Is it possible to restore CD provided with Satellite A40 by wake?

Hi, good day to you all...

I need help on my recovery CD. Is it possible to integrate my recovery came with my laptop CD?

He has XP SP1 and I want to wake with SP2.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

> Is it possible to integrate my recovery came with my laptop CD
No it's not possible because the recovery disk contains an image of Toshiba which cannot be extracted.
What you can do is to install the operating system using the Toshiba Recovery disk and then to create a clean image, using the software 3rd party like Norton ghost, for example.

  • 8.1 Windows restore laptop comes with windows 8

I have the TouchSmart from HP Envy 15-J003cl provided with windows 8.  I have installed all updates including windows 8.1.  Process has been without incident, but slow.  Many updates of HP and Ms.  I created a flash back/restore, also a lengthy drive.

Anyway, my question.  Is it possible to create a recovery media that includes my updates?  It would be a problem if I have to go through the same process of update again.  The probability that I needed to do a complete restore is perhaps small but I still want to know what is possible.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you

    Hello:

I can only answer to your first question.

Use only the 512 MB drive boot the PC to access the system image you created on a portable hard drive or DVDs.

Should not exceed 32 GB flash drive would be to create a recovery disk with partition recovery on it (but the recovery partition will be copied will be for W8, not 8.1).

  • Provided with serial number of Windows VISTA, but running Windows XP OS

I received a Government edition 6930 P HP EliteBook notebook computer with the Windows XP operating system. The irony is that the laptop has Windows VISTA serial number attached to the back and obviously has a Vista window badging on. My inquiries to my superior was that Vista is unstable, so they have bought XP instead. My question is, if I decide to upgrade to windows Vista, where can I download the software? I don't have the VISTA installation CD. Thank you.

Info below depends on how it was installed XP re Vista recovery options.

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory Vista.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to make Vista Recovery Disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • No option has worked at the start of vista & no CD provided with the computer!

I tried all the options (boot recovery, System Restore, memory something or other, etc) and nothing won't boot up to vista. It puts me in a vicious cycle of hit ctrl alt + delete to restart again and again. I have tried absolutely every single option. I can get the bios of course but that's all. I don't see anything else. I have no Vista CD because I bought the computer from comp usa so I can't even try to start with a CD. I want to do a clean install, but I guess that's not possible with no CD :-(  I just need to crash the computer in the trash?  I am disabled so I have no money for a new CD of windows, they are simply too expensive.

    Thank you

  • Is it possible to restore without losing my passwords, settings and especially favorite?

Recently, my computer has been infected with a malware that has removed some DLLs and damaged the Firefox, Opera and Google programs.

The other two browsers I reinstalled without any problem. But Firefox is my main browser and I'm afraid of losing all my information.

Is it possible to restore without losing my passwords, settings and especially favorite?

You can check if the Firefox profile folder is always present.

If that's the case then Firefox will automatically detect its presence and use.

You should regularly make a backup of your personal data stored in the Firefox profile folder in order to avoid a potential loss in case of problems.

Just upgraded to FF 12 FF 3.6 and most of my favicons are now places dotted. Is it possible to get favicons associated with each web site to load? I've seen some suggested code to add, but I'm not savvy web code. Thank you!

The extension of CheckPlaces can restore the favicons. It is also ideal for checking the bookmarks to make sure they are still valid.

1st generation Apple TV is dead. Orange light but no screen and no resetting of distance. I tried direct connection to Mac and iTunes open and he's not here. Is it possible to restore to the factory without screen or remote workin

I guess you tried maintained low men together for about 6 seconds - silver 1 ATV that will restart to the diagnostic partition but who would rely on the hard disk is functional and if it was ok that wouldn't work with the logic board failure.

I guess you have not fed and attempted to restart.

In case your AppleTV think it is paired with another remote try Menu and left arrow for 6 seconds - the light now intervenes when you press the buttons on the remote?

Also, it could be in the video mode bad - try Menu and upward arrow together for 6 CES switch video modes, but implies that he actually started OK.

Is it possible to restore the disk Win XP at least?

I'll ask Toshiba for assistance (already done) or there is a way to create the disks on mine?

I'm sure someone went down this way (ar tried at least).

    Thank you all.

Sorry, but I don't really know what you are meaning by the Win XP disk restore.

The Toshiba laptop was delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
If you want to restore the OS from Windows XP that is installed on the HARD drive, then use this disk and reinstall the WinXP.
To start the installation, you must boot from the recovery CD.

If you want to create a clean image and then install Win XP with a CD of MS Windows, download the Toshiba driver and create the image using the tool like Norton Ghost third 3rd for example.

  • Satellite U400-124: is it possible to restore the operating system without the DVD

    I have a U400-124 I want to do a system restore.
I created the Toshiba Recovery DVD but I don't have it with me (I'm in Italy and it is in the United Kingdom).

    I have three left:

    1 Vista (c :))
    2 WinRE (d :))
    3 data (e :))

Is it possible to restore the operating system without the DVD?

Also, what exactly are leaving them? I'm not wrong!
1 Vista (c) - for the operating system
2 WinRE (d) - is a hidden partition and it is necessary for the backup files in Vista
    3. data (E :) - contains the record of recovery

Sorry for my lack of knowledge! Thanks for all your help in advance!

    > Is it possible to restore the operating system without the DVD?
This is possible only if the second partition and HARD disk recovery file has not changed

Start the Toshiba HDD recovery procedure by pressing the F8 key.
A start menu should appear, then you should choose the first option called fix my computer.
Then it should open a new window with an option called Toshiba recovery.
Choose that and usually drive HARD recovery must begin.

  • Why my pictures didn't backup when I restored my phone with my backup

I got a new phone, but before that I erased all my data on it, I backed up in iCloud. So when I went to restore my phone with the iCloud backup, everything went back on my phone expect my photos. So how can I get my pictures on my phone from the backup?

    Hey there Meg.

    Welcome to Apple Support communities.

If I understand correctly, photos are missing in your iPhone after restoring a backup to iCloud. The article below provides a lot of information and troubleshooting tips that should help you to solve the problem of missing photos.

Help find missing information in iCloud after restoring to an iOS - Apple Support device

    Your photos

In iOS 8.1 or later with iCloud than on photo library, your photos and videos are stored in iCloud. They are not included in your backup to iCloud. After you restore your device, connect to the Wi - Fi and turn on iCloud photo library by going to settings > iCloud > Photos. Your photos and videos starts to download.

If you use iOS 8.1 or later and have not turned on iCloud photo library, or if you use the iOS 7, iCloud backup includes photos and videos in your film or photo library. They will download on your iOS device when restoring.

    • Photos in my photo stream is already stored in iCloud, so that they are not part of your backup. iCloud stores the photos that you have uploaded to my stream of photos for 30 days. To keep these pictures on your device and to be part of your backups, save these photos in your library, film or another album.
    • To view an album My Photo Stream, make sure that my photo stream is enabled in the settings (if use you iCloud photo library, the photo stream my folder is removed).
    • To retrieve the photos synchronized to the origin of your device from your computer, synchronize your device via iTunes on a computer.
    • To restore an iPhone or an iPod touch photo library (or film), iCloud backup must be from an iPhone or iPod touch. To restore photos photo library (or film) to an iPad, iCloud backup must be from an iPad.

    Take care.

My camera Olympus only works with Apple's Quick Time 7.  Is it possible to make it work with my operating system from Windows XP?

Apple QuickTime 7 works is because. MOV is the Apple
    QuickTime format.

QuickTime. MOV files can cause problems with Windows Media Player.
And... If you plan to try editing with Movie Maker... the files should
be converted to the. WMV format.

No guarantee, but the following decoder might allow Windows Media
Reader to read your. MOV files. Only problem is... it is not freeware to retail.

Convert the. MOV files to the. WMV format may be worth a try:

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converter is just one example:

Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory (freeware)
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory
(the 'direct link' is faster download)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup295.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the final screens)
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
    Drag > FFSetup295.exe< out="" of="" the="">
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck
