Is it Support 4K TV Macbook?

Hello everyone, this is the configuration of my Macbook Pro.

Presentation of the material:

Model name: MacBook Pro

Model identifier: MacBookPro11, 1

Processor name: Intel Core i5

Processor speed: 2.6 GHz

Number of processors: 1

Total number of cores: 2

(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 8 GB

OS - Yosemite

Basic warranty 1 year my laptop just expired a month ago. Now that my Macbook is will heat up and creating a loud noise when I connect to my new Samsung 4 K with HDMI TV. It is so annoying that it is noisier than the apartment running heating unit in my room. Also the abbreviation HDMI to change the display of the screen does not work with this TV. Should I buy the apple care plan to contact apple? Some how feeling is not happy in the macbook is behaving like any other computer windows laptop. Please advise and help.

According to Apple, a MBP 11.1 will support 4 K video:

https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT202856

The noise is probably from the internal fan Mbps.  The GPU must support a large screen and the constraints of the heat creating GPU.  The fan is necessary to dissipate heat.

Apple care must be purchased BEFORE the expiration of the original warranty.

Ciao.

  • iPhone 6 not supported with old MacBook (10.6.8)

It's too bad that Apple "forces" of its customers to change their old Mac platforms, although it still works like a charm.

I have an old Macbook running 10.6.8 (latest version OSX supported them for this MB). All Apple applications are up to date including iTune.

I used to use this MacBook old (but still good enough) for light work such as the management of the iPhone. I used it for backup/restore/music/etc.. with my previous iPhone 5.

I changed my old iphone to a new iphone 5 6.

Unfortunately the iPhone 6 is not recognized by this version of iTune/Mac OS x.

So I can't restore my original backup (iPhone 5), and I can't save it no more.

So now, I see two options.

I buy a new Mac, but I don't have the budget for it, and in any case, I could not restoring my previous iPhone 5!

I rebuild my old legacy PC running Windows 7, which the windows of iTune version will support my iPhone 6.

Why this stupid decision to sell?

Forgive me Steve, wherever you are, but your company makes big mistakes. Stop innovation, lock platforms, loyal force customers to buy new platforms, and above all, you have lost the excellent advanced application such as an exhibition or the original "iPhoto"... really too many big mistakes.

    I'm really disappointed

  • Chip and upgrade memory set on my great MacBook Pro 1.2 and want to download the latest OS to Snow Leopard. An Apple store guy did to his own personal machine, but the upgrade was a procedure in several steps. Help!

I upgraded my MacBook Pro 1.5 with CT541631 CT2KIT12864AC667.000 2 GB UPGRADE for a APPLE MACBOOK PRO 2.16 GHZ INTEL CORE DUO (17-INCH) SYSTEM. I also added more memory. The Apple Store genius who did this on his own machine was on his own because Apple does not officially support the best MacBook Pro they never built and isn't there anymore to ask questions about the OS correct necessary updates. I think he said he had to go to Lion first and then upgrade to latest, although we both agreed that El Capitan was too buggy. Anyone know what I need to do to let the download procedure OS know that my ols is now a new machine?

Where did you buy the RAM module?  If it was not directly a source of Apple, you did it sure it was for the year and the time of year of output of your model (i.e. mid-2006 MacBook Pro)?  To identify the age, go to this tip:

    http://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-6413

Specs such as CT541631 CT2KIT12864AC667.000 are totally superfluous, unless they also indicate what year and the time of year, the model came out.

  • Charger for MacBook Pro 13 inch, late 2011

What charger for MacBook Pro (13 '' end 2011) since the megasafe 60w charger is no longer available?

Thank you very much for the help.

According to find the right power adapter and cable for your laptop Mac - Apple Support end 2011 MacBook Pro 13 "uses the following http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC461LL/A/apple-60w-magsafe-power-adapter-for-macbook-and-13-inch-macbook-pro?fnode=8b which shows it as being available (at least in the United States).

If this is not available, note that you can use an adapter of higher power such as mentioned in the following extract from the first link above:

Adaptors for Apple laptops are available in 29W, 45W, 60W and 85W varieties. You must use the adapter appropriate for your Apple laptop power supply. You can use a power adapter higher compatible without problem, but it will not collect your computer faster or work differently. Lower power adapters do not provide enough power.

  • Mavericks will install on MacBook Air 2008

    Hi all

I bought a MacBook Air, which seems to me to be a 2008 model.

Its installed with Leopard 10.5 which seems to be old and things like iTunes and QuickTime are old and obsolete because Leopard is too old for me to install the latest version.

I found some USB drives bootable on eBay loaded with the Mavericks , but I noticed in the description that the supported devices are MacBook Air late 2008.

I don't know whether mine is end of 2008.

Surely, I can spend Leopard to unlock more features with the software up to date.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

 > about this Mac > system report > search for the model identifier in the presentation of the material.

Based on MacTracker and the tecniques of El Capitan, the ' MacBookAir2, 1 "MacBook Air (late 2008) model and later version can run software current of El Capitan - if there is enough disk space and memory available.  See the tech for the minimum requirements.

If you have 10.5, you buy OS X 10.6 Apple and upgrade to it and from there you can move towards more current OS X software.

  • alternatives to LogMeIn Pro for remote access?

Greetings.  Currently, we have systems in the United States, Switzerland and the Mexico that I supported via remote access using LogMeIn Pro.  We paid for a subscription before free LMI Pro has been abandoned even to appreciate the characteristics of LMI Pro.  But as LMI has eliminated this free service, it seems their subscription rate more than doubled each year.  We currently need remote access to 3 Macs and 2 units of Windows (ew).

Last year, we paid $174. for the annual subscription in support of these 5 systems.  I just checked on the price of renewal and it shows $349.00 for renewal.  This is getting too expensive!

Last year, I invested in ARD to support my mother MacBook and the MacBook from an old friend, rather than pay LMI for a subscription in support of these systems.  ARD was a good alternative for these systems, but it is not a realistic alternative to remote systems for charity I help support.  Partly because of the PC, also because what it requires port forwarding in the router and finally because I have to be at my computer to use ARD to access those other systems.  LMI offers the possibility to access systems through an iOS app and can be used by other members of the team of charity, anywhere in the world everyone is physically located.  That's why we have maintained the LMI Pro subscriptions for a number of years.

But with the perennial increase rate of LMI ridiculous (I think they can take their pricing of Obamacare), I'm on my eternal quest for an alternative to remote access.

    Can anyone offer advice?

  • Mac Mini 2011 - AMD Radeon GPU failure

    Hi all

Apple launched an extended warranty for Imac:

    MacBook:

I've had my mac for less than 1 month.

I added 12 gigabytes of photos and videos. And less than 1 GB of files. (4 files to be exact)

My macbook says "Startup disk is full."  When I look in 'about my mac' he said I got 96 gigs of 'OTHERS '.

    Thank you

First of all understand what represents the OTHER category:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT202867

Download the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all your files and respective sizes. Transfer to a HARD drive external files don't want on your Mac or remove them.

Don't forget to empty the trash. Then only the space is allocated additional data.

    Ciao.

  • Download error when ordering books using Photos app

I'm about to order a wedding through the Photos app album. I did recently (a month or two ago) and now its come to Christmas I made a few versions, slightly modified for the members of the family.

But this time when I order it, it generates then download the project but reached 99%, jumps down to 86% and then when it gets to 100% the blue bar goes backward then climbs to about 105% and freezes.

If anyone has experienced this? Or know a solution?

I restarted the program and then also my computer to try to get this to work, but to no avail.

All software is the latest version, 10.11.1 with the 1.2 more recent photos.

MBP 2.5 15, plenty of memory and storage space.

    Thanks in advance

    Nick

Similar problem here - trying to order a calendar. It downloads up to 99%, and then freezes for a short time, then starts counting again from 47% and runs up to 107% where it gets stuck... until, finally, the Photos app crashes or gives an error of connection. I saw the two results.

Tried to open a ticket through the Apple support online, and he tells me I have to pay €29 for the support, because my MacBook Pro is out of AppleCare - I know, but it comes to order something from Apple and it won't let me...

I'm getting a little tired of Apple these days - the latest version of the software they've been releasing (e.g. the Photos for OS X app) could be overwhelming as BETA a few years ago. "It works" - no more...
