WINDOWS 8 Action Center reports off firewall/anti-virus/antispyware, McAfee says that all are turned on and running.  I tried to turn it on through the Action Center, but nothing happens.

Thanks for the reply.  I appreciated the recommendation run malwarebytes because it gave me peace of mind knowing that he found nothing.  The error of origin correct auto in the last two days seemed so it was an update from Microsoft or a McAfee update that has straightened things.  Thank you once again.

  • Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled.

    Original title: Jlj1952

My Windows 7 Action Center indicates that Windows and McAfee Antivirus & Firewall are both disabled. McAfee analysis shows that everything works. Looking @ my control panel shows Microsoft Firewall is enabled. Can someone tell me why I started getting these messages that no protection exists? Thank you.

    Kind regards

    James

    Hi James,

1 did you change on your computer?
    2. do you get an error message?

This problem could be related to Mcafee. Please temporarily disable Mcafee and check.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the problem does not persist, then there are certainly problems with Mcafee protection. In this case, please contact Mcafee support for assistance.

    Just reply with the results.

    Thank you

  • Windows XP mode crashes after his execution. Can Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 be the cause?

It is a new HP laptop, preloaded with Windows 7 Professional, including Windows Virtual PC and WIndows XP Mode.  2013 - Kaspersky Internet Security is responsible.  With the launch of XP Mode Windows Virtual PC, I get my password, integration are enabled and the Windows XP desktop appears.  There is a notification that the virtual machine is protected by 2013 of Kaspersky Internet Security.  A ToolTip appears and indicates that Kaspersky needs to be refreshed.  (Note: Kaspersky has been updated under the Windows 7 platform).  When you attempt to update, the virtual machine freezes up.  By clicking on the Start button returns nothing.  The only thing I can do is output using the X in the upper right.  A window opens on the Windows 7 Desktop poster "The Virtual Machine into hibernation".  This window remains on my desk, and apparently the VM is not hibernate.  I have to perform a reboot of windows 7 and, in the process, forcing the Virtual PC to stop before the reboot process can begin.  Note that if I set up the Office XP under XP Mode, then immediately stop the XP Mode (I don't try to do SOMETHING else), hibernation is successful.  MS Help Desk wants to charge $99 for this problem.  It is a new machine, for Petes sake! • How can I get rid of the small window of Action Center?

How can I get rid of the window of Action Center? I read Center wants to tell me what action and you click on the x in the upper right of the window that appears when you open the center of the action, but I have a small window at the bottom right which is above any other window, and I want to get rid of it. It is not an x or a close button. How can I get rid of this horse?

Before this problem, when I started to Win 7 me a choice of normal startup or a 'safe mode' start because he thought that I had recently installed a device that caused a problem. Windows tried to solve the problem but says have failed, and then I was able to start windows normally. I have not recently (last days) installed anything, but the PC is about 2 weeks old, and I have installed things like an external usb drive, a printer, a flash drive, an mp3 player and a wireless mouse.

See the link provided below to launch the Virus Scan online.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

You can also use the center of McAfee Security installed on the system to check any infection of virus/malware on the system.

    Method 3:

The problem may also be related to the damaged user account that so I suggest to create a new user account and check if that helps resolve the issue.

  • Flash CS4 works only with Windows 7 64-bit and Kaspersky Internet Security

I have a new computer to core i5 Windows 7 64 bit retail. With Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 installed Flash CS4 answers so that it is completely unusable. Uninstall KIS and it works quite well. I already read on another forum that someone of another encounter the same problem with the same combination of products. Does anyone else have this problem amd If Yes, how do you solve? I posted on the forum of Kaspersky without solution so far.

Norton works OK with Windows 7 (64) and CS4?

Your chance.  After a week of research I found someone who has thought about it.  Apparently his self-defense of Kaspersky which is causing the problem.  Under options disable control external sevice disable.  For me, that did the trick.  If it does not for you also try to disable self-defense under both options.  Once I did it was moving smooth again.
