  Solved the problem by creating the same smbusers in window Machine to start the Service Manager of Service of Runtime recognition of forms WebCenter.

  Means that both users should be same which is access the \\IPMServer\InputAgent folder and the recognition forms starting WebCenter Runtime Service Manager Service.

  I installed the Web center version 11.1.1.8.0 pattern recognition, I supported on the steps of pre-installation as (.NET Framework, IIS etc.)

  Now for the configuration, I use the installation guide that comes with pattern recognition software, but it's a little confusing.

  I installed the Web center content (as well as the configuration capture and Imaging) to the linux server.

  My database is also installed on the linux server.

  Can anyone suggest me any other document then complete installation guide that includes the process step by step to set up the installation of pattern recognition.

  Given the version of your database is 9.2.0.8 and you want to upgrade to 11.2.0.4 and 9i database is running with log mode archive

  I have plan.

  (2) you can take backup of Database 9i with RMAN

  (3) you can restore the backup to the base in 2008 (by using 11.2.0.4 software)

  (4) when the recovery is complete, you can open the database with resetlogs option upgrade.

  change the upgrade of open database resetlog.

  (5) once the database is open, you can run 'Upgrade PROCESS'

  (6) it should complete your upgrade in 2008

  If you think, restoration and recovery will take time, so you can install physics Eve with 11.2.0.4 version in 2008 for the Database 9i.

  If I'm not wrong then the Oracle 9i database is out of support since juil.-2007. JDeveloper and ADF certifies and supports the unsupported database versions or operating systems. So I hope that answers the "why". The real solution is to upgrade the database, because that's the reason that will block you for what your client is to move forward.

  As mentioned Baig, you must first create an alias in the tnsnames.ora file, as

  I have this request which I am not able to solve. There is a location of the log archiving mentioned as /oraarch/app/oracle/oradata/snlprod/archive_logs/in the parameter log_archive_dest_1. But the archive logs appear in another location/orabackup/rman/snlprod/archive_logs. I wonder how the archive logs show at this location, / orabackup/rman/snlprod/archive_logs.

  I am trying to connect to Oracle 11 g Server (11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit), but the form constructor closes as soon as I give the credentials.

  There are a few reasons why it won't work.
  -If your database uses AL32UTF8 as database characterset, it won't
  -If you set the database parameter sec_case_sensitive_logon then you cannot connect (unless you use passwords in uppercase)
  -I'm not quite sure, but I remember having problems when Forms 6i wasn't on the last group of patches also, it does not work

  As of such forms will not connect to an AL32UTF8 database, so if you use this game you're out of luck, and there's not much you can do.
