• Moving files in macOS Sierra

  In previous versions of OS X to move a file of a key USB or other external drive I could just highlight the file. Then I hold down button 'command' and press my pad and move the file. Since the upgrade to Mac OS that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

• MacBook Pro mid-2012 running hot (MacOS Sierra)

  I have a MBP mid-2012 13 inch with 16 GB. of ram and a 500 GB. SSD

  I had it set up with boot camp and dualboot El Capitan and MS-Windows-10

  Everything is working, all the features and functions in the two operating systems.

  I was very pleased with this MBP.

  Recently, I put a new battery in it and upgraded to Mac OS Sierra.

  Since then the MBP runs hot.

  It heats up very quickly.

  Is this a common problem with macOS Sierra?

  Or do you think that the NEW battery maybe causing the MBP get HOT?

  I use an adapter to power 85 watts OEM.

  The battery seems to work fine.

  Several demons as mdworker are running to set up the Sierra which CPU load until adjustment ended.

• macOS Sierra: Finder does not

  I'm running a 2011 end MacBook Pro with macOS Sierra (10.12) running. It is a new installation of the system. Its an i7, 8 GB ram, and a 512 SSD running.

  The system works really well, but now and then the Finder completely freezes upward with many applications refusing to start. When I try to force quit them, everything except the Finder can be quit. In an attempt to relaunch the Finder, it just crashes and goes into a loop does not.

  Another strange thing, I've seen, it's Photos.app said now "Closed library" or something to that effect. Not able to reproduce every time, but it happens now and then.

  My doubts are on my oneDrive synchronizes running may at this time? -J' have two account personal and business running on them at the moment. Aside, the only other cloud service is iCloud (with iCloud Drive work with the new feature of office and Documents).

  At this point, I had to reset hard at the computer to make it work again.

  I have the same problem with the Finder on my iMac late 2009 after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra. When I double click on any folder or the Finder, I get the 'beachball', Finder becomes "inadmissible", and when I try to restart the Finder, nothing happens. I can't get Finder operational return. The only solution is to reboot. And frankly, I'm tired of reboot five times a day. I think that this happens generally when I'm under Safari. Not sure if it's one of the reasons why Finder crashes. I already tried to reinstall Sierra with no luck.

• 4 finger swipe does not work under macOS Sierra!

  Hey all, I upgraded to macOS Sierra and noticed that one of my function used more regularly on Mac OS, 4 finger swipe to switch between desktop computers does not work! Mine is an April 2011 MacBook Pro.

  Earlier, 2 fingers sliding back in the files, similar to switching back and forward for the Web pages in Safari, has been abandoned without reason penetrable. I hope that's not the same fate for 4 finger swipe to switch between desktops.

  I probably use hundreds of times every day for switching between desktop computers because I have safari, MS Word and open the mail outside of iTunes on separate workstations. I hope that a fix is released soon!

  Apple, do not bite of useful outdoors features!

  4 finger swipe works for me and appears as the 2nd part of the Trackpad Control Panel.

  I had been using spotlight to search for words in El Capitan without any problems before. However I just upgraded to Sierra and spotlight returns no definition of the word. I did a clean install, but no changes in the light of the preferences. All options are selected as they come by default. It was a feature that I used all the time and it helped me so much. All the solutions I could try?

  I see that you are unable to search using Spotlight definitions under macOS Sierra.  I know it's important to have the ability to look up definitions of words in Spotlight, and I'm happy to help you.  In order to further isolate the issue, please create a new account manager and test to see if the problem persists in the new user account.  Here are the instructions to do this:

  Photoshop CS3 works as well as it did for me with El Capitan with Sierra.  There may be some features that don't work, but none that I use.

  As a precaution, we always recommend that you have backups to make sure that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Use this article to help make a backup of your Mac: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

  Then, in accordance with article help: printer and scanner for Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks macOS software, the HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one is supported for printing and scanning. The drivers must be installed, but if not, if it please go to the App Store and check the updates tab to see if there are updates for HP. If there is, please install.

• macOS Sierra stuck on the Time Machine backup

  Its been 2 weeks now since I updated to macOS Sierra and my Time Machine backup is always stuck on "preparing backup" and I tried different disc backup on another partition but still no luck.
