Is that someone has seen an ORA-16796 (impossible to import the properties) in DGMGRL?

Hello brain trust,

I have an Oracle 11.1.0.7 primary and have configured an 11.1.0.7 Eve. The config is our recipe for 10g. The broker is in place on both sides.

I'm going to add DGMGRL primary, no problem. But when I add the day before, I get ORA-16796 (impossible to import the properties). Digging into tracking logs, he mentions an ORA-01017 (username/password invalid). But I have no problem connecting as "conn sys/password@db_standby as sysdba".

I got this ORA-16796 times before in the distant past, and the problem is that someone has changed the SYS password on the primary without updating the eve orapwd file. In this case, it is NOT the problem. I put in a fresh orapwd on both sides (bounced the DBs later), and I explicitly put the SYS password on primary before cloning the expectations. And once again, no problem doing a "CONN sys/***@db_standby as sysdba" primary. I can talk to the wait, look at its tables of $ V, etc. tnsping, etc all work fine. listening port on both sides shows services. DG broker is in place on both sides.

Tried the shuffle "stop broker, remove all the config, start db broker, try again ' a few times with no luck.

I'm really scratching my head on what it could be. Open an SR with Oracle, but I was wondering if anyone here has any other advice?

Something has radically changed 10 g-> 11 g about DG? I admit that this is our first instance 11g and I'm based its config on what we are doing for 10g.

Something was changing in the security about the SYSDBA distance model? Again, I have no problem connecting as SYSDBA in the primary for the ORA-01017 really confused me.

The config is the result of our recipe of 10g - you copied the file password from the primary to the standby when you create the day before? 11g a password different internals file and simply create one for the day before with the same password no longer works.

  • ORA-01654: impossible to extend the index error or a bug?

    Hi all

I have a question about the error "ORA-01654: impossible to extend the index schema1024 in tablespace tablespace .index '.

We use Oracle 10 g 2 (10.2.0.4.0) who has a diagram with auto extend feature enabled and more than enough space on the disk (like 130 + GB).

But still, we had this error and it is the third time that happens, what can be the cause and what can we do to fix or is this a bug?

Can you please give more information about the tbsp concerned and its data files?

Even if it's in autoextend, a small file tablespace has a maxsize, and even if you assign unlimited there a maxsize value that depends on the size of your block.

    Kind regards

It seems that the value for minextents for your tablespace is located at 56 and tablespace doesnot have enough space to allocate as much quantity of memory regarding the contiguoes extensions. Then, either you need to add a data file tablespace or resize the existing table. You can also try the decrease of the Minextents value for the tablespace if you think this tablespace has enough space to accommodate segments. Better would be to add a file or resize a file.

  • ORA-1654 <>- impossible to extend the index

We have an oracle application server and we started having errors ORA-1654. After digging through files newspapers, we found an error: ORA-1654: impossible to extend the JTF index. 16 in the APPS_TS_TX_IDX tablespace JTF_IH_ACTIVITIES_N6.

From what I understand, we must add a data file of our system. We currently have 4 data files that are 4 GB each. What is the solution? If Yes, what is the safest way to do it. Can I copy the files of 4 DB to another location and restore in this way, if the added file doesn't work or what is the best practice for this type of action? Thank you

    Hi ToolMan,

Cannot extend the JTF index. 16 in the APPS_TS_TX_IDX tablespace JTF_IH_ACTIVITIES_N6.

This means that the index needs to grow in space and is full of tablespace APPS_TS_TX_IDX.
You must add datafille, it's regular daily dba work nothing to worry about.
    Action plan:
    1. first check where are the data APPS_TS_TX_IDX files--> select file_name in dba_data_files where tablesapce_name = 'APPS_TS_TX_IDX ';
    2. check that you have enough space in the filsystem.
    3. Add datafile--> alter tablespace APPS_TS_TX_IDX add datafile ' / path to the data file ' size XXXM;

  • ORA-01654: impossible to extend the index DRM_DB. IDXREL02 by 1024 in the DRM_INDEX tablespace

    Hello

I am running a script of action in DRM 11.1.2.1 and I received the following on some lines of the script error: ORA-01654: impossible to extend the index DRM_DB. IDXREL02 by 1024 in the tablespace DRM_INDEX.

Nobody knows what it means, and what is the solution?

    Thank you

The problem was caused because the DRM_DB. Tablespace IDXREL02 was up.

Add the data to the existing 'IDXREL02' table file to increase the size.

    example-

    SQL > alter tablespace DRM_DB. IDXREL02 add datafile ' file > / IDXREL02.dbf ' size 500M autoextend on;

    Thank you

  • ORA-01654: impossible to extend the APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_ROW_TEMPLATE_PK index by 8 in the APEX_APP_USER tablespace

    Hi all!
need help - creating an application in Application Express 4.2.4.00.08 and got this error when you click Create:

ORA-01654: impossible to extend the APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_ROW_TEMPLATE_PK index by 8 in the APEX_APP_USER tablespace

    everything worked perfectly before...

installed on the local computer on Oracle 11 g...

    all solutions?

    Hello

You can find APEX schema tablespace and data file using for example query

    SELECT f.tablespace_name
      ,f.file_name
    FROM dba_data_files f
    WHERE EXISTS (
      SELECT 1
      FROM dba_users u
      WHERE u.username = 'APEX_040200'
      AND u.default_tablespace = f.tablespace_name
    );

Then increase the size of the data file or add the new data file. In addition, you can activate the automatic extension.

    Modify and maintain storage

If you use database 11g XE and you have installed APEX SYSAUX tablespace, you may have worn size the system tablespace (s) max.

    # Remote disc is a feature that allows you to use the CD drive from another computer.

It is perfectly normal.  No one has access to your computer.

  • ORA-01691: impossible to extend the confusions of lob segment

    Hi all

    11.2.0.1 64-bit

    on DELL R610

    It seemed oracle missed

I am inserting a large table with LOB pictures with 300,000 lines. I expect not to occupy the 40G drive. So I created 3 data files on the USERS tablespace where my diagram

by default. From Oracle or the server or according to which of them is the culprit has the limit of 32G per data file even if they are the two 64-bit. This, I do not understand why? I thought

Only 32-bit OS and Oracle 32bin has limited the maximum size of 32G on each data file? But I found out that now that he has failed on two platform.

So what I've done is create another 2 data files in the USERS tablespace. Then I insert again, but still, I got ORA-1691. I can see that

/oradata/USERS1.dbf a 32G size feel we reach the limit, but I don't understand why he did not move for the next 2 dbfs? who were intact

    /oradata/users2.dbf has 2G (original intact)

    /oradata/users3.dbf has 2G (original intact)

Is oracle not smart enough to see that there are other available data files?

Please help me shed some light on this confusion

    Thank you very much

Look for error messages in the alert.log

Is your LOB segment in tablespace even?

Windows (well Yes...) Sorry)... Server 2008 Enterprise SP1

I have provided a seller a COLD backup and a BACKUP CONTROLFILE to TRACE file.

When they go to OPEN RESETLOGS ORA-00344, ora-27040, while they receive the operating system support (OSD-04001)

I don't have access to the restoration site... so I'll have the seller try things... my next step is to change the db_block_size to 4096 vs 8192

They are able to build the controlfile: CREATE CONTROLFILE SET DATABASE 'XXXXX' resetlogs noarchivelog

the issue is in the open air

It has even deleted the LOG file groups to let the o/s to build it... still committed an error... ideas?

RESOLVED: redo block size must be a multiple of the db_block_size, which it was (512 k again and 8192 db).

A few internet searches / messages supposed to reduce the db_block_size... we did it... to 4096 and it worked.  Don't know why it worked in an o/s to 8 k and had to be reduced to another (same configuration... supposedly)
