  • Is it really possible to move from a Treo 650 to a Treo 750?

I'm not a very happy customer right now, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I upgraded from my old Palm Tungsten to a Zire and then to a Cingular Treo 650, combining three devices in one. I have since discovered that the Treo 650 seems to have a defective transmission mode, as I rarely can be clearly understood by whom it is I give the floor. Am at the second (or third, I've lost track) and continue to have the same problem. I get five bars of reception, but cannot be understood at the other end. A little problem when trying to call 911. I am constantly told I'm "breaking." The repair shop said that it "cannot reproduce the problem. OK, so I don't want to give up all the info I stored in the crazy thing, and the 750 seems to have a different system, so I thought I would try it. All the stuff I could find seem to indicate that it would not be a problem to upgrade. When the 750 arrived, I tried to install the software from the CD on my Windows XP computer. No dice. The Setup program encounters an error and closes. Can not even look at the files, because the Installer tries to run at any time access to the Conference on disarmament. Of any player.  Given my girlfiend to check on his computer, and the CD seems to work very well. Other CD works fine on my computer. Must be some sort of conflict, but what? Tried calling AT & T number that suggested that they could help with the installation and was first connected to the business center, they me routed to the center of the laptop, which I routed to the center of the network, who said that they would have to bring in the Palm customer service and connected me to a Mac guy who poured me a menu that took me to someone for whom English is a second language with which I tried to communicate via a very poor satellite connection. They didn't make any sense anyway. by saying first that I couldn't have two desktops running (badly, that my girlfriend has my old Zire and the CD worked fine) and then insisting on the fact that the serial number of my camera had start with a P, when clearly there is no any alpha characters in there. Without this way of help. Managed to get the new ActiveSync installed from my friends on the network computer. Large. Now let's get my 650 sync with Outlook (which I've not used at home) and see if we can move. Nope. First of all, I have to update Outlook 2000, the old Win98 to my current XP. Find the old CD and puts away. OK, now synchronize with Outlook. Nope. The synchronization program gives an error, saying: it will only be able to be synchronized with Outlook 98, 2000 and XP (2002). Good grief. I have Outlook 2000, and the software does apparently not. If the Palm does not work, there is no reason for me to keep this phone and I'm very close to return and abandoning the Palm completely when I switch to something that works, even if I'm afraid to enter all this information.

Thanks for the comments. Today, I installed Office 2007 Enterprise version I bought earlier, but had not yet installed. Microsoft has presented some difficulties, but they have been quickly resolved. I then downloaded the proper conduct of Palm and synchronized the 650 with the handheld crushing the computer. Then used Destop Active to synchronize the 750. Convinced that I had moved as much information as possible, I called AT & T and move the phone number to the new Treo.

Bonus! When the guy at AT & T called me on the new phone to check it out, he said that it sounded better my phone fixed.

Sorry for continuous paragraph. When it is late, I tend to write like I think.

  • Tecra A9 move from Win XP SP2 to SP3 - questions?

Anyone have trouble with their Tecra A9 when upgrading to Windows XP SP2 to SP3? I've heard horror stories with other laptops that users lock their systems or lose functionality.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

    Hello

I m not Tecra A9 owner but I already installed the SP3 Win and I didn't notice any strange problems after installing SP3.
Of course, it might be possible that some drivers would not fully compatible with some fixes and patches but it seems that I m a lucky guy and there is nothing wrong with my operating system.

But to be honest; I didn't notice any improvement after the installation of Sp3.
However, you can install Sp3 on your system and if you have great compatibility problems you'd still be able to remove the SP3 of the system.

    Welcome them

  • Possible to move from XP to new computer without installation CD?

I have an old computer that I got from a friend who no longer want, but today she has exceeded so that there is not much I could do with it. It has Windows XP installed, and I would like to know if I could move XP without CD installation to a new computer, I built recently. I am currently running Linux on my new PC.

you will not be able to because that move the hard drive to a totally different system will engage xp anti hacking device.

you see, during the initial installation of xp, it collects information about all the hardware on this computer and generates a security hash.

Thereafter, whenever the initialization of xp it collects information about the material and compare it to the hardware hash to ensure gaps little or not with the hardware.

So basically, if xp is started on this newer computer, the hardware hash that it has stored on the drive will not match the information he gather on the new computer.

However, if you have the xp installation cd and the product number of matches the OS on the hard drive, then you can do a repair install and create a new hardware hash.

also, remember that the old xp may not work on computer systems more lately, anyway.  Thus, not only is the hardware hash as a factor for xp, but incompatible material can be as well.

as a suggestion, you can put the old computer with your new network.

  • Is is possible to move from the EDI X 12 GS 02 value to B2B via BPEL?

    Hello Oracle B2B gurus,

We currently have a business partner with 900 different group ID.
I created a table of reference where I would spend the GS02 for B2B segment via a BPEL process. B2B then consume the ID of the Group and that transmits to the VAN.
Since the ISA id id sender and receiver is the same for every group of 900 IDS, I was wondering if B2B has the possibility not to define a group id and consume via a parameter using AQ or default?

    Thank you

With these many huge values, you must use internal properties. With this approach, in the future, even if the GS increase/decrease values, you can simply change your card and no further changes will be needed for B2B or SOA.

    Kind regards

  • Move from MS Office of Win7 for XP virtual machine

I ran my first Windows 7 Pro 64-bit install on a new system, and I put the XP mode.  I installed MS Office 2003 (Yes, we're still here) in Windows 7, not realizing it is not available in XP mode.  Can I move my Office 2003 from Win7 to virtual XP machine without needing another CD key?

You will need to read the EULA for your version of Microsoft Office 2003, and see what he says about installs several with a product key.  Some licenses allow several installed in certain circumstances.

Can I install Microsoft Office on two computers with one license?

    http://www.ehow.com/way_6177918_can-two-computers-one-License_.html

If you are not eligible for additional installation you will need to uninstall Windows 7 and install it on XP.  If there is some activation problems these should be easily resolved through Activation of the phone.

When in Windows 7, you should be able to run Office XP (Mode) without starting the VM is (virtually).
