Is it so Firefox is supposed to be on XP?

So I downloaded the latest version of FF on my current XP machine (which btw, I can't wait XP, I'm bored of 7). The browser looked almost the same as it did before the update (still not as enjoyable to watch as the FF on my Vista computer).

But, the button 'orange Firfox' (image) , but it seems badly formatted.

He is now gone (image) when I open FF again and it seems about the same as before the update. I wonder if this is the way that FF should look like on XP or if there is some sort of error. I really wish that it might look at how it is supposed to look on Vista, but I don't know if allows it to XP.

Please let me know.

Thank you

I'm under the bombardment of each kind of sales, ads and video ads. Please do stop!

  • When I use the printer icon in Firefox, it is pre-set to 10 copies. How can I change this default single copy. Thanks for any information

When I use the printer, in the upper left corner icon, it is automatically preset to 10 copies. I want only default copy. I can change it to one, but when opened, he's back to 10.

Number of copies to print is not a parameter that Firefox is supposed to be saving, and I've never seen a preference for this in Firefox preferences panel hidden - about: config.

Try of the reset described here and reset all the preferences for this printer:

    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer
Be sure to restart Firefox before you see if doing this reset solved your problem.

If it solves your problem, please click the button solved it next to the answer that meets or solved your problem of Firefox support, it appears when you are connected, so this thread is marked as solved to help other users who may have this same problem.

If that does not solve your problem, and defaults to always print 10 copies of everything through Firefox, please open help > troubleshooting... information and use the copy to the Clipboard and then paste this information into the box post an answer here.

It's going to be a real long list, but all that I really need to see is the printing preferences, so you could paste all the information in a program such as WordPad text first, change the information that I can't see and then copy the remaining information and Paste only the information in the box to answer here.

I wonder if there might be a pref I've ever seen, but I really doubt it. "Number of copies to print" has never been "stuck" for me on any program in Windows, on any PC I've ever used with any printer / print drivers.

The only time I've ever seen a default "print dialog box" more than 1 copy has been with a working application where the program has been to force 2 copies of specific forms to print 2 copies all the time--one to give to the "subscribed" at the end of employment for their documents to the service call and one for the 'employee' obtain a signature at the end of employment with a fax in the Home Office for documentation of the task as completed successfully and for the purposes of the payroll while they would have paid for this service call.

  • Firefox 5 and the Firebug module

The Firebug add-on does not work for Firefox 5 stable at present.

Note that Firefox is supposed to be 'rapid development', up to version 7 - for the best or the worst for its modules - in order to keep in touch with this is advisable.

We have presented a new version of BrowserLab for Firebug for Mozilla and not expect to talk live on their site every day. More on that in a blog recent post on the Blog of the BrowserLab team: e http://blogs.adobe.com/browserlab/2011/06/28/browserlab-for-firebug-and-firefox-5-incompat /

  • Page is empty. It doesn't matter what I do. Even preferences or tools.

Each firefox and the window are empty white. Completely without relief below the top margin of the window, including the tabs (no lines of each tab are visible). The top margin itself is black and featureless, except for three red, yellow and green buttons to close, minimize and maximize the window. If I right click I get the usual menu of 'open the new window, open the new tab,... '. ». The slider changes the pointed finger to the text Insert Symbol arrow I scroll on the blank page. If I click and hold on the black top margin and move the window, I get a thumbnail image of the page, that I should be on the start page of firefox, for example, or the page of preferences so I the selected in the main menu. For this reason, the usual advice to solve problems through preferences are useless. As I was messing around trying to fix this Firefox has crashed and frozen frequently. I restarted Firefox in safe mode and the small safe mode window was of the same white clapboard but margin wasn't black, and I was able to click on the empty window where "Restart in SafeMode" should have been, that has open firefox, I suppose in safe mode, but the situation was the same. I've deleted and reinstalled Firefox, but the situation was the same.

It's all on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Yosemite. The problem started while someone who is not me was streaming content on a European hotel Wifi so I guess that the suspicions of malware are high. The streaming content froze my system and the laptop had to be stopped manually. Also having a problem in my Finder in the search and Spotlight search turn up zero results, which I assume is related. Safari no problem (by typing this on the same machine). No other program performed.

I tried to attach a screenshot of the Firefox window, and just to make things more particular, the jpg or tiff, the top margin, which is black in Firefox appears white in the capture screen, if caught by the window or selection.

    Problem solved elsewhere.

  • I'm trying to update Shockwave Flash from 15.0.0.223 to 15.0.0239 but cannot but failed to get the correct link to start the process.

I had a single connection to save but that apparently has not worked. The last time time I had to update Shockwave Flash, I go to the Dell Support and they have also struggled.
Firefox is supposed to have a 16.0.0.235.
Y at - it another link to use to update Shockwave Flash?
    I had Windows 7

The last link that it affected has the ESR of updated versions of Flash 16.0.0.235 and the 13.0.0.259 for Win/Mac. http://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

By the way the 15.0.0.239 you are trying to install is vulnerable with somewhat newer version 15.0.0.242 however users who have 15.0.0.246 is not vulnerable.

  • Thunderbird stops for one minute with the symbol of the waiting and then returns an error message on a script does not? CAUSED: By McAfee

Thunderbird stops especially when you write a message, displays the circle waiting and finally back with a message on a script does not properly. The choices are stop script or continue, the choice is obviously stop. It's embarrassing, I have set up with the same problem with XP on Thunrderbird and on Firefox and supposed to with Win 8.1 this would go, I was wrong. It is a standard installation of you bird, have not had the problem again with F'fox.

Thanks for the info, I intend to replace McAfee but looks, as norton may have the same problem or a similar problem and is probably what is causing issues with XP. E machine XP will disappear but will have to solve on the new machine.
Once again thanks for the info.

  • I put do not follow. I always get ads from services based on my behavior. Why?

Ads appear on web pages that have nothing to do with the site, I'm looking for, but which announce a service. for example, I looked at GFI and MSP services. Then I'm looking for a universal view of the Classification and watch, an advertisement for the services of GFI MSP appears.

I don't want ads, or followed by my behavior. Why Firefox is supposed to block it? Yes, I know they say that it is voluntary if you ask to indicate sites that you do not want to be the subject of a follow-up. And BTW, I use DuckDuckGo and not the dreaded Bing (sometimes) or Google (ever)

The thing is, this does not really the site to track you, only the site is asked not to do so. Shows the target site adds based on your IP address, so the only way to stop it completely targeted list adds, is to install an anti-ad or use a VPN/proxy to spoof your IP address.

  • Blocking browser, preventing the closure of the site

I recently came across this site: http://politie.nl.id169787298-7128265115. * .com /.

It seems that the site average scam, but this one is different. It locks the browser. Cannot close the tab, the browser can't be closed either. How this will produce-firefox is supposed to be safe?

The only way to close using taskmanager.

Edit: removed the link for direct access to the malicious site. (philipp)

Hello IIDR, open a new tab and enter Subject: config in the address bar (confirm the opinion). in there, search for the preference named javascript.enabled and double-click it in order to change its value to false. Then, it should immediately be possible to close the site scam in question. then return the preference javascript.enabled...

  • Why the new tab page load?

My firefox is supposed to be informed, but the new tab page isn't loading doesn't have the icon in the corner to come so I can activate it.

If that doesn't work in Firefox Safe mode then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

  • Permissions of the page is broken

I can't be simply not bother to change the permissions of the page on each web page, I visit - and let's be honest, nor can you.

Removal of the ability to manage permissions on all pages of an interface is contrary to what Firefox was supposed to rest and will be the reason why I have stop using it. Another example of how bass-ackward this change is what the frack is the parameter "default"? I know that you can give me an answer to this question in the present case, but the answer is simply not available anywhere inside Firefox, or really here in the forums to help either. There is no way to determine what is the "default" setting. The only way to make * sure * that Web sites are not using my camera, or the location, is to go ONE BY ONE for each web page, I view and manually change the setting? Laughing out loud

You do serious harm to all those who use Firefox and don't know that these settings are now, basically, out of their control. Please, stop this.

Hi, personally I think you have a good point! However, the people who answer questions here, are for the most part, dedicated volunteer their time (like me), other users of Firefox not employees of Mozilla or Firefox developers.

I suspect maybe it's a lost cause, but if you want to leave a comment for the developers of Firefox, you can go to the Firefox help menu and select submit comments... or use this link. • Whenever I load a new page, that it keeps popping up and even when I go to a responsible tab loading you have an idea as to what is happening?

I've been using and updating Firefox for the past five years or so. Today was a day until I open a new browsing session and Firefox started to do this. Firefox is supposed to load the tabs like that?

I had recently updated Firefox to version 50, and I just assumed it was a weird new feature that I didn't like, so I opened extension Classic theme restaurateur and searched for a way to disable the pages to load like that between the tabs. In the end, my search was in vain, and now I'm stuck being really annoyed with the way he is.

Only, I solved the problem. Windows multiprocess performed, disable it completely fixed!

Thank you very much for your help!

  • I just downloaded the latest version of firefox, and apparently it was supposed to replace my old version, why can I still access the old version of my icon in the dock.

I'm using mac os x version 10.7.4 and I try to update Firefox 3.5.5 version to the latest version. The Firefox icon in my doc still persists and leads me to the old version of Firefox. If it's supposed to happen?

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!
