the XP users?
I just pulled a cruise (Holland America) which offers courses of LARGE digital workshop. I've learned about Windows Live and RL photo gallery - what is optimal. But - MOST important - I've learned about Live Movie Maker - an improvement on the old version of WMM. WMM is not .mov files that produce new cameras. Only the .avi. I went to download the pgm MM Live and he says that Win 7 is required! There are some XPs MILLION out there and it is a pgm this cool. Any possibility there's far more that if I can use the .mov files without having to convert all of them to .avi. Or is it possible that Microsoft will be kind to us and give us live MM under Windows Essentials for XP?
Windows Live Essentials for XP contains no Windows Live Movie Maker, as you know. We are not aware of what the developers have in mind. However, because Windows XP is a ten year old operating system, I doubt there is much chance it will be retro-compatible with Windows XP.
There is a good reason to upgrade to Windows 7 to take advantage of all the new and improved and product changes.

I'm reading a file .mov on Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 Version (Build 15.4.3555.0308). I had to install the media player codec pack (version 4.2.3.1001 the file) in order to get the video to play on WLMM and he finally managed to where I could see the video, but now will not play sound. I went into Edit and the Volume of the video and mute is activated, but he won't let me not reactivate the sound by clicking on it. The scroll bar can slide backwards, but does not make a difference. Already, I went and "repaired" Windows Live Movie Maker in my programs. The video has sound when he played on Windows Media Player isn't the video or the speakers.
In addition, the video is very slow and jumpy. It's almost as if it was in slow motion or something.
Help, please! I need to have this video made as soon as POSSIBLE. I need to be able to start editing here tomorrow!
Thank you

Windows that are open not movie, I JUST did on Windows live movie maker
Made films at home for years... Says Windows file Photo Gallery is corrupt... and or other reasons, I forgot now
Hello
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.
If I understand correctly that you have problems reading from a file by using Windows Photo Gallery, which was performed on Windows Live Movie Maker.
Please answer these questions:
1. What is the format of the video file?
2. have you tried to play the same file using Windows Live Photo Gallery?
If Windows Movie Maker is installed, photo library will play videos in these types of files:
· ASF
· AVI
· MPEG
· WMV
Please answer with more information to help. We will be happy to help you.

After down loading the camera viedo, it will not be open for show, but it's there, ER (0x80004005) it says Director windows live how I do to reboot?
Have a look at the last 3 letters of the video you've imported to Windows Live Movie maker (WLMM).
That the last 3 letters represent the format of the video file. If the format is NOT supported by WLMM, he won't play it.Here are the formats supported by WLMM:
Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmvIf your video file format is not on the list above, google for a FREE video converter and it allows to convert your video file.
The best format to convert is WMV. The most reliable and foo-proof format.PS, It might be better if you posted in the section photos and videos:
