Is Microsoft intend to stop support for all versions of Pre-windows 10 in the near (within the next year) future?

I've heard that Windows 10 must be the final version of Windows and that, in the future it will be improved through Windows updates.

This suggests the "retirement" of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1?

    Hello

After running then changing the main image, I've updated the image of our cloud. Once the update of the virtual machine would not load, giving the below error

We believe that it is somehow to do with Hyper-V under Windows 2008 and vWorkSpace running on Windows 2012 - the VHDX format is not supported by the version of Hyper-V server. A glance online confirms this. So my question is, how update the master image changed the format VHD vWorkSpace wants to use and is there a way to assign vWorkSpace don't know this format?

I have widely in search of a solution to this line and not found anything it either, nor there seems a clear way in the vWorkSpace console to change that.

    Thank you

    Hello

I suspect that you have created a snapshot on your model.  It is not supported, if you delete the snapshot so that the .avhd is merged to the vhd/vhdx and update the model in vWorkspace again.  If this does not work, you will need to delete the model of vWorkspace and then re-import.

Does anyone know if there is a page that lists all the updates and security fixes for all versions of Coldfusion? I find their update/patch pages of description to be very frustrating to also manage/announce/make available their updates/corrections. I use CF9.0.2.

  • do all versions of OS Windows in a similar way as

do all versions of OS windows in a similar way as

Yes and no. Microsoft has been working hard on making sure that the look and feel (user experience) is very similar acros several versions of windows so users don't need much addapting from time to the new user interface. Up to Windows Vista, the internal workings were very similar. Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft has done a lot of work on the internals of the operating system. Although, if I remember correctly, the core system has not changed since Windows 98 (maybe even Windows 95). But of course, since then, many new features have been introduced, and bugs have been fixed.

  • If I leave the IE8 on Windows XP Mode, but never use it, is there a way I can be hacked by him once Microsoft stops support for Windows XP?

Original title: Windows XP in virtual mode

I have Windows 7.1 with Windows XP in virtual mode so that I can use older products, not supported by 7.1.  In virtual XP mode, there is an Internet Explorer 8.  I understand that after Microsoft eliminates support for XP that can cause future security issues.  I run the latest version of Internet Explorer on my Windows 7.1.  If I leave the IE8 on the virtual XP mode but never use it, is there a way I can be hacked through it?  Should I remove the IE8 completely of the virtual Windows XP?

If you never use IE (any version), it cannot be 'hacked '.

If you wanted to be doubly secured, you can prevent accidental use by uninstalling...

    • Open the Control Panel - Add or remove programs
    • Remove IE8 (and IE7 if necessary) - click to highlight, then click on remove
    • Click Add/Remove Windows components
    • Uncheck the box Internet Explorer and click Next

  • MS has stopped support for Windows 7 updates?

I tried to get Windows 7 to download and apply updates after reloading my laptop from scratch. If I load MS System Center before SP1, System Center hog all the resources and the laptop has no effect.

If I load SP1 right after I installed Windows 7, SP1 takes 8 hours, with TrustedInstaller taking all of the resources and the SPINST barely get all resources, even if the updates are disabled. A control is completed, for updates took two days until now and still nothing. I have an instance of SVCHOST that takes between 1.5 GB 2.5 GB, as it intentionally uses the resources to prevent updates of race.

Last year, I successfully rebooted Win7 on more than 50 laptops, I support computers at a local college, so this is not something new for me. I also have been loading OS on the midrange and personal computers, including Windows, Linux and Mac, for 20 years.

If this is the way for Microsoft to force updates to Win10 by closing the updates for Win7, I will seek to Linux or Mac.

Laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1520 with a Dual Core 2 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB HARD drive. Been running Win7 on it very well for a few years, reloaded just because the HARD drive failed.

I also tried various patches KB as suggested by other posts of loading, but it does the same thing, just using all resources while doing nothing.

The value of the automatic updates to "never check updates" and then restart Windows. Then, install KB3020369 and KB3172605.

  • Netflix/Silverlight support for all eternity Syndrome

About half of the shows that I watch on Netflix are affected by what I call the syndrome of "load for all eternity. He played for 5 or 7 minutes, then start of loading and will never get more than 0%, unless I refresh the page, then 5 to 7 minutes later does it again. But NOT for all the shows I watch. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Silverlight, but that has not worked. I use a Qosmio X 775 with Windows 7, I have a strong inclination, it's the laptop or a problem of Silverlights, because my husband watch netflix on our pc with the same wireless, and it has no problem.

Doesn't make sure that no firewall or internet security thing is trying to block.

  • So bored with Adobe because, after a year, I stopped my subscription, all my office applications are suddenly in the mode 'test '.

I am a user of Adobe for a long time, until CS6 Adobe; I bought his so-called Master Collection. After Adobe began to Cloud creative advertise everywhere, my school advised me to CC because it had more powerful editing tools. I asked, ' what do I have to pay permanently for the subscription or can I stop after a year, but still be able to use all the applications I have installed within this year?" The response has been, I can keep the applications installed and they will be fully functional even if I stopped subscription.

Now, after a year I quit my subscription (4 July), but then in the weeks all my office applications are placed under the "test" mode So confused and frustrated, I contacted Adobe for help, but in the chat room, the only repeated answer that I got was "I suggest you to place a new order for the subscription to use." I am very very disappointed with that kind of response, and also Adobe forcing me to continue to pay or return CS6, makes me very angry (I know where is my property?). I'm trying to find out the experiences of other users.

  • NET is not supported by all versions of IOS?

    Hi guys,.

    I've got 2 routers, one is a 878 with a lvl IOS 12.4 (15) T4 RE and the second is a 1760 with a lvl 12.3(6b) IOS.

Even if Cisco documents are tellin me the two device supports the Net flow, I had trouble with my system.

I had a doubt on my IOS lvls and I was wondering is there a minimum requirement of lvl IOS on net flow on these materials?

My problem might need an IOS update before resolution?

    Clues will be essentially welcome...

    Ozzy

    Hello

You try to configure netflow legacy or flexible netflow? Specifically, what is the command you are trying to configure the router does not? NetFlow must be supported on all platforms, and you can use the navigation feature to make sure the release/feature minimum requirement for the version of the platform and the software you are interested in:

  • What is the date of end of support for Firefox version 19?

I wish to confirm the date of end of support for version 19, February 2013?

Security updates support ends when the next version of Firefox is released, so while Firefox 20 was released 6 weeks ago and 21 Firefox will be available Tuesday, May 14, that means that Firefox 19 is is no longer officially supported.

I see that you are still running Firefox 17.

Is there a special reason why you don't have not updated to the current version?

The version of Firefox Firefox 17 that you are currently running is no longer compatible with security updates

Please upgrade to the latest version of Firefox 20.0.x.
