Can I then use more than 3 GB of memory on the X 200?
Thank you very much

WingerHello Winger
I checked the Toshiba download page, and unfortunately your laptop model is not supported for Windows 7 64-bit. I can see only Vista 64 bit is supported.
So I really don t know what to say. What you can try is to install Win7 tips designed for another portable model supported for Win7 64 bit but identical or similar composantsmateriels.
If you decide to use Vista 64-bit and you need help, we know.

Using Windows free 90 days with the help of rearm
I've tried and used Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit in my computer, I used it for 90 days without inserting the product key. I reset three times using the command line. Then, I want to get the best out of Windows, so I buy Windows 7 Home Premium Retail real. And my BONES in my computer from desktop-Windows 7 Home premium.
Is it legal, if I use this Windows 7 basic family for 90 days, no purchase or insert the product key? Should I buy the product key or should I buy?
If you bought Home Premium and installed over ("Custom" / Clean install) erasing so Home Basic you have no problem.
As for using the rearm option, you can use a limited number (4times) for a maximum of 120 days, I wouldn't worry about the use of the command to rearm as it is widely published all over the internet and Microsoft has never prevented anyone to use.

Poor video quality using windows 7 "play to" with DLNA Sony Bravia KDL-40EX700
When I use the option "play to" in windows media player 12, everything works but the video streams on tv is of very poor quality!
Most of the time the video is not yet play full screen. When I first set all and used television to find the video file, it played in the perfect resolution and quality, but now it does not matter if I have the video on the TV or choose play... two ways I get bad video quality.
Are there settings for the streaming video quality in windows 7? I have the current firmware for tv update and tried on two different computers with the same bad results.
What can I do to fix this?
Mr. Goetz,
There is nothing wrong with the drivers of your graphics card. The TV is one that makes the video file not the graphics card on your PC. The reason you have a bad video quality is the limited support of the multimedia formats that is supported by your TV. Generally, Sony's Bravia TVs have a limited set of media formats supported and for this reason, most of the time that the Play and Win7 will send transcoded versions of the video on television. Usually, the way Play works is the following:
-Play questions the TV for supported media formats
-If the TV supports the type of media you're trying to make, the Play sends native data flow to the TV. The quality will be provided by your video file.
-If the TV does not support the native format, the Win7 also offers versions of the same video file transcoded: MPEG-2 and WMV for versions.
-Play preffers to make reading possible at any time so he will choose a transcoded version if the native format is not supported. DLNA mandates support for MPEG NTSC or PAL MPEG formats, so this will be the common denominator.
I tested several Sony's Bravia televisions in the last years of the development of Play, and several times reading transcoded. I guess that this is the case for you as well. Unfortunately, nothing you can do, unless Sony decides to support your media file nativelly. To make things worse, the qulity of the transcoded version depends very much on the quality of native files (win7 transcode in a lower resolution than the native.) It will be not high-end). If the native file is HD content, the resolution of transcoded stream will be pretty good for a TV 40 ". If the stream resolution is SD or smaller than (usually flows that can be downloaded on BitTorrent), resolution transcoded will be less than that. On a big TV screen, it will be stretched and the quality will be very poor. More the native file resolution and the resolution of the TV, the bad will be your experience.
Therefore, could you please tell me what is your multimedia file type?
Hope this helps
Thank you very much

How is it difficult to use Windows 7 after working with XP?
How is it hard to get used to Windows 7 for the elderly like me? Have a small home business.
The basic concepts remain the same, as the start menu, Windows Explorer, task bar, point and click, familiar icons such as Documents, computer, my network places. If you use Windows XP, you should be able to quickly become familiar enough.

A colleague sent me the following links concerning Windows gadgets in Windows 7.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Gadgets

I have Windows 7 and the CPU meter that comes standard on a build of Windows 7 Enterprise. Is still this gadget that a safety risk and I need to turn off the gadgets Windows no matter if they have been with the original or additional content downloaded version?
I thought that if even the prepackaged gadgets where a security risk can be up-to-date critical Windows Update was released to ensure that gadgets have been disabled.

As far as I know no (other than the Task Manager) CPU meter comes with all versions of win 7.
How gadgets work are a risk.

I just want to be able to slow down the video to add it to my Windows Live Movie Maker film made by oneself. Can someone please help? http://notebooks.com/2011/02/25/how-to-restore-a-backup-from-an-external-hard-drive-in-Windows-7/New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

Using Windows Media Player 11 with laptop and projector
I finished recently update my laptop after an OS re-install and updates over a period of 2 weeks.
I want to be able to play a video with windows media player by a projector. The last time I did (before this whole saga has arrived), I was able to play the video on the projector mode full-screen, and still controls the media player on the computer screen.
The problem is - I forgot how do.
I managed to connect and drive the projector OK, so there is no problem. I can't remember how to organize the media player to run in full screen on the projector with the controls on the laptop.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6129tx with the Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 video card.
Can anyone help?

I discovered how do - just move the Windows player (mainly) on the projection screen, and then press ALT + ENTER to switch to full screen mode. On the screen of the laptop, and then drag the Windows Media Player. In this way, you have the controls at your fingertips and the presentation in full screen on the projector.

I have a question that my computer is in danger. MS Fix - It was no help. I use Norton Security Suite, 'no problem' found. Try System File checker (SFC) tool system, unable to find amd or problem. I'm NOT an IT professional. Tried to clean boot, but all messages status did not help the. Thank you for your help.
Thanks Gerry, I am afraid that answer with your useful offer was beyond my capabilities, but has been informative.
I bailed out and contacted Microsoft Support, (first Phillipines to help Support level., then the India after "escalation of the problem on the technical level of two Support" this necessary pay for this help.) First of all, I have identified my several attempts to fix this next recommendations Microsoft Help searching for the various questions. It didn't work, but their identification has moved forward the process with Technical Support. Assistance remotely with them has accelerated the process, and the technician has also not had luck with some of these steps and tried a Reboot own without luck. Eventually, he used my installation for Win7Pro disk and performed a repair installation. This... Finally... was able to correct the problem, and update works now. Technician time total estimated at 1.5 hours, my time of 6 hours, including brief journal - for periodic sequential update facilities after the repair facility. I have now also now have one year of technical support and got some other goodies from Microsoft Access, (WiFi, Skype, 365, etc..)
I would like to know what percentage of others, following the advice of Microsoft Help, had a bit of luck fixing this error code. It would be nice if there was a "fix" seconded to Microsoft. Win7 is very stable and I want to use it for a while. Thank you once again.
