The second option takes me around the loop again. The first option tells me that it cannot fix the problem automatically. When I display the error details, it lists all of the tests, as adopted successfully, but ends with the words: "Root cause found: failure so that the Setup program is underway.

  If you really want to resurrect, you could certainly purchase a new hard drive and try to restore the system of work using the recovery media - but then, even if it did work, you would have still lost all your data, settings, and applications in the process - and having to reinstall all your applications everywhere again.

  Hey, don't feel bad, I'm guilty of this too - has recently attempted to resurrect an era Tablet XP PC so that it can run Win10!  He went from XP to Vista, Win7, for Win8 - and along the way, gains of new memory and drives hard - but the Win10 bet was too.  So, I got to a "give up to use it.

  However, I also kept a cell phone 5 year alive by replacing the HDD with a SSD and adding more memory.  So now it is faster than ever, it has been and works like new.

  But... He has NO touchscreen, there no USB3 ports, it doesn't have 1 GB ethernet - and the list goes.

  Thus, it works very well for what we use it for - but it can't really be upgraded, so sooner or later, we will have to replace it.

  Everything depends on how much you need 'new' - touch screen, stylus, handwriting, camera, 3 USB ports, display port jack, HDMI ports... etc.

  I did some further research and came across this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949377 while it is not the same update I tried to install it, the problem seemed similar. I tried Microsoft fix it at the bottom of the page and I tried again to install MSI 4.5. This time, it worked.

  Hi people. Got a prob a little. Vista stopped booting the other night. So, I tried safe mode, and it hung on crcdisk.sys. So, I decided to get in shape. Problem is, it will boot from the DVD, but will not load / access the Setup screen (I waited for 7-8 minutes and nothing's happened, shows just the thing with the green bar).

  Not too sure if it's because the hard drive is 1 TB (but Vista was on the same front hdd with Windows 7). I tried to remove the 2 GB of ram (I use 4). No go. Tried another DVD rom, not go. Removed USB devices that have been connected. No go. I know that the DVD itself is fine. I tried on the other PC here, the installation screen came within 2-3 minutes. But his is not a 1 to (its 250 GB) the only DVD that will work / I install is the Windows 7 DVD.  So, how can I reinstall Vista?

  I deleted all partitions / recreated with the Win7 installation as well. Still couldn't get Vista to get to the Setup screen

  Finally fixed it. I read that USB legacy can also cause this. So, I disabled it. Everything is good. Managed to get to the Setup screen, then reinstall Vista

  I reinstalled a new version of Win. XP Pro Sp3 and it wiped out many of my programs, so I have been re - install. Of course, I lost the registry and have to build a new by reinstalling my programs. But my Photoshop 7 CD seems to have a dead setup.exe file and he won't answer as before. I tried everything including turning off virus program. I don't know what else to do.   But I just live a miracle and installed like butter - to my total surprise.  I will share my experience in case where someone Vienna with a similar problem and maybe help them my situation.

  When I installed the "rescue disk" to replace my whole OS on my laptop, technicians had given me a choice in the options that I didn't really know how to choose, and I've been an IT professional at the end of the 1990s. That's where I got in trouble. What I wanted to do, it was just to crush my Windows XP Pro SP3, as we do in the 'old days' when computers were free and not all the owners. When I chose to remove the current Windows partition to make room for the new facility, apparently she also deleted the registry and my computer had no knowledge of the programs I had installed and I had to reinstall just about everything.   I thought I was okay with that.

  Finalizing the installation of the new Windows OS, I was asked to give my computer a 'name '.  Well, I do remember that I never gave a name before and there was no place for me to go to discover. When I made this choice, I received the message that the major change would be that the name of the computer would change "Judi" to "JudiLenova."  I thought it might solve some of my problem. Surprisingly, it seems to have solved the problem of Photoshop because I put the disc in my drive D: and wide, she went without a hitch!

  My hunch is that BACK could not find the Install Shield to activate the installation. Whatever the cause of the miracle, I am grateful that I didn't not throw my computer in the Lake outside my window... but of course, it was tempting.

  Thanks again for your attempts to rescue me. I hope this helps the guy next door happens.  Now, I'll try to install the rest of my beloved old programs Adobe and everything.   Fingers crossed!

  on the assumption that you always have access to the navigation bar, right click on the stop button, when the home page is loaded and check the 'Menu Bar' option in the context menu that appears.

  I found sites that allow image .iso for free downloading - however cool gave Apple $20 to download from their website - I'm hesitant to run out of what I guess that they are treated as counterfeit software. Is there anyway to extract the .iso of my latest version of Mac OS x image file?

  Thanks for dropping by the HP's Support Forums! I see that you do not want to reconnect to your HP Officejet 8720 to your wireless network. When you try to do that, you get a message that the feature has been disabled.

  You should be able to do this by restoring the network defaults in the front panel. Follow the steps below:

  Icon Wireless > Wireless menu > restore default network values > Yes

  I also noticed that you use the Mac OS X 10.6, in order to install the printer you need to install a Mac printer driver using Apple Software Update
