We are having a problem with the battery on one of our laptops. When left for an hour or two the laptop turns off because the battery is dead. We have mounted a battery new but still only get about 1.5 hours.

Since new my laptop fan is running as soon as it is turned on, battery or sector makes no difference and is noisy. I tried the power settings for the Middle mode or silent mode which makes it much better, but the machine turns off after a while which is irritating to say the least.
I had messages on battery bad installed, but healed with auditor of battery and the update of the Bios updated.Someone has ideas about how to stop the fan and continue to use the laptop without crashing or is - it just the processor runs hot and must constantly the fan to operate?

Reinstall your video driver a. right click on the taskbar and then click Start Task Manager.
b. click on the processes tab, click explorer.exe and then click on end process.
c. click file and then click New task (run).
(d) in the text box to open, type explorer.exe, and then click OK.
e. click the Start button, type device manager in the start search box, and then, in the search results.
Click on Device Manager.
f. double click on display adapters, right click the display device, click Update driver software and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears.Method 2:
Start the computer in safe mode and run system restore
a. click the Start button, click the arrow next to Shut Down and then click on restart.
b. do one of the following:- If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.
- If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.
c. on the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select Safe mode, and then press ENTER.
d. connect to your computer with an account of a user who has administrator rights. When your computer is in safe mode, you will see marked Safe Mode in the corners of your screen.
e. click the Start button, type "System Restore" in the search box, click System Restore, and then click Next. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

I can't see more than about 10 pages without firefox crashing. I tried to use firefox in safe mode and it seems to work very well, but without stuff like ABP and my greasemonkey scripts, I feel that I work in the stone age. It started right after I've updated Windows, my video driver and adobe... ProBook 6545b: ProBook 6545b fan runs continuously on the average speed.
The fan on my HP ProBook 6545b worked at all average speed for the past 6 or 7 hours I had it lit.
I looked at performance monitor and the CPU is a little more than 50%, most of the time.
I checked the process in the Task Manager tab and see nothing unusual.
Any ideas what the cause, other than dust in the fan?
